The following are the results of the NXT UK television shows that aired Thursday, December 26 on WWE Network.
Episode One
Sid Scala and Johnny Saint made the announcement of NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool. Toni Storm came out and said she wants to use her championship opportunity for winning the Mae Young Classic to challenge Rhea Ripley for the NXT UK Women’s Championship at the Takeover show.
1. Jordan Devlin defeated Kenny Williams with the Irish Call.
Sid Scala and Johnny Saint announced that on the next show Rhea Ripley would be defending her title against Deonna Purrazzo.
2. Eddie Dennis defeated Dan Maloney via DQ after Dave Mastiff attacked Dennis.
Sid Scala announced that the first semifinal for the NXT UK Tag Titles would be between Mark Coffey and Wolfgang taking on Moustache Mountain.
A Zach Gibson’s guide to Liverpool was shown. Zach showed James Drake around the city. He said that Liverpool needs him more than he needs Liverpool.
3. Tyson T-Bone and Saxon Huxley defeated Jack Starz and Tucker.
A video package aired saying that the next NXT UK tapings would be on January 13, 2019, the night after NXT UK Takeover, at the same venue as Takeover in Blackpool.
4. Joe Coffey defeated Ligero with a spinning lariat.
Episode Two
1. James Drake and Zach Gibson defeated “Wild Boar” Mark Hitchman and “Primate” Jay Melrose with a Ticket To Misery. Zach Gibson cut a very good promo afterwards talking down to the people of Liverpool
Dave Mastiff was supposed to face Josh Morrell but Eddie Dennis attacked Josh from behind and powerslammed him on top of the stage.
A Joseph Conners promo aired.
2. Marcel Barthel defeated Mark Andrews after interference from Fabian Aichner.
3. Rhea Ripley defeated Deonna Purrazzo with Riptide.
