“Then… Now… Forever…”

A recap video package reminds us of all of the action from last week’s episode of NXT.

Vic Joseph welcomes us to the Capitol Wrestling Center and is followed by the entrance of Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish, flanked by fellow Undisputed Era member Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly is on the mic, proclaiming the second Golden Age of the Undisputed Era. Before that happens, they must face the team of Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch for the number one contendership to the NXT Tag Team Titles. Lorcan and Burch made their entrance and the bell sounds.

Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong v.

Oney Lorcan & Roderick Strong start off with exchanges before Lorcan brings Strong into their corner and a double-team attack with a tagged-in Burch. Burch works on Strong’s arm but is backed into the UE corner, a tagged-in Bobby Fish and a double-team attack of their own. Fish tries to work on Burch but is fended off and now his arm is being worked on in the opposing corner. Lorcan is tagged for a double Russian Leg Sweep. Strong rushes in but is double suplexed onto Fish. Lorcan for the cover… kickout at 2.

Lorcan continues to work on Fish’s arm, wearing him down in the center of the ring. Fish fights out but Lorcan answers those forearms with uppercuts of his own. Lorcan with the snapmare and continues to work on his left arm. Lorcan sends Fish to the ropes but Strong tags himself in. Fish is met with chops from Lorcan… Strong is as well… one after another. Lorcan off the ropes, double back-body drop from UE. Strong for the cover… kickout at 2.

Breezango is seated on folding chairs from the top of the entrance ramp as the match continues.

*Commercial Break*

Back from break and Lorcan has been worked into the UE corner. Strong tagged in but Lorcan is battling out. He tries to make for a Burch tag but Strong rolls him up for a Boston Crab. Lorcan pushes him away and rolls away from a diving headbutt from Fish! He gets the hot tag from Burch!

Burch unloads on Fish and Strong, hit after hard hit. Fish distracts Burch’s attacks on Strong long enough for Strong to compose and connect with a backhand. Fish tagged in, Burch tries to fight away but Fish connects with a Samoan Drop. Cover… kickout at 2.

Strong tagged in and has Burch up in a Fireman’s carry. Fish goes off the ropes but Burch slips out and punches Strong away. Fish rushes into the corner, Burch connects with a boot. He climbs the ropes, double dropkick on UE. He gets the tag from Lorcan and Lorcan decleats Strong with a flying uppercut. Fish in the ring, misses wildly with a clothesline. Lorcan from the corner, double blockbuster on UE. Burch tagged in, they’re looking for The Magic Killer?… Strong is back and gets Fish away. UE misses their attacks and put into dueling submissions from Lorcan and Burch! Fish fights out of Lorcan’s clutches, Strong rolls Burch over onto his shoulders from a crossface! Kickout at 2!

Lorcan spears Fish through the ropes. Burch off the ropes, clotheslines Strong into oblivion! Lorcan tagged in, Strong is hung up for a Magic… no! Hangman’s DDT! Cover… Fish pulls Lorcan out under the ropes.

Burch comes over but is tripped up by Fish as well. Burch is on the apron, Strong pushes Lorcan into Burch sending Burch to the floor. Lorcan off the ropes, leaping knee from Strong. The cover… 1… 2… 3!

WINNERS: Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong

Undisputed Era celebrates in the ring, pointing and staring down NXT Tag Team Champions Breezango.

We’re given an update on NXT Champion Finn Balor’s broken jaw and the surgery he underwent last Friday. He will be given a few weeks to recuperate before a new contender is named to vie for his title.

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

A promotional video hyping the return of Ember Moon from Achilles tendon surgery airs.

Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis has made his way to the ring. His opponent, Jake Atlas, follows suit.

The two trade blows and end up in a stalemate. Adonis fixes his hair in front of Atlas’ face and eats a dropkick for his folly. Atlas rushes into the corner but misses wildly. Adonis climbs to the top for a missile dropkick of his own. Cover… kickout at 2.

The two battle in the center of the ring until Juaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza make their way to the ring. Adonis is distracted and Atlas rolls him up! 1… 2… 3!

