  3. New era of New England Championship Wrestling

It will be the most special night in the 9 year history of the promotion, when New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action this Saturday night at the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street in Quincy, MA with a 7 PM bell time.

NECW fans will be a part of history as New England Championship Wrestling presents the premiere television taping for NECW weekly television debut on Comcast SportsNet.  The shows will air Fridays at 4 PM starting January 8th.

Apart from long time fans and friends who have followed the promotion since its inception in 2000, there will be some very special guests in attendance.

Army National Guard Golf Co. 186 BSB is the company headquartered at the Armory in Quincy and they are about to be deployed to Afghanistan on January 3rd for a yearlong tour of duty.

New England Championship Wrestling has invited the Guardsmen and their families as guests of the company to share in this landmark event for NECW and to give them a rousing send off.

“NECW has become a local tradition in the Armory and the Guard has been a wonderful host for our events,” said NECW co-owner and promoter Sheldon Goldberg.  “They have been so supportive of NECW over the years, we are honored to be in their midst and we wanted to take this opportunity to deliver a public ‘thank you’ by entertaining them and their families before they are deployed.”

“This is the time of year to look back, take stock and be thankful for all your blessings,” added Goldberg.  Saturday night, NECW will begin a new era going on television and what better way to make this start by having these dedicated man and women as our guests.”
