AEW International Championship Match
Bandido vs. AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy

The champ starts things off by trying his usual antics, but Bandido is not much for it as he tries to overwhelm Cassidy with his high flying maneuvers! The two trade holds and strikes before the challenger taunts the champ…which is met with the champ “holstering the guns” on Bandido! The challenger escapes the ring as Orange starts to build up momentum, forcing the champ to put the brakes on for the moment.

Hands in pockets as the champ seemingly outruns the challenger as a bit of surprise, hitting a headscissors takedown sending Bandido to the outside again! Orange goes for a dive but gets caught, before the challenger sends him crashing into the barricade. This gives Bandido a chance to hit some more offense before bringing the champ back in the ring, but only gets a nearfall for the effort.

Bandido taunts the champ again as he continues the attack, culminating in a modified stretch muffler really putting the hurt on Cassidy before the champ can manage to get to the ropes to force a break. Bandido sends Orange to the outside before hitting a big dive as we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: Bandido is firmly in control as he continues the attack, bringing the champ back into the ring to ramp things up before locking in a submission hold that Cassidy narrowly breaks out of. The challenger stays on top of the situation as he goes for a delayed vertical suplex on the champ…but Cassidy tries to fight out of it as we come back!

The champ finally manages to get out of the suplex, but Bandido brings him down all the same. Both men to their feet as Bandido hits a chop, which is met with…a “dangerous strike” by the champ. The two continue this until Bandido hits a big superkick followed by a pump kick on Cassidy, only for the champ to turn things around as he slams Bandido’s head against the turnbuckle. Champ is up top but Bandido fights him off, only for Cassidy to hit a Michinoku driver for a nearfall!

Bandido heads back to the outside but is met with a dive by the champ, but a kick to the head by the challenger sends Cassidy reeling on the apron. Bandido brings the champ to the corner, hitting a big superplex followed by a pop-up cutter off the ropes for a nearfall! The fight brings itself back to the corner as Bandido looks for an X Marks The Spot, but Orange cuts him off before leaping off the top rope…and into a gorilla press slam!

Bandido up top hits a frog splash, but STILL only a nearfall as the champ kicks out! Bandido blocks an Orange Punch but a Mouse Trap attempt gets countered by Bandido. Orange dodges another attack by the challenger, hitting the Orange Punch and a Beach Break for the pin and the win to retain!

Winner via pinfall and STILL AEW International Champion: Orange Cassidy

OC hands the title to the ref before calling Bandido up to his feet, presenting him with a pair of shades out of respect. Backstage, Adam Cole promises to call Jericho and says he will come find Jericho if need be. Cole walks off as Orange Cassidy and Bandido come by to see if Renee is going to interview them after that opening contest. Upon learning that no, she was there to catch up with Adam Cole, they both reply “oh” before walking off.

-Commercial Break-

Back from commercial, Renee is standing by with “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry and Darby Allin, the latter of whom asked for this time. The two agree that there were some things said that got out of hand, before making the agreement for Perry to have Darby’s back in the Pillars Tournament final later tonight.

They hit a couple quips on each other before we go back to ringside for our next match, as Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring before officials kick his friends out. Out next is Dax Harwood, before this match gets underway!

Jeff Jarrett vs. AEW World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood

The two lock up to start things off, each looking to get the upper hand on the other as Jarrett makes the best of the ropes being nearby before catching the arm of Harwood, wrenching it until Dax reverses it. The two continue trading holds, with Jarrett taunting the tag team champion before hitting a shoulder tackle. Dax dodges another attack sliding through the legs of Jarrett, who catches him with a hip toss before mocking Dax with a strut. Harwood responds to this with a big chop before sending him to the corner, laying in some more hard offense for good measure!

