Roderick Strong sent a ripple effect throughout the ROH locker room last February when he surprised everyone and turned on Austin Aries to start the No Remorse Corps. In the past seven months everyone up and down the ROH roster has chosen sides and made alignments. Now the battle lines are clearly defined. Here is your guide to ROH faction scene:

-No Remorse Corps: Roderick Strong was joined by Rocky Romero and Davey Richards to form a dangerous trio. These three combine their hard-hitting athleticism and “no remorse” attitude to be a force in ROH. So far they have proven to be the faction to beat.

-The Resilience: Austin Aries countered the NRC by bringing together two of ROH’s hottest prospects in Erick Stevens and Matt Cross to form The Resilience. Aries said he would guide this young talent to the top like he did in Generation Next. When Aries was forced to leave ROH for a few months early in the summer it put a momentary stop to The Resilience’s momentum. However, now things seem to be clicking for the trio and they are capable of defeating anyone on any given night.

-The Age Of The Fall: Months of mystery came to an end on 9/15 when Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black, Necro Butcher and Lacey emerged as The Age Of The Fall. For fans who want to dive deeply into the backstory there is an intricate story told on the internet. If you want the bare bones all you have to know is that The Age Of The Fall destroyed ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe in perhaps the bloodiest attack in all of wrestling history in their debut. The Age Of The Fall are still mobilizing members, even dipping into the ROH fanbase. They are also working outside the ROH system as they have set up their own webpage at AgeOfTheFall.com.

-The Vulture Squad: Jack Evans enlisted the help of Julius Smokes as his manager, who then added Ruckus to form The Vulture Squad. This is a high-flying unit and Smokes brings an intense edge. Their first targets are the No Remorse Corps. The Vulture Squad sent word that they will add a new member on 10/5 in Boston. Things are just getting started for The Vulture Squad.

-The Hangmen Three: Adam Pearce has put together ROH’s most physically imposing faction with Brent Albirght and BJ Whitmer. Of course, you always have to watch out for Pearce’s lackey Shane Hagadorn. This group is just getting started so we will soon see what kind of chemistry these brutes have together.

-Sweet & Sour Inc: Super agent Larry Sweeney insists that his charges in Sweet & Sour Inc. shouldn’t be called a faction or a stable. Sweeney says he has “clients” and right now his main clients are Chris Hero and SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey. Add personal trainer Tank Toland and his project Bobby Dempsey and you have quite a collection of personalities. Sweeney has not indicated if he will add new clients or focus on Hero and Del Rey as singles wrestlers.

With such a crowded landscape some factions are bound to rise while others will fall. These factions will now focus on titles and feuds. This will lead to more competition up and down the ROH card, which in turn means more action for the fans. Everyone has chosen their sides, now war will begin. Who will rise to the top?

September 19th: The new ROH Video Wire will be up later today or on Thursday for free at ROHvideos.com. ROH officials are still debating exactly what to show from the gory incident where The Age Of The Fall made their debut to attack ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe. This incident went way over the line and is not the kind of product ROH strives to present. However, it is a historical happening that is changing the course of ROH so it should be made available to the fans. Nothing like this has ever been seen before. Witness what everyone is talking about in the next ROH Video Wire at ROHvideos.com.
September 19th: As you will see from a passionate promo by The Briscoes in the next ROH Video Wire, Jay & Mark don’t want to wait to fight The Age Of The Fall of Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black & Necro Butcher with Lacey. They won’t have to because the first match between these two teams will take place on 10/5 in Boston. It will be a non-title match since The Age Of The Fall have never even won a match in ROH. ROH officials will not reward them with an immediate title shot. The Briscoes say that is fine with them because now they can just focus on the fight in Boston. Jay & Mark want all the fans in Boston to know that if they thought that last time was crazy against Kevin Steen & El Generico, wait until you see what happens on 10/5. There are still great 2nd row seats available at ROHwrestling.com.
September 19th: ROH is really loading up the October 5th Boston event at the conveniently located Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in the heart of Boston on Tremont St. and just seconds from the MBTA. Two of ROH’s aces have sent challenges to each other to see who is the best. It is one of ROH’s longest running rivalries and it is back on in Boston. October 5th will witness wrestling at its best when Bryan Danielson takes on Austin Aries!!! It doesn’t get any better than this. We have an updated lineup for Boston below.

European Vacation II – 26, 27 & 28 October, 2007!
September 19 Update
By Silverback, PWG Staff Writer

Zurich, Switzerland – Just over two months ago, we here at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla ( http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) announced that we would be returning to Europe on 26, 27, & 28 October, 2007 for “European Vacation II.” Since that announcement was made, numerous momentous events have occurred in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, events that could potentially change the complexion of the entire “European Vacation II” tour. Events such as “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson becoming Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Champion, or “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen & El Generico becoming Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Champions, or Joey Ryan purchasing a crate of pomade specifically designed for mustaches, in hopes of winning the 2007 World Mustache Championships (he missed the entry deadline). Not to mention the 2007 Battle of Los Angeles, and how the level of competition in the tournament was higher than it ever has been before, which will force everyone in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla to step up their game that much higher. “That’s all well and good,” you might be saying, “but I’ve been following you guys, and I know all of that already, but how does that effect ‘European Vacation II?'” You might also be wondering why you said that with an American accent, since, if you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re from foreign parts and speak all weird. Enough about your strange ways; How do these events effect Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s “European Vacation II?” Simply read on to find out!