WINNER: Jake Atlas

Wilde & Mendoza drag Adonis under the ropes and begin attacking. Atlas off the ropes with a suicide dive taking them out. Atlas and Adonis are in the ring, Mendoza & Wilde on the ramp… until Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar shows up to gain the man advantage. In the ring, chairs are being slid under the ropes… and Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott has come to even the odds. No one makes a move as El Legado del Fantasma backpedal up the ramp.

Candace LeRae and Johnny Gargano are backstage airing their grievances about Dexter Lumis having an opportunity at the NXT North American Title. As far as Austin Theory goes, he has a lot to learn and Gargano is going to teach him the lesson of a lifetime.

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

In the ring, Austin Theory awaits Johnny Gargano’s arrival. Gargano doesn’t make him wait too long.

The two exchange the typical holds and counters before Gargano sends Theory into the corner. Theory leaps up yelling ‘I don’t think so!’ waiting for Gargano to rush in. Gargano stands waiting for Theory to turn around and chops him out of his boots. Gargano tries to get him into the Gargano Escape, but Theory makes for the ropes and a break.

Theory back to his feet, back elbow to Gargano. Gargano tries again for a chop but Theory blocks it. Short arm clothesline followed by a standing moonsault! Theory for the cover… kickout at 2.

Theory tries to wear Gargano down in the corner but Gargano turns the tables. Gargano rushes into the corner, Theory with a drop toe hold into the middle turnbuckle. Theory’s on the apron, rolls through the ropes and connects with a shotgun dropkick.

Theory and Gargano trading blows in the center of the ring. Theory has Gargano in a Fireman’s, Gargano slips away onto the apron. Kick to the face, Gargano through the ropes with a spear to Theory.

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

Back from the break, Gargano has Theory in an abdominal stretch in the center of the ring. Theory strongarms out of it but is met with a back elbow. Theory prone on the middle rope, Gargano rushes in with a hip attack. Theory groggy in the middle of the ring, Gargano off the ropes, Theory makes it to his feet… tilt-a-whirled onto Theory’s shoulders and dropped on his face.

Theory charges into the corner of Gargano with a clothesline. Floats over the top rope and shoves Gargano down from the apron… leaps over the top rope, stomping on Gargano’s chest…. quickly brings Gargano up for a Snap Suplex. Theory now trying for a Fisherman’s Suplex but Gargano slips away and throws him through the ropes. Theory rolls through the ropes, Gargano with a superkick but Theory catches it. Standing switches, Theory holds onto the ropes from a Gargano roll through… makes him eat a kick to the face. Theory with a nasty Shoulderbreaker. Cover… kickout at 2!

Theory kicks Gargano in the face and brings him up for the ATL. Gargano slips out and boots Theory as he rushes into the corner. Gargano climbs to the middle turnbuckle, diving crossbody but Theory rolls through and is carrying Gargano. Hoists him up for the ATL but Gargano slips free again for a sunset flip attempt but Theory jackknife pins him! Kickout at 2!

Theory chops Gargano into the corner, showboating to the camera. Gargano finds an opening and forearms Theory again and again. Theory tries for a Superkick, Gargano catches it and gives one of his own. Gargano has Theory over his shoulder and lawn darts him into the middle turnbuckle. Off the ropes… Gargano with a nasty forearm shot to the back of Theory’s head. Theory slowly to his feet, Gargano’s on the apron… over the top rope… One Final Beat! 1… 2… 3.

WINNER: Johnny Gargano

Raquel Gonzalez challenges Rhea Ripley to a match in 2 weeks at NXT Halloween Havoc and is answered by a shouting Ripley from across the CWC and broken up by NXT Officials as they nearly come to blows.

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

Tommaso Ciampa watches a replay of his match against Kushida, that was broken up by Velveteen Dream. “He’s dead,” he says as we walks away.

Shotzi Blackheart is on her tank, driving to the ring for her #1 Contender’s Match for the NXT Women’s Title. Candace LeRae makes her way as well, looking to get another shot at Io Shirai. The bell rings… here we go!