Jarrett to the ropes now, catches Dax with a boot to the face followed by an uppercut before sending Harwood to the corner and laying in a boot to the midsection. Dax takes an opening to get back up, taking Jarrett down before getting a nearfall. Dax brings Jarrett up to the top turnbuckle, hitting a couple chops before Jarrett sends Dax down to the canvas as we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: Jarrett continues the attack on Harwood outside the ring, beating him down before bringing him back into the ring and fending off brief moments of the tag champ fighting back to lock in a devastating sleeper hold…until Dax rocks him with a jawbreaker as we come back!

Jarrett tries to get his footing again as he takes Dax down, looking for a figure four leglock, but Dax escapes taking Jeff down! Dax up to the top with a headbutt, but only gets a nearfall. Jarrett goes after the champ but gets faked out by Dax, who hits a piledriver for another nearfall. Jeff has had enough of this by the looks of things, leaving the ring to go up the ramp…but he’s intercepted by Harwood, who brings him back to ringside hitting him against the barricade with a chop before bringing Jeff back in the ring.

Dax goes off the top rope again but gets caught by Jarrett, who looks for a leglock at first but instead sends Dax flying with a monkey flip…but only gets a nearfall. Dax counters another figure-four attempt with a small package, which gets a nearfall of his own! Jarrett continues the attack briefly, until he gets sent down with a lariat by Harwood! Jarrett catches Dax off guard as Sonjay Dutt comes sliding out to hold Dax’s feet down…but even that only gets a nearfall! Dax gives chase to Jarrett, who hits the Stroke on Dax for the pin and the win!

Winner via pinfall: Jeff Jarrett

Backstage, Tony Khan is standing by where he announces the opening ceremonies for this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will be at Double or Nothing…and the tournament will be held in Owen Hart’s home country of Canada during the summer (including Forbidden Door), with the finals being held in Owen’s hometown of Calgary!

Back at ringside, the new TNT Champion Wardlow is in action!

Wardlow in Action vs. Ariel Levy (CCW heavyweight champ)

It seems as though we are back to Wardlow facing local talent, and this match goes by very, very quick leading to a Powerbomb Symphony for the pin and the win.

Winner via pinfall: Wardlow

After the match, Arn Anderson takes the microphone to talk about Wardlow needing to refocus and be more aggressive going forward, but is soon interrupted by the arrival of Christian Cage and Luchasaurus, who get as far as the ring before thinking better of it as they regroup on the ramp.

Backstage, Renee is with Sammy Guevara and MJF who address the Pillars Tournament, Double or Nothing, and the “fat check” Sammy took last week, before they exchange pleasantries to send us to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

Back from commercial, RJ City is standing by to address the big tag match later tonight…but he gets attacked by Blackpool Combat Club, who promise they will leave scars tonight!

Back at ringside, Darby Allin makes his way to the ring for our next match as he gets ready to face Sammy Guevara to determine who faces MJF at Double or Nothing for the AEW World Championship. Out next is Sammy himself, but MJF comes out to the ring to presumably keep an eye on his “investment” from the commentary booth.

Pillars Tournament Final
Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara

Darby taunts Sammy to start things off, but is met with a slap by Guevara before the two go at it. Darby takes Sammy down but only gets a nearfall. Darby continues the attack on Guevara, who gets caught with another takedown before things end up in the corner. Darby builds up momentum before taking Sammy down with an arm drag…but Guevara hits one of his own to turn the tables. Sammy is on the offense here, getting a nearfall in the process before Sammy catches him with a reversal…only for Darby to catch him with a cloverleaf, forcing Sammy to get the ropes for the break.

Sammy catches Darby with a knee to the back, sending him out of the ring before keeping on the offense, sending Darby into the ring post. Sammy taunts the fans from inside the ring as Darby recovers, but Darby catches him on the apron looking for a German suplex. Sammy manages to fight out of it, distracting the ref before hitting a low blow that sends Darby to the floor outside…and hits a big moonsault on him before we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: Sammy is clearly enjoying the advantage he has at the moment, attacking Darby even further on the outside before finally bringing him back into the ring. Sammy follows up by locking in a Boston crab on Darby, who eventually manages to fight out of it…and drops Sammy to the canvas as we come back!

