Our program was open with a recap of the chaos that was TNA Wrestling iMPACT on Spike TV. Wrestle Talk Radio’s Spug & Mase gave their thoughts on what can be done to correct the current Lockdown PPV card.
After a break Alan recapped the WrestleMania 27 weekend events held by Ring of Honor, Dragon Gate USA, Evolve and Women Superstars Uncensored. Before welcoming our media contributors to the show, the trio discussed the first episode of WWE Tough Enough 5.0 and who they expect to go far in the competition.
The show shifted gears by breaking down each of the eight matches seen on Sunday’s WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta, GA. Also discussed were the announcement of a WrestleMania 28 match on Monday Night Raw between John Cena and the Rock plus who should we expect to be “future endeavored” in the coming weeks. The following personalities gave their opinions and notes: Phil Strum, Jim Varsallone, Kevin Scott, Spug, Mase & WTR listeners Jersey Girl and Mike Liguori who attended the mega-event. Before signing off the panel discussed the removal of the term “wrestling” from the WWE name and how this will impact the wrestling business as a whole.
