How DDP Yoga has transformed him and how he has has been trying to “hold back the hands of time”: “Whenever you put DDP and yoga together, it’s like an oxymoron to me if you go back to my first 42 years. I’m a guy who wouldn’t be caught dead doing yoga. I’m always going to do what’s going to help me, what’s going to enlighten my mind and my body, because I’ve been trying to hold back the hands of time since I started professional wrestling at the age of 35. For me, the only reason it got to where I am now is because I ruptured my L4 and L5. It’s not about the weight loss. It’s about getting the core strength in your core muscles to take the strain and wear and tear off your back. I started doing it and felt the difference right away. If you put the work in, it works. If you don’t put the work in, it don’t work.”
The first WWE Superstar to use DDP Yoga and how it changed his life, the significance of Chris Jericho promoting DDP Yoga and how that helped the brand grow, and the plans for a forthcoming DDP Yoga workout series with DDP & Jericho: What does DDP have to say about Chris Jericho and his use of DDP Yoga: “Chris really put DDP Yoga on the map. I’ve been changing the trademark YRG Yoga, which is a part of DDP Yoga. There’s also my extreme, psycho workout. Chris started out with YRG workout because he had an herniated L4, which meant his actually vertebrae was actually herniated. When that happens, you’re done. I heard it from Shawn Michaels, and he was actually the first person to do the workout. He still does them today and tells people about it all the time. For Jericho, it became a passion. If they mention anything about me, he starts talking about it, and you need to know that I never paid him a dime. I can’t afford Chris. He’s a million dollar guy. I have started negotiations with his manager, and I’m just waiting to hear what Chris wants, because I want Chris to make some money out of this, since he helped me built the brand. We’re going to put together a workout series with me and Jericho, because he loves it so much that I want him to do it with me. He’s definitely up for it. He’s busy right now, and I was hoping to get it done this month, but it looks like December hopefully before January.”
Which current WWE Superstars use DDP Yoga regularly and which two talents will be teaching his program in the future: “Zack Ryder always tweets about it, which is very cool. Look at Ryback one of the biggest guys in the business. One of the reasons he can do what he can do is because of DDP Yoga. Ask him. The Prime Time Players, they do it. There’s about 30 guys I have given the workouts to. Stevie Richards will teach it. Glacier will end up teaching it.
