Stephanie McMahon welcomes everyone to WrestleMania Sunday

Samantha Irvin asks everyone to please welcome Stephanie McMahon. McMahon hasn’t been seen as a character on WWE television since her father had her unceremoniously ousted as CEO of WWE following a takeover to return to power in early 2023. Her first real sighting was an appearance at the WWE Hall of Fame this past Friday.

McMahon says it’s a little warmer than last night. When she was eight years old, she was at the first WrestleMania. She’s been to every one of them. Every WrestleMania is special, but this is the one she’s most proud of. This is the first WrestleMania of the Paul Levesque Era. We have people from 64 countries and all 50 states. We’re all here with different backgrounds and beliefs to share this one thing we love. It brings us all together. Nobody understands that better than Triple H.

McMahon wants to steal a line and ask Philly: “Are you ready?” The crowd cheers, but that’s not good enough. McMahon growls, “No, I said, ‘Are you ready?’” The crowd roars. It’s time to kick off Night Two of WrestleMania!

A group of bagpipers play “The Green Hills of Tyrol,” best known as the theme song for WWE Hall of Famer the late great “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Drew McIntyre’s music soon begins playing. An extremely confident Scottish Warrior makes his way to the ring and poses on the turnbuckles. Fire blazes from three turnbuckles as he poses.

CM Punk is shown on commentary for this match. Punk’s right arm is in a large brace due to a torn triceps. McIntyre injured Punk’s arm at the Royal Rumble in January, killing off Punk’s WrestleMania dreams for this year.

Michael Cole announces that it is 61 degrees. Last night dipped into the forties.

A New Orleans-style band plays Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ music. Rollins then comes out in a wild outfit. Punk immediately says on commentary, “Look at this goof!” This group is the Philadelphia Mummers. Punk thinks Liberace is rolling in his grave. Rollins leads them down to ringside and parades them around before getting in the ring. Rollins has been champion for 316 days.
