Dangerous Women of Wrestling TV debut

TORONTO — The Fight Network will be adding Dangerous Women of Wrestling to its exciting stable of cutting-edge pro wrestling programming starting this August.

“We strive to bring our viewers something unique and this program is exactly that,” said Ariel Shnerer, The Fight Network’s Programming Manager. “As opposed to our classic pro wrestling programming including Ring of Honor, CMLL and Ultimate Classic Wrestling, Dangerous Women of Wrestling takes things in a completely different direction with entertaining antics, innovative storylines and matches, as well as obvious sex appeal. There is a market for both fans of scantily clad women and hardcore mayhem, as well as enthusiasts of classic matches featuring Harley Race and Ric Flair.”

An Open Letter from Mike Aldren

The following statement is a public response to Dawn Marie’s open letter regarding Wrestlers Rescue which featured on several wrestling websites earlier this week:

For the last three years Dawn Marie has promoted Wrestlers Rescue as a charity to raise monies to help and support the health care needs of retired professional wrestlers. During that time Dawn has sent me numerous emails asking my help to spread word of her fund raising activities through my writings relating to this project. I duly obliged in most instances.

An Open Letter from Dawn Marie

On behalf of myself, the Wrestlers’ Rescue organization, and the many volunteers and donors, I’d like to strenuously deny and condemn the false and baseless defamatory statements currently circulating concerning an alleged investigation and or corruption in Wrestlers’ Rescue. Not only are the accusations false they contain no merit and they are disrespectful to the volunteers who have invested their time, energies, and hearts into helping former professional wrestlers in need. These statements (most of which appear to have begun following comments made by Mike Aldren) are defamatory and contain no basis or fact. These unfounded false allegations have put at risk our efforts to help the former stars who currently face major personal, medical, and financial crises. The damage these falsehoods may have done to real people (not wrestling “characters”) is immeasurable.

With three weeks to go at this writing, WWE is concentrating on two main matches: the seven-on-seven war between Nexus and Team Cena and the WWE Championship tilt between Randy Orton and Sheamus.

Booking Hard(core) Justice

HeadLocker — Jay Shannon
How I would book Hard Core Justice

Our resident philosopher, Jay Shannon, sits down in the Booker’s chair to set up ECW’s (alleged) Last Hurrah…Hard (Core) Justice.

TNA has decided that somethings will never be allowed to die. They are setting up another One Night Stand-like show, with former ECW stars both performing and running the thing. I thought I would take a look at some of the possible match-ups. These are based on the announcements of who will be there and who might be there.
