“Best In The World” CM Punk vs. “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes

This is the first time Punk and Rhodes have faced each other one-on-one. Punk and Rhodes adhere to the “Code of Honor” to start and do some beautiful mat wrestling to start. They exchange arm drags and hip tosses before staring each other down. Rhodes puts Punk in a Headscissors but Punk reverses it into a Death Lock that he transitions into a Bow and Arrow and then a nearfall. Punk takes Rhodes down again and puts him in a Heel Hook. Punk releases the hold and Rhodes slams Punk’s arm across the top rope.

Rhodes whips Punk into the corner but charges into a boot from the Chicago Made Punk. Punk goes for GTS but Rhodes rolls him up and then hits an Armdrag into an armbar. Rhodes goes for a Cross Body Block but Punk drops down causing Rhodes to go flying through the ropes to the floor where Rhodes starts grabbing his knee. Punk tosses Rhodes back in the ring and starts attacking Rhodes’ knee after Rhodes tried to kick him away.

—-COMMERCIALBREAK—-

Rhodes catches Punk charging at him with a Code Red for two. Rhodes drops down and hits an Uppercut followed by a Snap Powerslam for another nearfall. Rhodes goes for CrossRhodes but Punk counters with a kick to the face before chop blocking Rhodes’ knee. Punk puts Rhodes in a Figure Four. Rhodes fights it off and finally manages to roll it over until Punk grabs the bottom rope.

Punk goes for a Springboard Flying Clothesline but Rhodes hits him in midair with a shot to the gut and follows up with ChrossRhodes followed by a Spike Piledriver! 1…2…NO Punk kicks out! Rhodes puts his hands on his head and shows frustration with Punk kicking out of that. Rhodes goes for an Atomic Elbow but Punk hits him with a Roundhouse Kick. He lifts Rhodes up for the GTS but can’t hold onto him as Rhodes fights it off. Punk manages to sit down on Rhodes as he went for a rollup and gets the pin.

Winner: Punk via pinfall

As Punk is going up the ramp, Hangman Page walks out and gets in Punk’s face. Punk smiles at Page and walks away.

Wardlow is shown arriving earlier today but security stops him. Mark Sterling walks up and says that security will escort him to his “closet” and then to the ring and directly out of the building. They want him to wear handcuffs wherever he goes, too.

Trios Match
The Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta) w/William Regal vs. Dante Martin, Lee Moriarty & Brock Anderson

BCC jumps the young guys right off the bat but Martin manages to come back and catch Yuta with an Enziguri. Danielson tags in and BCC beat Martin down in their corner. Danielson charges at Martin but he sidesteps him and escapes through the ropes before leaping over him and then hitting a dropkick. Moxley tags in but eats a dropkick from Martin. Anderson tags in and runs Moxley over with a clothesline.

Brock beats Moxley down in the corner and charges at him but Moxley escapes and hits a Half Nelson Suplex. Moxley hangs Brock up in the ropes and Danielson dives off the top with a Guillotine Knee Drop.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Moxley is working on Brock’s hand before flipping Moriarty off. Moxley hits the ropes but runs right into a Double-A Spinebuster! Danielson tags in and Moriarty tags in at the same time. Moriarty is throwing kicks all over the place and hits a Springboard Flying Forearm! Moriarty hits a series of knees and then he and Danielson bitch slap each other. Moriarty wrecks Danielson with a Running Uppercut and a Hammerlock Suplex for two!

Moriarty locks Danielson in the Border City Stretch but Danielson fights to his feet and Cradle Suplexes him. Martin tags Moriarty and hits a Springboard Shotgun Dropkick. Moxley tags in but Martin knocks him to the floor and then hits an insane Springboard Plancha! In the ring, Martin goes for the Nosedive but Moxley catches him in midair and locks in the Bulldog Choke. Moriarty breaks tries to break it up with kicks but Danielson lays out Moriarty. Yuta attacks Brock Anderson and they all start throwing stomps and elbows. Moxley hits the Paradigm Shift on Martin for the pin.