It ain’t an NXT Match without typical wrestling hold trade-offs and counters and that’s what we start with… Blackheart charges to the corner and slides under a clothesline miss from LeRae. Step-up enziguri response from Blackheart as LeRae prone on the middle rope. Blackheart charges with a Bronco Buster, LeRae slips away and Blackheart is sitting on the ropes. LeRae with a neckbreaker try, Shotzi still holding onto the ropes causing LeRae to slam onto the mat. LeRae gets up, misses a shoulder tackle and Shotzi kicks her in the face. LeRae reels but still connects with a shoulder, pushing Shotzi onto the floor standing. LeRae off the ropes… misses the baseball slide because Shotzi is back in the ring. Shotzi off the ropes, suicide dive connects! Shotzi rolls LeRae into the ring for the cover, kickout at 2.

Shotzi charges into the corner, LeRae rolls away and shoves Shotzi into the middle turnbuckle. LeRae kicking Shotzi into the corner, charges into her with a hip attack. LeRae rolls over Shotzi snapping her neck down ala Mr. Perfect. Cover… kickout at 2.

LeRae is wearing down Shotzi in the middle of the ring wrings her neck before bringing her up for a Vertical Suplex. Cover… kickout at 2.

LeRae drags Shotzi’s face across the middle rope and then works on her in the corner. LeRae slings her hair-first out of the corner to the opposite and continues to put the boots to Shotzi. LeRae drags her to the center for a cover… kickout at 2.

LeRae trying for another suplex but Shotzi counters it with a suplex of her own. LeRae retreats to the corner, a charging Shotzi eats a foot. LeRae is climbing the turnbuckles… and Shotzi has now gone to the parallel corner and… climbs over it onto the apron. Both ladies on the apron, Shotzi with a knee to LeRae’s face. Shotzi has LeRae’s neck over her shoulder, LeRae pushes her into the ringpost. LeRae staggers back, rushes in, grabs Shotzi by the back of the neck and slams her down onto the apron.

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

Back from the break and LeRae charges into Shotzi in the corner but takes a boot instead. Charges again but Shotzi leaps over her and dropkicks her into the corner. Shotzi charges in with a splash, follows with an Inverted Sling Blade, sending LeRae face-first to the mat. Knee to the jaw, roaring forearm, kick to the face, LeRae is prone on the middle rope now…. Shotzi with the somersault senton onto LeRae. Cover… kickout at 2.

Shotzi climbs to the top rope, LeRae gets the knees up as Shotzi tried for another senton! Cover… kickout at 2!

LeRae climbs to the top turnbuckle but Shotzi meets her there. LeRae slips down to the mat and drags Shotzi’s face into the turnbuckle. LeRae German Suplexes Shotzi from the second turnbuckle… follows it with a kick to the face! Cover…. kickout at 2!

LeRae trying for a Sharpshooter but Shotzi kicks her away. LeRae misses with a clothesline and Shotzi connects with a Tiger Suplex! Kickout at 2!

Shotzi has LeRae up in a Fireman’s, LeRae slips out for a Backstabber. Springboard moonsault by LeRae! Cover… kickout at 2!

School Boy roll up from Shotzi out of nowhere as LeRae staggered towards her…. kickout at 2!

LeRae sends Shotzi through the ropes, Shotzi with a kick to LeRae from the apron. Shotzi climbs to the top but LeRae meets her there. Shotzi gets the upper hand, knocking LeRae off. Shotzi leaps off and literally sits on LeRae! LeRae is down in the center of the ring… Shotzi climbs to the top looking for the senton again but LeRae rolls under the ropes and out of the ring. Shotzi tries to go after her but the referee keeps her from doing so. Behind the barricade, Indi Hartwell hands LeRae a pair of Brass Knuckles! LeRae backpedals to the ring, Shotzi tries to go after her and takes the knucks to the temple! LeRae rushes in for the cover! 1… 2… 3!

