Garrison Carida is part of a larger worldwide organization called the 501st Stormtrooper Legion. This group consists of individuals who show their love for Star Wars by wearing detailed replica costumes of such favorite characters as Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Scout Troopers, SnowTroopers, Bounty Hunters, etc. The members of Garrison Carida routinely attend local science fiction conventions, parades, blood drives, toy stores, community fundraisers, and make appearances at several charity events including 8 visits annually to local hospitals, including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, A.I. Dupont Children’s Hospital, Shriner/Temple Children’s Hospital, WV Univ. Children’s Hospital, St Christopher’s Children’s Hospital, Danville Children’s Hospital, and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
