Following the events in Europe this past weekend Matt Hardy was taken off the road by WWE officials yesterday when the Smackdown crew arrived back on U.S. soil. Those on creative have been told that Hardy won’t be available for television moving forward. What happens next remains unclear at this point but Hardy posted today on Twitter that he has some decisions to make regarding his future.

A new poll of the Connecticut Senate race between Linda McMahon and Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal shows the race tightening to a six point margin. The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute’s new survey out today shows that Linda trails Blumenthal by just 45% support to his 51%. “This is now a 6-point race among likely voters,” Quinnipiac Poll Director Douglas Schwartz told NBC Connecticut.

“With seven weeks to go and lots of money to be spent, anything can happen.” Schwartz added: “For Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, an elected official with a 70 percent approval rating, this race is surprisingly close.” Another poll done by Hamilton Campaigns, released today, shows Blumenthal leading the race 54% to 39% among likely voters.
His campaign released a statement today to voters which read, “Make no mistake — now that the McMahon campaign has seen these numbers, they will only get more aggressive in their relentless negative attacks. And we need your voice to break through all of the money she’ll spend attacking Dick Blumenthal. Can we count on you to help us fight back?
What these polls do tell us…is that the people of Connecticut want an election, not an auction. That we’re tired of McMahon’s negative politics as usual. And that we know Dick Blumenthal. We know he’s a fighter who stands up to special interests to protect the people of Connecticut. We know that you can’t buy a record of service like his.
But our opponent can’t be underestimated. McMahon is going to spend $50 million to try and buy this Senate seat. We can’t let that happen!”