WINNER: Candace LeRae

LeRae hides the knucks behind her back as her hand is raised and tosses them to Hartwell as she leaves the arena.

Earlier today, Drake Maverick tries convincing Killian Dain to be his tag team partner with branding ideas because… well… they have a match against Imperium tonight!

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

In the ring, Robert Stone is hyping up the Robert Stone Brand and how no one wants to really be a part of the hottest thing going. It’s their loss, because that’ll be someone else’s gain. The spotlight hits… as Toni Storm makes her way to the ring!

Aliyah and Storm trade slaps and dropkicks until Aliyah has the upper hand with a swinging neckbreaker on Storm. Cover… kickout at 2.

Storm battles back and sends Aliyah to the ropes, Manhattan Drop followed by a chop. Storm does another Manhattan Drop with a chop follow. Standing switch from Storm to a German Suplex. Aliyah crawls to the corner and Storm charges in with a hip attack. Storm off the ropes, sliding clothesline. Storm cinches Aliyah up, Storm Zero connects. 1… 2… 3.

WINNER: Toni Storm

NXT General Manager confirms that Candace LeRae will face Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Title in 2 weeks at Halloween Havoc but he has not decided on a stipulation for that match just yet. Also, Raquel Gonzalez and Rhea Ripley will face each other. Xia Li and Boa approach Regal, with Li insisting that she have a match next week… Regal says he will take it into consideration.

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

Symphony no. 9 blares throughout the Capitol Wrestling Center as Imperium’s Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel make their way to the ring. Drake Maverick and the disgusted and infuriated Killian Dain make their entrance. Killian Dain pushes Maverick into the corner… I guess Dain’s starting this one.

Dain and Aichner start things off, Aichner tries lifting Dain up for a German Suplex but Dain shrugs him off and body slams near his corner. Dain slaps Maverick in the chest, tagging him in and hip tosses him over the top rope onto Aichner. Dain sends Aichner into the ropes, Aichner takes a shoulder block from Dain though Maverick thinks he was part of it as well. Maverick for the cover… kickout at 1.

Maverick brings Aichner up only to eat a lariat. Barthel tagged in and starts grinding his elbow into Maverick. Barthel punching down Maverick into his corner and grinding his boot into his face. Aichner tagged in, rushes in but eats a couple Maverick boots. Barthel rushes with a clothesline, Maverick low-bridges the ropes sending him to the outside. Maverick crawling for the tag, Aichner misses over the top of Maverick with a sliding clothesline and there’s the opening for the Dain hot tag!

Dain throwing down clothesline after clothesline on Imperium! He tries for a standing double spinebuster but they fight out of his clutches. Dain bounds off the ropes, plows through a Barthel clothesline but takes an Aichner spinebuster followed by a Barthel PK. Aichner prepping Dain for a suplex but takes too long and Dain suplexes him instead. Tag made to Maverick!

Maverick with a leg lariat to Barthel, punches and kicks to Aichner but he sends him to the corner. Aichner rushes in, Maverick kicks his legs out and eats the turnbuckle. Maverick follows with a kick to Aichner’s face and climbs to the top turnbuckle. Dain climbs to the apron but is pulled down by Barthel and sent into the ringsteps, distracting Maverick and allowing Aichner to get to his feet.

Maverick leaps from the top with a crossbody but Aichner easily catches him. Aichner hoists him up for a nasty Brainbuster. Barthel tagged in, Aichner hoists Maverick up and Barthel sends him down with the European Bomb. 1… 2… 3.

WINNERS: Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel

After the match, Ever-Rise gets in the ring and begin to rub salt in Drake Maverick’s wounded pride, slapping him in the face and pushing him out of the ring. The begin to taunt him outside the ring but Dain plows through the two of them with a double clothesline. Maverick leaning against the ringpost as Dain stomps towards him, “Nobody hits you but me!” he screams.

Dexter Lumis will face Damian Priest for the NXT North American Title, next!

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

Next week on NXT: Breezango defend their NXT Tag Team Titles against Undisputed Era’s Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong.

