Pre-show

Robert Stone is the new sheriff in town. He is here to fix anything Santino Marella does wrong. Enter Santino on stage. He is a man of the people and will give the fans what they want. Stone teased that Tessa Blanchard will send Arianna Grace to the hospital. Santino warned that if they injure his daughter on purpose, then he won’t be Santino the Director of Authority. He will be Santino the father (to kick their asses).

Rosemary defeated Xia Brookside via disqualification. The story is Rosemary’s desire for Xia to embrace the dark side. If she won’t, then Rosemary will drag her to hell. After a second spear, Rosemary declined to make the cover. She went outside to retrieve a stapler. When the referee confiscated the weapon, Rosemary pulled out a belt. Xia blocked the attack to counter for a DDT. Xia had rage in her eyes. She grabbed the belt and put a whooping on Rosemary. She wrapped her fist with the buckle and hammered punches. Xia even lashed out at security trying to break it up. The fans were rowdy in support of Xia’s new attitude.

Under Siege

Mike Santana defeated KC Navarro. AJ Francis pulled out of the match claiming he has a severe case of turf toe. Navarro wasn’t expecting to be the replacement. Santana dominated early until Francis interfered. Navarro took control with flashy offense. Santana rebounded with power, but Navarro wouldn’t stay down on pinfalls. Santana eventually hit the Spin the Block discus lariat to win. This was a really good performance from Navarro. Santana showed respect afterward, then Francis hit Santana in the back with the crutch. Navarro wasn’t on board with that sneak attack, but he joined in stomping Santana anyway.

Eric Young offered support to Cody Deaner. EY has been in that spot before, and he’s still standing here in TNA. Young wished good luck to Deaner.

Eddie Edwards defeated Cody Deaner. This was Deaner’s last chance to save his job. The underdog fought valiantly by kicking out of heavy moves. Edwards even popped a loaded punch with his System ring, and Deaner still kicked out on the cover. Deaner had moments to rally for the hometown crowd to support him. In the end, Eddie shoved off a DDT attempt, and Alisha Edwards struck Deaner with a low blow. Boston Knee Party for Eddie to win.

After the match, the System made fun of Deaner losing his job and insulted the Canadian crowd. Young heard enough. EY represents Canada, and he won’t let those Americans talk bad about his country. Young was joined by the Northern Armory and the local honey badger mascot, Hammer, for an impromptu six-man match. The Canada versus USA vibe felt like a way to promote the Border Brawl event on Sunday, May 25.

Eric Young & the Northern Armory defeated Moose, Brian Myers, & Johnny Dango Curtis. Hot tag to Young cleaning house on Moose. The match broke down into moves all around. Alisha Edwards pulled out a kendo stick to swing wildly at the mascot. When she passed the weapon to Moose, local politicians Rod Power and Jaipaul Massey-Singh snatched it away. Young took advantage for a piledriver on Moose for the win.

Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Ash & Heather by Elegance (c) defeated Dani Luna & Jody Threat to retain the titles. Spitfire put up the stipulation for extra motivation that they will split as a team if they lose. Apparently, this is a Match by Elegance, which means no DQ and no count-outs. The fight was bonkers with tables, chairs, trashcans, sticks, rhinestones, and makeup accessories. In the end, Maggie Lee ran in to help Elegance. Ash was trying to powerbomb Luna off the apron through a table, but Luna grabbed the ropes to block. Maggie booted Luna into the move. Luna missed the table and banged her head on the way down. Ouch! Ash hit a flying splash on Luna to break the table. Heather smashed Threat with a trashcan, and Ash landed a swanton to win.

Xia Brookside snapped. She warned that whatever comes next is Rosemary’s fault.

