March 2, 2009 – Boston, Massachusetts
Announcers: Michael Cole & Jerry “The King” Lawler

DARK MATCH: Kofi Kingston defeated William Regal w/Layla El..

IN THE RING: Jerry “The King” Lawler (on behalf of interim General Manager Vickie Guerrero) announced that there would be a World Heavyweight championship match TONIGHT! Lawler said John Cena would get his rematch against Edge for the World Heavyweight title!

ON STAGE (PIPER’S PIT)
Chris Jericho + WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka: They had a vintage Piper’s Pit set constructed on the stage and Roddy Piper’s music played, but it was Chris Jericho who came out to taunt the fans. Jericho said Piper’s Pit was a ground-breaking talk show and replayed the famous Piper-Snuka incident. Jericho introduced his guest, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka! Snuka sat down next to Jericho, who showed footage from the Piper-Snuke feud in 1984. Jericho said that Snuka embodies everything that the movie “The Wrestler” represents, saying that he was in his mid-60s yet he still embarrasses himself by working independent wrestling shows in New Jersey. Jericho said it was selfish of Piper and Snuka to enter the Royal Rumble last year. Jericho said that Snuka had to be in the spotlight one last time. Jericho said Flair, Piper, Steamboat, and Snuka were all sick in the head. Jericho said he brought Snuka out as a reminder to the Superstars what can happen to them if they’re not careful. Jericho said if they weren’t careful they would end up like Snuka – a pathetic disgrace. Jericho and Snuka stood up and went nose-to-nose. Jericho said Snuka was finished and nobody wants to see him any more. Jericho asked if he understood, and Snuka said he doesn’t understand. Jericho said he brought some stuff to remind Snuka of his glory days. Jericho pulled out a pineapple, some bananas, and finally a cocanut. Snuka took the cocanut away from Jericho and threatened to crack it over Jericho’s head. Jericho backed off and ran away. Snuka dropped to one knee and posed for the fans, but Jericho pushed the set down on top of Snuka and bashed him with a piece of wood! Jericho took off his leather belt and started to whip Snuka’s backside with it! Jericho mashed a banana into Snuka’s face.

MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH
Kane defeated Mike Knox (pinned) and Rey Mysterio: Kane joined C.M. Punk as two of the eight men to enter the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 25. After the match, Kane choke-slammed Rey Mysterio just so he could leave a ring full of carnage….

HIGHLIGHT REEL: WrestleMania 12 and the 60-minute Iron Man Match!

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Todd Grisham & Shawn Michaels: Shawn Michaels said Vladimir Kozlov nearly choke-slammed him though the mat last week. Michaels talked about headlining WrestleMania 14 and having to retire from a broken back. Michaels said he was the show-stopper and tonight he ends Kozlov’s undefeated streak, and then go to WrestleMania and end the Undertaker’s streak. Very old school style promo from Shawn Michaels.

DIVAS TAG TEAM MATCH
Mickie James & Kelly Kelly defeated Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix (w/Santino Marella & Rosa Mendez): WWE Women’s champion Melina Perez and WWE Diva’s champion Maryse Ouellet joined Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler on commentary for this match. Neither of them really knew what the other was doing there and they bickered throughout the match…….. Kely Kelly pinned Jillian Hall.. After the match, Rosa Mendez attacked Kelly, bringing Mickie James into the ring to save her! Beth went after Mickie, which prompted Melina to get out of her seat. Maryse pulled Melina off the ring apron and planted her head-first into the floor with a vicious DDT! Maryse got up and pranced around the ringside area, obviously very proud of herself. Where are they going with this, I wonder?