Winners: Blackpool Combat Club via pinfall (Paradigm Shift)

The Bucks and reDRagon argue as Cole watches. O’Reilly says they are the Undisputed Elite and they need to start showing it and they can’t be stopped if they work as a team. Cole says that all of Bucks friends are gone except them. He suggests they do an 10-man open challenge next week.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

A video package highlights Singh and Lethal’s attacks on Joe/Gresham last week. Joe says that Lethal thinks because he has a giant now he can’t be touched but him coming for Lethal is inevitable. Singh says that Joe’s time is coming.

Tony Schiavone welcomes Anthony Rafiq Khan out to the stage. Khan introduces New Japan Pro Wrestling’s President Takami Ohbari but Adam Cole interrupts them and says that the biggest NJPW star ever should make this announcement. On June 26, NJPW and AEW will come together for “The Forbidden Door” in Chicago’s United Center. Cole says he also has a friend here.

Jay White walks out and says that “Forbidden Door” will be all about the Undisputed Elite and Bullet Club because it is still their era.

“Mr. Mayhem” Wardlow vs. The Butcher

MJF is watching from suite with Shawn Spears. Wardlow comes to the ring handcuffed and is freed before getting in the ring. Wardlow and Butcher slam into each other repeatedly but neither man budges. They exchange strikes until Butcher starts biting Wardlow. Wardlow runs over Butcher causing him to roll to the floor. Butcher gets pissed and starts pulling out chairs but the referee kicks them back out. Butcher pulls Wardlow out and throws him into the barricade.

Butcher clotheslines Wardlow and continues slamming him into the barricade before tossing him into the ring post. He tries to slam him into the post again but Wardlow reverses it. Wardlow goes for a Powerbomb but Butcher slams him into the apron and then Suplexes him onto it.

In the ring, Butcher clotheslines Wardlow and hits a Powerbomb of his own but Wardlow kicks out at one. Wardlow gets fired up and kicks Butcher before hitting the Powerbomb Symphony for the pin.

Winner: Wardlow via pinfall (Powerbomb Symphony)

Eddie Kingston challenges Daniel Garcia for a match on Rampage where both JAS and PNP are banned from the building. Kingston says everything he does to Garcia is what he’s going to do to Jericho eventually.

Owen Hart Cup Qualifying Match
Jungle Boy vs. Kyle O’Reilly

This is the first time these two have ever faced in a one-on-one match. Great chain wrestling from both men early on with neither getting the advantage. O’Reilly finally gets the advantage with a series of strikes but he misses a Roundhouse Kick and Jungle Boy speeds things up capping off a series with a dropkick. O’Reilly trips Jungle Boy and puts him in a Kimura. Jungle Boy rolls him up for two but then runs into a Flying Knee and a wild Rolling Butterfly Suplex.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Jungle Boy speeds things up again and dumps O’Reilly to the floor. He hits a Tope Suicida and then a Lariat. In the ring, Jungle Boy gets caught with a Hanging Dragonscrew as he tried to get back in the ring. Jungle Boy comes back with a Slingshot Tornado DDT and a Guillotine. O’Reilly lifts up to his feet and counters into a T-Bone Suplex!

O’Reilly knees Jungle Boy in the back but Jungle Boy comes off the ropes with a Rebound Lariat. Jungle Boy Belly-to-Belly Suplexes O’Reilly into the turnbuckles. He goes up top but O’Reilly climbs up with him and puts him in a Hanging Kimura. Jungle Boy escapes and hangs O’Reilly up in the ropes. Jungle Boy puts the boots to O’Reilly and then hits a Hesitation Dropkick. He pulls O’Reilly to the center of the ring and goes for a Sliding Lariat but O’Reilly moves and hits a series of strikes. Jungle Boy rolls O’Reilly up into a rollup for two. O’Reilly counters into an Ankle Lock!

Jungle Boy reverses the hold into the Snare Trap! O’Reilly manages to crawl to the ropes and Jungle Boy goes up to the top but O’Reilly kicks his feet out from under him. O’Reilly hits a Superplex and then rolls him into a Brainbuster. O’Reilly hits a Bombs Away Flying Knee Drop off the top for the pin.