Sammy rolls to the outside, giving Darby a chance to go for a dive…only to get caught by Sammy, who drops him to the floor! Sammy reaches under the ring, grabbing a table to use against Darby…who catches Sammy with a chop before setting him up on the table. Darby slides into the ring before climbing up top…but is intercepted by Tay Conti, allowing Sammy to catch Darby with a Spanish fly into the ring!

Sammy sets Darby on the table outside before leaping off the top rope for a HUGE 630 senton, sending Darby through the table in the process! The ref begins the count as Sammy slides back into the ring…but Darby narrowly stops the count, angering MJF enough for the champ to head to the ring!

Darby building up some offense on Sammy but the ref is distracted by Tay, as MJF has Darby’s skateboard in hand…and he tosses it to Darby before leaving the apron, as Sammy drops down hard on his own accord to the canvas. The ref catches Darby with the skateboard and calls for the bell, saying Darby has been disqualified!

Winner via disqualification and advancing to Double or Nothing: Sammy Guevara

MJF and Sammy beat up on Darby until Jack Perry comes running down to make the save, forcing them to regroup on the ramp. Darby shouts at Jack for not being there sooner as MJF runs them down. The entire time, we have been hearing Tony Schiavone having some sort of conversation with Tony Khan over his headset…and now, announces that Sammy did earn his title match at Double or Nothing, but he may not be the only one!

Next week there will be a tag team match, Jungle Boy and Darby taking on Sammy and MJF. If the champ and his new number one contender can win, the match will remain a singles bout…but if Perry and Darby win, the match at Double or Nothing will be a Pillars Four-Way match!

MJF is furious about the news as Jungle Boy’s music hits, and the two reluctantly shake hands ahead of their tag match next week.

-Commercial Break-

Back from commercial, Renee tries to get a word from MJF and Sammy Guevara, but they are still incensed by what was announced. Sammy follows MJF to the car but is told the car is full (despite the camera showing us an empty vehicle), the champ leaving his “friend” behind in the process!

Back at ringside, Adam Cole makes his way to the ring with microphone in hand after what went down last week. He is clearly angry about not only being jumped by the JAS but making him watch the Outcasts beat up Britt Baker, promising to beat up Jericho (and bad) for what he did. Cole threatens to come find Jericho but his music hits…only for Jericho to show up on the screen, saying he doesn’t even want to be near a man like Adam Cole, calling him a coward for “letting” his wife get beat up.

Jericho won’t do anything tonight, but his guys will…and this brings out the JAS to go after Cole, until Orange Cassidy and Bandido come out to even the numbers ever so slightly! JAS is still in control as they beat up Cassidy and Bandido as well…until Roderick Strong makes his way out to make the save!

Strong practically clears the ring of the Appreciation Society as Cole makes it to his feet, and the friends stare each other down for a moment before showing their appreciation for each other. JAS regroups on the ramp as their adversaries tonight stand tall, but Cassidy and Cole stare each other down before the champ and Bandido leave the ring.

QTV: QT addresses what happened lately, threatened by Hobbs to fix the problem, talks about going to “plan B”

Back at ringside we are gearing up for the TBS Championship match, with Taya Valkyrie coming out first ahead of champion Jade Cargill, noted as having the longest streak of title defenses in AEW history as she heads to the ring. We get ring introductions for challenger and champion, and this match gets underway!

Taya Valkyrie vs. TBS Champion Jade Cargill

The pair circle around before locking up, with Taya escaping Jade’s reach. Jade mocks the challenger and is met with a slap from Taya! The two trade strikes and hold until Taya looks for Road to Valhalla, but the champ powers out of the grip. Jade lays into Taya with some forearms before sending the challenger to the ropes, but Taya gets the better of the champ before sending her out of the ring!