IN THE RING
Legacy (Randy Orton & Ted DiBiase Jr. & Cody Rhodes & others) + WWE Champion Triple H: Randy Orton came out flanked by Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, a team of security guards, his lawyer, and of course his therapist – not wanting a repeat of last week’s attempted murder by Triple H. Orton was there to announce his decision on which championship he was going after at WrestleMania 25. Orton said he was challenging the winner of John Cena vs. Edge tonight to a World Heavyweight title match at WrestleMania 25. Orton said most people thought he would challenge Triple H for the WWE championship, but that wasn’t going to happen. Orton explained that WWE champion Triple H wouldn’t make it to WrestleMania because he was going to JAIL. Orton said HHH took a concealed sledgehammer and tried to end his career, not to mention his life! Orton told HHH that it was time to face the music, and called him out to the ring. HHH came out with a sledgehammer over his shoulder and addressed Orton from the stage. HHH said Orton’s lawyers claim that Orton has IED and has no control over his actions. HHH said he is in complete control of his own, and proceeded to walk to the ring, but was stopped by a line-up of security guards. HHH dropped the sledgehammer, and Orton called off the guards so that HHH could enter the ring. HHH said his people tell Orton what he wants to hear, but he (HHH) is going to tell him what he needs to hear. HHH said Orton took out the entire McMahon family, and now he needs to go to WrestleMania and beat him for the WWE championship. HHH said Orton needs it so he can avenge the moment that defines his life. HHH reminded Orton about Evolution. HHH remembered when Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight champion and HHH turned on him 24 hours later. HHH said he’s never been a good person, and wasn’t happy for Orton’s success, so he decided to take what was his. HHH said now Orton has the opportunity to avenge that night on the biggest stage of them and beat him (HHH) for the WWE championship and put it all behind him. HHH said Orton made the choice to run, because he is afraid, because he knows deep down inside that he doesn’t have what it takes. HHH said Orton can hide behind lawyers and talk tough but the truth is Orton is the same little boy that was carrying his bags in Evolution. HHH said Orton had all the talent in the world but is ultimately gutless. The lawyer stepped in and said unless HHH surrenders then security will remove him from the ring. The guards started to push HHH out of the ring, but Orton called them off and ordered them to let him go. Orton said he thinks he’s changed his mind, and is going to face Triple H at WrestleMania – under one condition – they settle it at WrestleMania. Orton said they can’t touch each other until WrestleMania or HHH will spend the big night behind bars. HHH agreed and left the ring. Orton got brave and said it felt great when he kicked the old man in the skull. Orton said it felt even better when he did the same thing to Shane. Orton added insult by saying how much he enjoyed giving HHH’s wife Stephanie and RKO. HHH got back in the ring and went nose-to-nose with Orton. HHH said the last time they wrestled, he broke Orton’s collarbone. HHH said that was just business, but THIS is personal. HHH yelled “I’m gonna break your neck!”

WINNER FACES UNDERTAKER AT WRESTLEMANIA 25
“The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels defeated “the undefeated” Vladimir Kozlov: Shawn Michaels proved that he is capable of defeating the undefeatable! After the match, the lights went out and the Undertaker appeared in a cloud of smoke on the RAW stage. The Undertaker looked down at Shawn Michaels standing in the ring and gave him the dreaded cut-throat sign to solidify their status at WrestleMania 25!

HALL OF FAME ANNOUNCEMENT: They announced that “Cowboy” Bill Watts will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame! He will be inducted by Good Ol’ JR (Jim Ross) the night before WrestleMania 25!

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Todd Grisham & World Heavyweight champion Edge: Edge said ever since No Way Out, John Cena has been begging for a rematch. Edge said he wanted to face Cena in his hometown so his friends and family can watch him get squashed.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
John Cena defeated World Heavyweight champion Edge by DQ: This is supposed to count as John Cena’s contractually guaranteed rematch after losing the title to Edge at No Way Out. There was some concern over Cena’s condition after he was destroyed by the Big Show during the main event of SmackDown!. I thought this was going to be some kind of short screwjob match but they really went at it pretty intense. Late in the match, Edge brought the title belt into the ring. Cena lifted him with the FU and Edge dropped the belt. The referee picked the belt up, but Edge grabbed it back and smashed it in Cena’s face causing the disqualification. So I guess we got the screwjob anyway. Cena wins by DQ, but Edge retains the World Heavyweight title.

ON STAGE
Edge & The Big Show + Vickie Guerrero: Edge crawled up the ramp to the stage where the Big Stood over him curiously. Edge asked Big Show to help him up but the Big Show didn’t budge. Vickie Guerrero came out and named the Big Show the #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight title – much to the surprise of champion Edge!