With “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson winning the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship at “Giant-Size Annual #4” in July, it lead to concerns that title and the champion would not be appearing on the “European Vacation II” tour. However, those fears were put to rest when it was announced that Danielson would be putting the belt on the line in Europe on all three nights, if he manages to retain the title. “If he manages to retain” being the key phrase here, since Danielson’s three title defenses could prove to be overwhelming. On Night One of “European Vacation II” in Paris, France, Bryan Danielson will defend the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Title against Nigel McGuinness. If he is still champion, on Night Two in Portsmouth, England, Danielson will defend the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Title against Martin Stone. If Danielson manages to defeat his competition and enter Essen, Germany with the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship around his waist, he is then scheduled to put the title on the line against El Generico, in a rematch from Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s fourth anniversary show!

With the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship taken care of, what becomes of the World Tag Team Championship? After the surprising turn of events at “Giant-Size Annual #4” where El Generico & Kevin Steen won the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Titles, many fans were reminded of another tag team that had trouble getting along, but managed to function exceptionally well as champions. Which is why it is fitting that on Night Two of “European Vacation II,” in Portsmouth, England, El Generico & “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen will put the newly won Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Titles on the line against former champions Davey Richards & Super Dragon. Once the most dominant force in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Dragon & Richards lost the titles after Dragon was injured by The Dynasty, and that appeared to be the end of the once successful tag team. But earlier this year at the Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament (DDT4), Dragon & Richards reunited in what was widely anticipated as being a return to form for their team, only to be defeated in the first round by the eventual tournament winners. Then on the following evening, Davey Richards’ frustration boiled over, and he abandoned Super Dragon in an eight person tag team match, allowing Dragon to take the loss as Richards walked away in disgust at the state of their once great tag team.

Unknown to Richards at the time, Super Dragon had actually returned early from his injuries, and was not functioning at 100% in the tournament. When Davey found out, he saw how much the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Titles meant to Dragon, and because he still hoped to regain the titles one day as well, he decided to once more team with Super Dragon. But this time, after Dragon completed physical therapy, he and Richards began training together rigorously, intent on recapturing their titles, and their former glory. With the most dangerous tag team Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has ever seen hell bent on destruction, do El Generico & Kevin Steen even stand a chance? Fans will find out when Pro Wrestling Guerrilla visits Portsmouth, England on Saturday, 27 October, 2007 for “European Vacation II!”

However, it may not be El Generico & Kevin Steen putting the titles on the line in Portsmouth! On Night One of “European Vacation II,” the champions will be putting their belts in a match that will undoubtedly be the focus of worldwide attention! Check the “European Vacation II” mini-site for details about this match, and the rest of the “European Vacation II” tour in the weeks ahead.

Because Kevin Steen is tentatively scheduled to face the newly reunited Super Dragon & Davey Richards on Night Two, that leaves “The Man That Gravity Forgot” PAC without a match. Since debuting with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in 2006, PAC has made quite an impact in the intervening months, and Night Two of “European Vacation II” was his chance to show his fellow countrymen how he has excelled in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in a match with a former World Champion. Because that match was out of the question, Commissioner Dino Winwood offered PAC a chance to face anyone on the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla roster he wanted, as a show of appreciation for his hard work over the past year. It didn’t take long for PAC to name “The Prince of Parkland” Jack Evans as the man he wanted to face, and Commissioner Winwood wasted no time in making the match official! In a rematch of the 2007 Battle of Los Angeles, and the final match in their 3 match series, America’s best high-flyer, Jack Evans, will take on England’s best high-flyer, PAC!

1.       TORNEO CIBERNETICO~!: Tecnico Squad (batting order:  Lince Dorado [captain], Chiva III, El Hijo del Ice Cream, Chiva IV, Ice Cream, Jr., Equinox, Magno, Incognito) vs. Rudo Squad (batting order:  Chuck Taylor, Larry Sweeney, Icarus, Gran Akuma, Shayne Hawke, Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Mitch Ryder [captain])
The Rules of the Cibernetico:  Each team will announce a “batting order.” Once the order is established, it will dictate the order in which the participants can tag. The first person in the order can only tag the second. The second person can only tag the third, and so on.  Eliminations can occur via pinfall, submission, disqualification or knockout. Cibernetico rules also allow for an elimination to occur if the next person in the batting order fails to tag or refuses a tag.  Only one person can win the Cibernetico. If all the members of one team are eliminated, the members of the surviving team must wrestle each other until just one remains.
