Mike Aldren wrote (On March 4, 2010): Awesome Kong (Kia Stevens) was also apparently granted a release from her contract. She recently wrote on her Twitter account thanking Dixie Carter for wishing her well in her future endeavours. Kong had requested her release several week's ago following the backstage altercation with Tampa radio DJ Bubba the Love Sponge. She had been unhappy with certain things for some time. TNA officials will neither confirm or deny that Kong has been granted a release.
