We start off with a look back at the Number One Contender Match between Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze from Takeover 1 when Breeze earned a title match against Adrian Neville. Tyler has taken his time to select when he takes his shot at the title. That time is tonight.
We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Renee ‘When do they open a poutine food truck outside the arena’ Young, Tom ‘Jack of All Trades’ Phillips, and Byron ‘the Good Heelish Announcer’ Saxton.
Match Number One: Bull Dempsey and Mojo Rawley versus Simon Gotch and Aiden English in a First Round Match in the NXT Number One Contender Tag Title Tournament
Bull and Aiden start things off and Bull with a shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall. Mojo tags in and they hit a double back elbow and Mojo gets a near fall. Mojo with a front face lock and Aiden backs Mojo into the corner. Aiden works on the arm followed by a snap mare for a near fall. Aiden sends Mojo shoulder first into the turnbuckles. Aiden with a hammer lock as he takes Mojo to the mat.
Aiden with a knee to the arm and then he drops back to tag Gotch. Gotch with Hindu squats while working on the arm. Gotch with a forearm to the chest and he gets a near fall. Mojo sends Gotch into the corner and Bull tags in. Bull with a forearm and a boot across the face. Bull with a forearm followed by elbow drops.
Bull with an elbow to the chest. Bull continues to run his boot laces across the face. Mojo tags himself in and Bull is not happy. Aiden pulls Gotch out of the corner and Mojo hits the turnbuckles. Gotch with a Finlay slam followed by a swanton from Aiden for the three count.
Winners: Simon Gotch and Aiden English (Advance to face Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady)
After the match, Bull picks up Mojo and he connects with a short arm clothesline. Bull punches Mojo and then rakes the face.
Bull leaves the ring and then he decides to come back and Bull with a Bulldozer to Mojo.
Bayley is in the locker room getting ready and Sasha enters wondering who Bayley thinks she is. Bayley tells Sasha who she is. Sasha asks if Bayley thinks she will be champion before her. Sasha tells Bayley to play with her inflatable friends.
Bayley says that it isn’t her fault that Charlotte and Summer left her. Bayley says that she will not hug Sasha no matter how much she wants.
Sasha tells Bayley that she won’t lay a hand on her.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Two: Bayley (with her inflatable friends) versus Sasha Banks in a Number One Contender Match
Sasha has something to say to Bayley but Bayley has something to say as well before they lock up. Sasha with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Bayley tries for an O’Connor Roll but Sasha holds on to the ropes. Bayley with a hip toss. Bayley tries for a backslide but Sasha rolls through and she punches Bayley and gets a near fall. Bayley with a double leg take down and she punches Sasha.
Bayley with a crucifix cover for a near fall. Bayley with another near fall. Bayley rolls Sasha up and gets a near fall. Sasha with a jackknife cover for a near fall. Bayley with a front face lock and Sasha tries to escape but Bayley holds on.
Sasha with a drop kick for a near fall. Bayley with a drop kick and a cross body. Bayley with a leaping knee drop and she tries for the belly-to-belly suplex but Sasha backs into the corner. Sasha tries to get out of the ring but Bayley keeps her from getting to the floor. Sasha finally gets to the floor to stop Bayley’s momentum.
Bayley tries to pull Sasha back into the ring but Sasha drops Bayley on the top rope and Sasha gets a near fall. Sasha works over Bayley in the corner and we go to commercial.
We are back and Sasha gets a near fall. We see footage from the commercial break when Sasha connects with a knee to the midsection while Bayley was in the turnbuckles. Sasha gets a near fall. Sasha with a bow and arrow and then she continues to work on the back with knees. Bayley with punches while Sasha kicks Bayley in the legs.
Sasha with a suplex and she floats over to get a near fall. Sasha with a straitjacket choke clutch. Sasha returns to the choke and she leans back. Bayley with a snap mare followed by two running sledges followed by a shoulder in the corner and a running elbow in the corner. Bayley misses the double jump elbow in the corner and Sasha with a splash in the corner. Bayley with a clothesline and both women are down. Sasha slaps Bayley when Bayley goes for the belly-to-belly suplex. Sasha with kicks in the corner.
Bayley with a forearm and Sasha with a knee to the head and Bayley goes to the floor. Sasha goes to the floor to roll Bayley back in. Sasha comes back in and Bayley with an inside cradle for a near fall. Bayley with a slap to Sasha. Sasha with lungblower and she goes for the crossface, but Bayley leans back and gets the three count.
