Supervisor of elections Janet Munda couldn’t find the name Rick Steiner among registered voters. So she called him to tell him he wasn’t eligible. He had been appointed to the board to fill a term and he was the only person in the election, so he was going to win. Unlike in Minnesota, you have to run under your legal name in Georgia for public office. It’s too late to make the July ballot primary, but he is going to run as Robert Rechsteiner as a write-in candidate.
