NEW RULE INSTITUTED FOR ALL ELITEPRO TITLE MATCHES
Based on the controversial fashion of the end of both the ElitePro Tag Team Title Match between The Iron Saints and Team W.A.R. and the ElitePro Championship Match between Chase Richards and Dysfunction, officials have decided to institute a new rule concerning title defenses in the promotion. They released the following statement to EliteProWrestling.com this afternoon:
“After reviewing the tapes of recent title matches and questioning all parties involved, it has become clear that something has to be done to ensure that the best wrestlers are crowned ‘champion’ here in Elite Pro Wrestling. Outside interference cannot and will not be tolerated, nor rewarded.
With this in mind, the ElitePro Office has decided to put into place a new rule that we think will eliminate, or at least lessen, the effect of outside parties and other ‘shenanigans’ that has been prevalent so far. Though we cannot, in the spirit of competition, go back and reverse what has already taken place, the ElitePro Office has decided that a champion must be defeated TWICE in order to lose the title.
To clarify, when an ElitePro Championship is being defended and the champion(s) is/are defeated by pinfall or submission only, the match immediately turns into a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match. Meaning, the champion(s) must win two straight falls in order to retain the championship(s).”Â

Elite Pro Wrestling returns to the Steger VFW on the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 7. Belltime will be 3pm.
Starting at 7pm that evening, the Chicago Bears will play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. ElitePro is inviting fans to stick around after the show and join them for the game in the bar area of the VFW on their big screen television!
