[Indy Results] I had a great time at Emile Dupre’s Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling show tonight (June 7th) in Berwick, Nova Scotia before roughly 150 fans. Here are the results; The Wrestling Spider-Man beat The Cuban Assassin despite Cuban’s foot being on the ropes, “The Pirate of the Caribbean” Phil Atlas beat The (masked) French Mystic, Jeff Dupre beat Butcher Vachon (not the original) by Countout to retain the AGPW Heavyweight title, Erin Angel (from the UK) beat “The Fabulous” She Nay Nay in a Ladies match, Wrestling Spider-Man & French Mystic beat Cuban Assassin & Pirate of the Caribbean in a tag team match, “The French Phenom” Rene Dupre beat “Nature Boy” Buddy Austin (formerly A-1 in TNA) in the main event. The show ended with all the heels attacking Rene Dupre and the fan-favorites making the save including Emile Dupre chasing the heels swinging a steel chair! [reported by Brad Dykens]

[Question] Does anyone know who the “fans” were on the 5/22 and 5/29 episodes of TNA iMPACT who got their (sweet) asses kicked by TNA Knockout’s champion Amazing Kong? I’m fully aware of this week’s offering, Daffney, as well as the other finalists, Amber O’Neal and Becky Bayless. I also saw Shantelle Taylor raising her hand in the audience. – I’m just wondering who the original two victims were. They MUST have been trained wrestlers to take that kind of punishment. Email me at [email protected] if you have the answer(s).

[Notes] From April Hunter: “I have spinal injuries from wrestling. Some days I can’t walk, others aren’t as bad. I’ve been in therapy for a year and the bills are REALLLLY adding up. I had insurance, but they dropped me when they found out I was a wrestler, so I’m paying everything out of pocket, which is sucking ass. Someone suggested I might be able to supplement my income doing this. I know I need an updated MRI ($1200.00 and $2000.00) worth of VAX treatments, asap, that I don’t have. And (hard to believe, right?), not a single promoter has offered to do that token “benefit show” so I’m on my own with this.” – Send donations via PayPal to [email protected]

[Article] The latest “Perspectives on Wrestling” article by Richard Berger is now online. This time around, it’s something of an editorial concerning the WWE’s refusal to allow “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair to attend the NWA convention this weekend, where he will be inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame. To read the column, entitled “The Bully is Back,” go to http://perspectivesonwrestling.blogspot.com/2008/06/bully-is-back.html.