Mustafa Ali, Tasha Steelz, John Skyler, & Jason Hotch defeated Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz, Indi Hartwell, & Raj Singh. Ace Austin was supposed to be on the babyface team, but Ali injured Ace’s knee the night before on Impact. That left the babyfaces scrambling to find a partner. They were game to fight against the odds, then a familiar face came to the ring. Singh was angry at Ali for ignoring him after all the help he provided in the past. This was also Singh’s hometown. He punched Ali in the kisser, and he was officially in the match as the mystery partner. Good action with creativity. The men formed a scrum in the center, then Steelz and Hartwell stepped on top to throw blows. Hartwell hit a cutter to collapse the pile. In the end, the bad guys took out the Rascalz and Hartwell on the outside. Ali pinned Singh off a 450 splash. Afterward, Ali choked Singh with rage. When Steelz tried to corral his anger, he shoved her down to the floor. The team was bothered by Ali’s unhinged attitude, but they still had his back when leaving.

Santino gave a pep talk to his daughter. Arianna is ready to kick Tessa’s ass. Sonna ma gun!

Tessa Blanchard defeated Arianna Grace. Stone banned Santino from ringside due to lack of a manager’s license. Tessa mauled Arianna. The underdog rallied for a superplex, but Tessa regained control. When going for the finish, she lost her footing on the turnbuckles. Tessa hit a hammerlock DDT instead, then she went back up top for Magnum (flying Codebreaker) to win. Afterward, Santino checked on Arianna. Stone ordered Santino to leave with his loser daughter. Security restrained Santino to the back.

Knockouts Championship: Masha Slamovich (c) defeated Victoria Crawford to retain the title. Stone caused a distraction for Crawford (aka Alicia Fox) to hit a northern lights suplex on the floor. Later, Stone hooked Slamovich’s foot for Crawford to hit a package piledriver. When Slamovich accidentally clobbered the referee, Stone passed the title belt to Crawford as a weapon to hit the champion. When Crawford went for a second package piledriver, Slamovich countered for the Snow Plow. The ref was still down. Slamovich ducked an axe kick to fire off a spinning backfist, a head kick, and a piledriver to win.

After the match, Slamovich was eager for real competition. She wants bloodthirsty warriors. The champ called out Lei Ying Lee to be her next title defense. Lee came down to the ring to accept, however, Stone butt in. Wrestlers aren’t allowed to make matches on his watch. He will force Lee to earn it on Impact. Commentary pointed out that this is hypocritical of Stone, because Crawford never earned her shot.

TNA World Tag Team Championship: Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth (c) defeated Matt Hardy & Leon Slater to retain the titles. Jeff Hardy isn’t allowed to travel to Canada for the match, so Matt picked Slater as his partner. The Nemeths isolated Slater. Hot tag to Hardy deleting his rivals. Slater joined him for signature teamwork Hardyz moves. Slater hit Poetry in Motion jumping over the ring post to the outside. Victory was within grasp for the challengers. Matt hit the Twist of Fate on Nic, then Slater followed for a swanton 450. 1, 2, Ryan pulled Matt off the pin. Ryan slammed Slater into the steel steps, then he anchored on Matt’s leg for Nic to hit a superkick. Danger Zone by Nic to pin Matt.

Arianna was embarrassed by her loss. Santino was steaming about Stone putting hands on him. Santino had an idea to arrange a match against Stone. Arianna suggested a tag team contest, so she could get another crack at Tessa. Santino was so proud. The Cobra is coming for Stone.

The show is running long past three hours.

Joe Hendry & Elijah defeated Trick Williams & Frankie Kazarian. The purpose of the main event is to hype Hendry versus Trick for the TNA World Championship at NXT Battleground. Kaz played spoilsport by not letting Hendry and Trick fight. They eventually got in on in the center of the ring. Hendy hit a fallaway slam on Trick, then he hit a fallaway slam on Kaz. Hendry pumped up the crowd for an Olympic slam on Trick. The match continued with Trick hitting the Trick Shot knee on Elijah. Hendry broke up the pin. Kaz grabbed Elijah’s guitar intent on payback. Swing and a miss. Tombstone piledriver by Elijah. Trick saved his partner on the pin. The finish came with friendly fire when Elijah dodged and Trick blasted Kaz with the Trick Shot. Hendry clotheslined Trick out of the ring. Standing Ovation slam on Kaz for the win. Hendry and Trick had a staredown to close the show.