Winner: Bayley
After the match, Charlotte comes out and offers her hand to Bayley and Charlotte raises it. They shake hands, but Bayley isn’t sure whether to trust her or not.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Three: Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake versus Sin Cara and Kalisto in a First Round Match in the NXT Number One Contender Tag Title Tournament
Cara and Blake start off and Blake with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Cara catapults Blake into the ropes and Murphy tags in. Kalisto tags in as well. Murphy with a kick and side head lock but Kalisto with a shoulder tackle. Kalisto with a kick to Murphy and he tags in Cara and they connects with a series of kicks and Kalisto with a senton to give Cara a near fall. Kalisto tags in and Murphy with a punch to Kalisto.
Murphy runs into a boot and Kalisto tries to make the tag but Murphy keeps him from getting to his corner. Cara tags in and Cara with a double cross body and a springboard head butt. Blake is hit with a rana and then Cara gets a near fall. Cara with a rollup and then he picks up Murphy and Kalisto with a drop kick. Cara takes care of Blake and Kalisto gets the three count with the Asai DDT.
Winners: Kalisto and Sin Cara (Advance to face Adam Rose and Sami Zayn)
Marcus Louis and Sylvester Lefort are in the interview area and Marcus says that this tournament is a fraud since they are not in it. Sylvester is not happy that Enzo and Colin have advanced. They will Francize the tournament.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Four: Tyler Breeze versus Adrian Neville for the NXT Title
They lock up and Breeze grabs the hair and backs Neville into the corner. Breeze with a knee and wrist lock. Neville escapes and takes Breeze to the mat. Breeze gets to the ropes and Neville releases. Neville with kicks to Breeze and then he sends Breeze into the turnbuckles. Breeze with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow. Neville leaps over Breeze and then Neville with a forearm and chop. Neville with a rollup for a near fall. Neville leaps over Breeze and Breeze goes to the floor. Neville goes to the apron, but Breeze with a leg sweep and Neville hits the apron and then drops to the floor.
Tyson Kidd comes out to watch the match and he is at the announce table to watch.
Breeze sends Neville back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Breeze with a knee drop and we go to commercial.
We are back and Breeze chokes Neville in the corner. Breeze chokes Neville in the ropes. Breeze with a knee drop and then he stands on Neville’s head. Breeze gets a near fall. Breeze with a forearm to the back and kick for a near fall. Breeze with a front face lock and he sends Neville to the floor. Breeze follows to the floor and he Irish whips Neville into the ring steps.
Breeze gets a near fall when they return to the ring. Breeze with a front face lock. Neville tries to get out of the hold and eventually he sends Breeze into the air and Breeze lands hard on the mat. Neville with an uppercut in the corner followed by an Irish whip and running European uppercut in the corner. Neville with a drop kick to the temple followed by a standing moonsault for a near fall. Neville is sent to the apron and Neville drops Breeze on the top rope.
Neville goes for a springboard move but Breeze with a drop kick to counter and he gets a near fall. Neville with a forearm but Breeze with a kick and punch followed by elbows to the head. Breeze runs Neville into the turnbuckles with a bulldog but Neville recovers and hits a super kick but can only get a near fall.
Neville rolls Breeze into position and Neville goes up top but Breeze recovers and he connects with a forearm. Breeze with a punch and he goes up top for a superplex. Neville holds the ropes and he punches Breeze in the midsection. Neville with a forearm and Neville with a shoulder. Neville goes for a sunset flip power bomb and he hits it but Breeze kicks out at two.
Neville goes up top for the Red Arrow but Breeze rolls across the ring. Neville runs into boots from Breeze and Breeze with a tornado DDT and Breeze gets a near fall. Breeze cannot believe that he could not finish off Neville. Breeze with a punch and Neville goes down. Breeze tries for an elbow in the corner but Neville with a waist lock. Breeze with an elbow and reversal. Breeze with forearms to the back and he hits a German suplex but Neville lands on his feet.
Neville gets Breeze as he comes off the ropes and Neville hits a German suplex and bridge for a near fall. Breeze with a punch and Neville punches back. Neville sends Breeze to the floor with a punch. Neville with a suicide dive onto Breeze and Tyson Kidd gets up from his position at the announce table.
Neville with a super kick to Kidd, who was on the other side of the guardrails. Breeze rolls Neville into the ring and Neville with a kick to the head. Neville goes up top for Red Arrow but Kidd crotches Neville and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Tyler Breeze (by disqualification)
After the match, Kidd attacks Neville and Breeze pushes Kidd away and yells at him for interfering in the match. Kidd and Breeze brawl in the ring. Kidd with a forearm and Breeze with a double leg take down and he punches Kidd. Neville goes after Breeze and then Kidd. Breeze goes after Neville’s knees. Kidd punches Neville and Breeze kicks him.
Sami Zayn comes out and he goes after Breeze and throws him over the top rope to the floor. Zayn with a back drop to send Kidd over the top rope to the floor.
Zayn checks on Neville as we go to credits.