Damian Priest and Dexter Lumis have made their way to the ring.
This is for the NXT North American Championship.
The bell rings… let’s go!

NXT North American Title Match
Damian Priest (c) v. Dexter Lumis

The two tie up and strongarm each other throughout the ring until Priest gets the upperhand and begins to work on Lumis’ left shoulder. Lumis sent to the corner, Priest charges in but Lumis leaps over him. Lumis rushes in but takes a Priest back elbow.. and stares daggers into Priest who dares him to bring it.

Lumis misses a clothesline, Priest off the ropes, ducks a Lumis backhand, Priest off the ropes again and Lumis connects with a Thesz Press raining down right hands. Lumis with body blows in the corner, Priest shoves him away. Lumis comes in and Priest almost stomps on Lumis’ injured ankle… Lumis staring into Priest and resumes the pummeling in the corner. Priest battles out of the corner with kicks to Lumis’ calf and a leaping kick to the temple, sending Lumis crashing down.

Lumis in the corner, Priest charges in with a leaping back elbow and a Falcon Arrow follow. Cover… kickout at 2. Lumis rolls out of the ring as we go to break.

*COMMERCIAL BREAK*

Back from break and Lumis is in control, punching Priest into the corner. He charges in with a clothesline and a bulldog to follow. Lumis charges into Priest in the corner but Priest catches him by the throat. Goes for the Chokebomb but Lumis slips away, pushes Priest into the ropes. Priest misses a clothesline but Lumis doesn’t with a spinebuster. Cover… kickout at 2.

Lumis stalking Priest as he gets to his feet. Lumis has Priest ready for a Urinagi, Priest battles free… only for a second as Lumis tightens his grip. Priest pushes Lumis into the corner and begins leveling him with back elbows again and again. Priest pulls him out of the corner, Cyclone Kick to the temple… Flatliner for the follow. Cover… kickout at 2.

Priest gets up and slaps an Ankle Lock on Lumis! Lumis screaming and making for the rope but Priest drags him back to the center of the ring. Lumis musters up enough strength to turn on his back and kick Priest away. Lumis misses wildly with a right, Priest claps his ears. Priest kicks Lumis again in the head and hoists him up for a Crucifix bomb but Lumis slips away and connects with a belly-to-back suplex. The two lie prone on the mat… until Lumis kips up and drops a massive leg drop! Cover… kickout at 2!

Lumis climbs to the top rope for a Swanton… and misses as Priest rolls away, crashing down to the mat. Priest out of the corner with a massive clothesline sends Lumis back down as he gets up. Priest rears back, misses a Cyclone Kick…. Lumis with the Uranagi and he locks in The Silent Treatment! Priest gets his legs under the ropes and slides outside the ring to safety.

Lumis rolls out of the ring to the floor, stalking Priest and sends him face first into the plexiglass. He rolls Priest back into the ring and gets onto the apron. As soon as Lumis is on his feet, Cameron Grimes from out of nowhere with a Cave In on Dexter Lumis on the apron! Lumis is in the ring clutching his chest, out of breath… Priest with a hand around his throat, ChokeBomb! 1… 2… 3.

WINNER and STILL NXT North American Champion: Damien Priest

Damien Priest begins to walk up the entrance ramp, but turns his head to notice Cameron Grimes in the ring, pointing and laughing at Dexter Lumis. Priest quickly rolls back into the ring and delivers The Reckoning to Grimes. Priest walks back up the entrance ramp celebrating his victory… but is met with a steel chair to the back by Johnny Gargano! Candace LeRae comes out to revel in Johnny’s handiwork… but NXT General Manager William Regal appears behind them. He confirms that at Halloween Havoc, Candace will face Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship… and Johnny will battle for the NXT North American Titles… but the stakes are a little higher and that will be determined by… The Host of Halloween Havoc…

Across the CWC, Shotzi Blackheart is seeing standing on a podium in front of a videoboard. “You matches will be determined with… Spin the Wheel, Make a Deal!” A large whell is shown behind Shotzi showing all of the different stipulation that may happen in two weeks!
