- The show opened with a promo from Cruz Montana about how Zilla Fatu had interfered in his No. 1 contender’s match last week against Grayson Waller. Fatu apparently isn’t there tonight. Rey Fenix interrupted to (for some reason) so they could basically say it’s nice to see each other and for Montana to threaten to beat up Fatu in the NXT parking lot if he sees him there.
- Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender’s Match: EK Prosper defeated La Parka, Romeo Moreno and Tristan Angels — The winner gets a title shot the following week against Rey Fenix for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
- Backstage, WrenQCC and The Vanity Project crossed paths, with Swipe Right hitting on Kendal Grey, who said they remind her of the guys she wrestled in high school who used to have problems growing facial hair. The assessment is that Myka Lockwood is the vanity and the guys are the projects.
- Nattie defeated Thea Hail by submission. Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons held Jaida Parker back while Nattie continued to beat down Hail some more.
- Bronco Nima gave Lucien Price a quick pep talk in the locker room.
- WWE Speed Championship Match: Lexis King (c) defeated Lucien Price by pinfall. Bronco Nima made the post-match save to fight off BirthRight from an attack after the bell.
- Grayson Waller cut a promo about Zilla Fatu. Tony D’Angelo and Cruz Montana came out as well. After some jaw-jacking, Robert Stone booked a Triple Threat for Heatwave and said he’ll be the one who deals with Fatu whenever he gets there.
- Shiloh Hill told Lizzy Rain backstage that he would have helped her out in her match last week if he could have. She told him not to worry about it and they chatted about EK Prosper’s AAA cruiserweight title shot. She called Kali Armstrong rude and they were interrupted by Myles Borne, who talked to Robert Stone about how Hill’s match with Jackson Drake to come doesn’t have anything in it for Hill, so he offered a title shot if Hill beats Drake.
- Back from the commercial break, Keanu Carver was in Robert Stone’s office. He made him some coffee and threatened Stone to drink it. Kam Hendrix interrupted to say since he beat Mason Rook, he should be at the top of the list. Carver yelled at him and then left.
- Kali Armstrong and Kelani Jordan defeated WrenQCC (Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair) by pinfall.
- Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox had a split-screen promo to announce that they’re having a Weaponized Steel Cage match next week.
- Jackson Drake defeated Shiloh Hill by pinfall due to interference from NARAKU spitting mist in Hill’s face. As per the stipulation, Drake not only now will face Myles Borne for the North American title, but The Vanity Project will also face Borne and Tavion Heights for the tag team titles, both matches happening at NXT Heatwave.
- ZARIA was speaking to Robert Stone about the title unification match when Kali Armstrong interrupted to say since she pinned Sinclair, she should get a WWE Speed Women’s Championship match and not have to go through a tournament, as Lucien Price didn’t have to. ZARIA talked tough about how after Heatwave, there won’t be a Speed title to challenge for (furthering the idea that they’re actually unifying the belts and not just having ZARIA hold both at the same time) as she’s just going to remain Women’s North American champion. Stone booked a match for next week, where if Kali Armstrong beats ZARIA, the title unification becomes a Triple Threat.
- Zilla Fatu signed his NXT contract and it turns out the Triple Threat match for the NXT Championship is now a Fatal 4-Way. The other three competitors in that match all were out and being held back by security to end the show.
