TNA Genesis

IN THE FOUR SIDED RING
Eric Bischoff & Hulk Hogan: Eric Bischoff & Hulk Hogan came out and talked about the new four sided ring (they got rid of the six sided ring). The crowd booed and chanted “We Want Six Sides!” Hogan tried to justify the change by saying the four sided ring is where pro-wrestlingw as supposed to take place. Hogan said that Vince McMahon (WWE) likes sports entertainment and is afraid of the word “wrestling.” Bischoff proclaimed that they were all about change, and the crowd booed him wildly, so he promised more change was on the way! Hogan managed to get a pop when he concluded by saying “watcha gonna do Vince McMahon, when TNA comes for you!” Taz got on board and said he didn’t miss sports entertainment.

TNA X-DIVISION TITLE MATCH
Amazing Red defeated Brian Kendrick to retain the TNA X-Division title: Brian Kendrick was a mystery opponent for TNA X-Division champion Amazing Red, who did not have Don West in his corner.. Red pinned Kendrick after a Springboard Code-red..

Eric Bischoff & Hulk Hogan + The Band (Kevin Nash & Scott Hall & Sean Waltman): The Band was tuning up for their match with Beer Money Inc. later, but Sean Waltman wanted to be in the match. Waltman beat Scott Hall in a game of “rock paper scissors” to earn the right to team with Kevin Nash..

BACKSTAGE NOTES: Bobby Lashley is refusing to wrestle Abyss tonight..

GRUDGE MATCH
Sean Morely defeated Christopher Daniels with the Money Shot: Christopher Daniels was the heel, but the crowd loved him! Meanwhile, Sean Morely was treated like crap by the fans, who chanted “washed up porn star!” The fans also harassed Brooke Hogan in the front row. A group of fans in the first few rows turned their back to the ring after the finish. Not good. Last month Daniels was challenging for the World title..

TAG TEAM MATCH
Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm) defeated The Band (Kevin Nash & Sean Waltman w/Scott Hall): Scott Hall attacked a planted fan at ringside to stir up some fake controversy..

SINGLES MATCH
Mr. Ken Anderson defeated “The Monster” Abyss: Mr. Anderson did his pre-match microphone gimmick and got over big time with the fans. Once the match started, it all went downhill, and the fans turned on him chanting “over-rated!” Anderson finished off Abyss with a brass knux shot to the head!

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
A.J. Styles defeated Kurt Angle to retain the TNA World Heavyweight title: The stipulation was that if Kurt Angle lost, he would not get another title shot in 2010 as long as A.J. Styles held the belt. Ric Flair came out to ringside to watch the match up close. Angle chased Flair around until Styles clotheslined Angle down. Flair threw the belt in the ring and Styles smashed Angle in the face with it before pinning him while pulling the tights for leverage.
