How he comes back after all the brutal matches he has been involved in & how much longer does he think he could keep it up: “I’ve had surgeries on my knees; I’m pretty sure I need surgery on my neck & my shoulder, but I haven’t been to the doctors to check on those things. It’s not an option for me to take time off. I’ve been doing this for ten year, and my first match was my 16th birthday (which was May 2000). I’ve had many injuries, but only two surgeries, with a total of six months off for both when it should have been a year off. That’s just not something I have in me, I just keep going, and my body pays the price, but I don’t know if I’m tougher than other people or if I don’t have the same way of coping with pain, because it really doesn’t affect me.”

The long awaited & highly anticipated Grudge Match between himself & El Generico taking place at ROH’s “Death Before Dishonor VIII” at The Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, and why he’s looking for closure in their feud & not necessarily a “Match of the Year” between the two: “To be honest with you, that’s not what I looking for. I’m just looking to an end to all of this. If that mean it takes three minutes, and I break his neck, that’s hardly a ‘Match of The Year’ to some people, but to me it is, because I accomplished what I’m looking for. There’s no doubt that it’s stacked on that night, I guarantee one if not more of the matches on the top of the card will be ‘Match of the Year’ by the end of this year. If it’s mine great, but all I care about at the end of the night is hopefully having a body part from Generico I could take home with me.”
After DBD VIII, what’s he feels in store for himself in Ring of Honor & if he believes he will get a shot at Tyler Black’s ROH World Title: “I certainly hope so. My thing with Tyler (Black) is completely different from Generico, I like Tyler. I think he’s an incredible wrestler, and unfortunately, I think there are a lot of people who turned their backs on him as far as the fans go. I wanna help him, and I think the best thing for him is to take that belt away. People were behind him the whole time he chased it, and then when he won it, people didn’t like him anymore. So in my mind, I’m gonna help Tyler out and take his title. And people will surely come back to him & get back on his side.”

What would Kevin Steen do if the WWE came calling & if he sees a possible transition to World Wrestling Entertainment as the next phase of his career: “I would ask for 45 billion dollars. I have a family to provide for, but also a family I want to be with. It hurts being away from them for three days, so I couldn’t imagine being away from them for 300 days a year with whatever they do. Down the line…things may change where I would be willing to bring my price down to 30 billion, but right now, that’s what I would do.”

Being a part of the ROH brand right now, the growth & evolution of the company, & why he’s enjoying his role & spot in Ring of Honor currently in Ring of Honor: The company is growing exponentially over the last couple of years, and of course HDNet has been a real tool for that. As far as I know, HDNet is very happy with the product we have been giving, and we are happy with what HDNet has been doing for us. I think the big success over the last few years has been the Internet Pay-Per-Views. I definitely see that has a great way to expose the best wrestling out there to a worldwide audience. To be honest…if I keep being showcased at the top, I don’t see why the company wouldn’t be at the top pretty soon. That’s just the logical way to go.”
