Career Highlights

 

  • 2006-2008 Before entering the ring as a competitor, Matt Burns worked as a referee for the both now defunct Provincial Wrestling Alliance and Republic Pro Wrestling, and also enjoyed a brief stint as manager of the Fraternity, PWA’s then Tag Team Champions.
  • September 18, 2008 – Republic Pro Wrestling – Debuted (as RNB), helping “Hip Hop” Dylan Davis defeat Justin Lock.
  • September 26, 2008 – RPW – Hip Hop & RNB defeated Mean and Nasty (Justin Lock and ‘Nasty’ Nick Dyson) to become number one contenders for the RPW tag team championship.
  • October 2, 2008 – RPW – Gerald B. O’Neill and Loco vs. Hip Hop & RNB ended in a no-contest after a run-in by Mean and Nasty.
  • October 25, 2008 – RPW – RNB defeated Gerald B. O’Neill and ‘Nasty’ Nick Dyson in a triple threat match.
  • November 20, 2008 – RPW – Gerald B. O’Neill defeated RNB.
  • December 18, 2008 – RPW – Gerald B. O’Neill and Loco defeated Hip Hop & RNB to retain the RPW tag team championship.
  • January 24, 2009 – RPW – (show #1) RNB was one of the final five in a Royal Rumble, before being eliminated by Tony King.
  • January 24, 2009 – RPW – (show #2) Mean and Nasty defeated Gerald B. O’Neill and Loco and Hip Hop & RNB in a triple threat tag team match to win the RPW tag team championship.
  • April 26, 2009 – Legend City Wrestling – Too Dam Hyp defeated Matt Burns..
  • ~~~Later in the night, Matt Burns was the final man eliminated from a 7-man Battle Royal, won by ‘Nasty’ Nick Dyson.
  • May 24, 2009 – LCW – DC Money defeated Matt Burns.
  • June 28, 2009 – LCW – Sheik Aziz defeated Matt Burns..
  • ~~~Later in the night, Matt Burns replaced the injured JX Phlex in a Survivor Series Showdown, and was eliminated by Krys Krimzon.

  • July 25, 2009 – LCW – Kowboy Mike Hughes defeated Matt Burns..
  • ~~~After the match, Highlander Robbie McAllister saved Burns from a Hughes beat down.
  • July 26, 2009 – LCW – “Nasty” Nick Dyson defeated Matt Burns.
  • August 25, 2009 – LCW – “Nasty” Nick Dyson defeated Matt Burns. Later in the night, Matt Burns was eliminated from a Battle Royal by “Nasty” Nick Dyson.
  • September 20, 2009 – LCW – “Nasty” Nick Dyson and Gerald B. O’Neill defeated Matt Burns and Loco. Later in the night, Matt Burns was eliminated from a battle royal for the LCW Heavyweight Championship by Sylvain Grenier.
  • September 22, 2009 – LCW – Tristan Slater defeated Matt Burns.
  • March 7, 2010 – LCW – Too Damn Hype defeated Matt Burns
  • May 15, 2010 – LCW – Blake Maxwell defeated Matt Burns. Later in the night, Matt Burns was eliminated from a Legend City Rumble by Blake Maxwell.
  • May 17, 2010 – LCW – “Nasty” Nick Dyson defeated Matt Burns.
  • May 18, 2010 – LCW – Too Damn Hype defeated Matt Burns.