Jade tries to trip Taya up but the challenger hits the splits for the save…only to get dropped onto the floor on the outside as we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: The champ is in control now, beating Taya up before sending her into the steel steps! Jade with a boot to the face for further damage as Taya fights to get to her feet, only to be sent back into the ring by Jade, who hits a boto to the head and a big vertical suplex for a nearfall. Jade locks in a chinlock on the challenger, who tries to fight out of it…only to be slammed to the canvas by the champ! Jade taunts Taya as she keeps on the attack, before we come back!

Jade goes for a cover but only gets a nearfall, before Taya rolls out of a leg drop attempt to give the challenger an opening. Jade dodges a pump kick but not a second kick, leading to a nearfall for Taya! Jade sent to the corner but gets a boot to the face of the challenger, rocking her for a moment. Jade catches Taya on the turnbuckle, hitting a superplex on the challenger before hitting a big Canadian Destroyer on Taya…but only a nearfall!

Jade goes for the Jaded, but Taya fights out of it! Taya takes the champ down with a double stomp but still can only get a nearfall. Taya looking to get a Road to Vallhalla but remembers that she could be DQed for it, and that moment of hesitation gives Jade a chance to roll her up for the pin and the win to retain!

Winner via pinfall AND STILL TBS Champion: Jade Cargill

Backstage, Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter stand by to address what went down last week. They say this is far from over, insisting the only thing that will stop them is being sent to the morgue.

Video Package: Bullet Club Gold take on Ricky Starks and Shawn Spears on Rampage

After a rundown of what else is happening this coming week, we see Bryan Danielson heading to commentary for our main event before going to commercial!

-Commercial Break-

Back from commercial, Kenny Omega and Konosuke Takeshita make their way to the ring for our main event! Out next are The Butcher and the Blade, and this main event is underway!

Tag Team Match
The Butcher & The Blade (w/ Kip Sabian) vs. Konosuke Takeshita & Kenny Omega (w/ Don Callis)

We start off with Blade and Takeshita, with Blade really laying it into Takeshita…until Konosuke takes the fight right to him in return with a big dropkick! Tag to Omega, and the pair stay on top of Blade with quick tags and offense to keep him off his game. Takeshita with a big moonsault getting a nearfall, tagging Omega back in…but Blade starts to fight back before taking a hurricanrana by Omega to the outside! Omega looks for the dive but gets caught by Kip Sabian on the outside. This gives Butcher a chance to attack, as does Kip while the ref is distracted as we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: Butcher is tagged in and really lays it on thick on Omega, until tagging Blade back in for more damage. The quick tags are happening with them now as they take Omega down hard, but Omega starts fighting back just as we come back!

Hot tags to Takeshita and Butcher here, with the big man being taken down with a big clothesline by Takeshita, who follows up with some more big offense leading to a big brainbuster for the nearfall. Blade comes in now, dropping Takeshita hard for Butcher to get a nearfall. Omega gets involved just as Takeshita hits a Blue Thunder Bomb…but Blade breaks it up! Blade takes a snap dragon suplex from Omega here, who hits a dive on the outside to Blade and Kip Sabian!

Back in the ring, Takeshita hits the power drive knee on Butcher for the pin and the win!

Winners via pinfall: Konosuke Takeshita & Kenny Omega

The pair celebrate in the ring but they’re cut off by Bryan, who says he saw one professional wrestler get the pinfall and one amateur who looks exhausted. Bryan says he sees a prodigy in Takeshita, who could really be something if he trained with the Blackpool Combat Club…who come out to beat up Kenny Omega until Young Bucks come in for the save. The Bucks head to the ring to deal with Moxley, but Takeshita tries to reason with the Elite to no avail. Moxley gets to the Elite and the BCC join in, raising Takeshita’s hand…but he doesn’t seem to side with them.

Bryan says Takeshita needs to think about what he’s doing…and when it becomes clear he won’t side with BCC, Bryan says he’s made his choice before Moxley takes a big jab at Takeshita with the screwdriver! BCC head up the ramp to regroup, with Omega checking on Takeshita as the show comes to a close.
