Action Jackson beat Canyon in a Fight-Win-Survive Heavy Metal Match

*****DETAILED RESULTS*****

The card was taped for the forthcoming TLC series “Rough House”.

The band Rivethead performed for the live crowd before and after the show, and they also performed the National Anthem and the PCW Full Throttle television theme live.

PCW personality Antonio came out and hyped the card, and then he introduced Ring Announcer Travis Baxter, who introduced the TV commentary team of Kody Kox and Rob Moore.

DARK MATCH–NON-FIGHT-WIN-SURVIVE MATCH
“The BEAST” FRANCO D’ANGELO (w/ Apocalypse) beat WALLY DARKMON when he pinned Darkmon in the ropes out of the referee’s view after crotching Darkmon on the top turnbuckle.

PCW Owners the Bussey Brothers came out to announce the start of Fight-Win-Survive, a 16-man single-elimination tournament between a Blue Team and a Red Team, which will end up with one man becoming the new PCW World Heavyweight Champion. The Busseys made their alliances clear by the fact that they were wearing red FWS T-shirts, except for Chris Bussey, who was in a white shirt yet allied himself with the red team as well.

FIGHT-WIN-SURVIVE–SINGAPORE CANE MATCH
BRETT IDOL (Red Team) beat “SUCCESS STORY IN THE MAKING” AARON EAGLE (Blue Team)
–The cane was on a pole in a corner of the ring, and it would become legal once one man or the other got it down. Both men went for the pole early, but neither man could get past his opponent. Both men went for pinfalls during the course of the match without the cane coming into play. Eventually, Eagle got the cane off the pole, but Idol got it away and gave Eagle some bone-chilling whacks, sending splinters flying everywhere, before making the cover for the 1-2-3 to advance in the tournament. The Busseys came out and carried Idol to the back on their shoulders.

“Texas Legend” Action Jackson came out and delivered a fired-up promo about his Heavy Metal Match later in the night against longtime rival Canyon. Jackson said he’s going to “kick some a**” in FWS and become the new champion.

FIGHT-WIN-SURVIVE–TWO PINS AND YOU WIN MATCH
“HUNK FOR HIRE” JIGGLE-O JAMES JOHNSON (Blue Team) beat “DYNAMIC” DIAMOND DAVE (Blue Team) and “The MIND OF WRESTLING” J.T. LaMOTTA (Red Team)
–To win the match, a wrestler had to be the first to score two pinfalls, not necessarily in succession or on the same opponent. There was lots of fast action in this match involving three outstanding cruiserweights. LaMotta made the first 1-2-3 with the Cram Before The Exam (fisherman DDT) on Johnson. Dave was the next to get a pin, hitting a Shooting Star Legdrop on Johnson. Johnson got a measure of revenge on Dave with a schoolboy rollup, ensuring that the next wrestler to get a pinfall would win the match. After LaMotta hit a reverse huracanrana on Dave, while LaMotta was down, Johnson hit the Frog Splash Elbow on J.T. to get his second pin and advance in FWS. Both Dave and LaMotta were eliminated from the tournament.

NON-FIGHT-WIN-SURVIVE MATCH
APOCALYPSE (w/ Franco D’Angelo) beat SHADOW
–After D’Angelo tried to interfere, Referee Travis Trueborne ejected him from ringside. Later, Thomas, Chris & Larry Bussey came to ringside and caused havoc with Shadow, including hitting Shadow with what appeared to be a large metal trowel. With the Busseys occupying the referee, D’Angelo returned to the ring and helped Apocalypse double-team Shadow. The PCW Koozie, which had been out amongst the fans, got inside the railing and removed his costume, revealing Steven Bussey in a referee’s shirt. Steven got in the ring and counted the 1-2-3- on Shadow. After the match, Shadow declared war on the Dark Circle and the Busseys.

PCW FULL THROTTLE MAIN EVENT–FIGHT-WIN-SURVIVE–HEAVY METAL MATCH
“TEXAS LEGEND” ACTION JACKSON beat “HARDCORE ICON” CANYON
–Anything made of metal was legal as a weapon, and there was a large wheelbarrow full of weapons parked at ringside. The two big men wasted no time in bloodying each other with barbed wire on both a 2×4 and an aluminum baseball bat. As the crimson flowed more freely, many more metal items were used, indlucing chairs, a shovel, mechanical parts and a road sign. When Canyon seemingly had Jackson down and out, the “Hardcore Icon” put the sign across two chairs and put Jackson in position for a Canyon Bomb (Vader Bomb). However, Jackson got up, worked his way under the turnbuckle-climbing Canyon, powerbombed him through the sign and chairs and made the cover to win the match and advance in Fight-Win-Survive as both men’s blood pooled on the canvas in several places.

PCW Full Throttle’s next card is scheduled for Saturday, October 13 at PCW Arena in Arlington, Texas. Fight-Win-Survive continues with Robert Evans vs. Mike Foxx, Mace Malone vs. Nobe Bryant, Brandon Collins vs. Franco D’Angelo and Wally Darkmon vs. Apocalypse.