Winner: O’Reilly via pinfall (Bombs Away Knee Drop)

MJF says Butcher didn’t get the job done but there is a lot more money where that came from. MJF says that he is a snake and just like a snake when he decides someone is his pray, all it takes is one bite. Jake Roberts walks up and MJF hands him an envelope full of money. Jake says some people might want championship belts and rings but he chases the money. Archer walks up and slaps the money away and says he doesn’t need any damn money, he just wants to fight.

HOOK vs. Anthony Henry

HOOK immediately takes Henry down and puts him in a Half Crab but Henry gets to the ropes. HOOK hits a series of body shots and then hits a Hip Toss followed by a Hookplex. HOOK hits a Sliding Lariat and hits a series of crossfaces when Danhausen pops up and tries to curse HOOK. HOOK ignores him and submits Henry with the Redrum.

Winner: HOOK via submission (Redrum)

Danhausen gets in the ring and is pissed at HOOK and says if he won’t be cursed by him, he will fight Danhausen. He pokes HOOK in the chest and HOOK shoves him away and walks out.

Scorpio Sky walks up to Kazarian backstage and talks about their history. He says he needs another favor from Kazarian and that’s waiting for him to get his rematch for the TNT Title before he challenges for it. Kazarian says he’s always had his back and he always will.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti come out to the ring and Guevara says he will give his everything to the fans that support him and then he mocks everyone that boos him. He says they don’t like him because his girlfriend is hotter than their girlfriends. Dan Lambert and Men of the Year come out and Ethan Page says there isn’t a single person that came tonight to hear Sammy speak. Dan Lambert said tonight was about business and that is the only reason they aren’t ripping his head off right now.

Lambert says that Sammy risks everything in the ring to earn the respect of the people and now he’s all in his feelings because he threw it all away because he can’t stop acting like a high school kid that can’t keep his tongue out of his girlfriends mouth in public. He challenges Sammy to defend the title against Sky so Sky can give him the pounding his girlfriend dreams about.

Sammy says he’ll give Sky the rematch next week if they’ll give them the Mixed Tag Team Match they want. Sky agrees and they’ll face each other in a Ladder Match next week.

Owen Hart Cup Qualifying Match
Danielle Kamela vs. Dr. Britt Baker w/Najee Harris & Pat Freiermuth

This is our first time seeing Baker since she lost the title to Thunder Rosa. She gets a hero’s welcome from her hometown crowd. Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth from the Steelers are accompanying Baker to the ring. Kamela tries to take Baker down early but Baker immediately takes her down and gets a series of nearfalls. Baker hits a Butterfly Suplex.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Kamela chokes Baker with the rally towel but Baker takes her down and hits a series of rights. She hits a series of forearms before hitting the Slingblade. She hits a Superkick followed by a Spinning Neckbreaker. Baker hits a Curb Stomp and then locks in the Lockjaw for the submission. She uses a Steelers glove on the move.

Winner: Baker via submission (Lockjaw)

Baker says that the women’s division is a disaster without her and then she mocks other women in the division. She taunts Toni Storm by saying once Jamie Hayter mops her face in the ring, she’ll want to leave this company, too. Baker taunts Jade Cargill and her Baddies. Najee Harris is literally dancing the entire time she’s cutting a promo. Baker says the baddies can take a seat because she’s the baddest bitch on the block.

A video package highlights the feud between Shida and Serena Deeb. They’ll finish their feud next week in a Philly Street Fight.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Coffin Match

Andrade el Idolo vs. Darby Allin

This is the second Coffin match ever in AEW, Allin beat Ethan Page in the first one. Blade tries to distract Allin before the match starts but he avoids Andrade and hits him with his skateboard. Private Party hits the ring and they attack Allin. The heels beat Allin down but he fights them off with his skateboard. He dives off the casket but Andrade catches him in midair and throws him into the barricade.

A fan taunts Marq Quen wearing a Sting mask but then takes his mask off revealing its actually Sting! Sting beats Quen and Blade down with a trashcan. They fight all around the arena and up into the stands. Quen hits Sting with a chair but it just pisses the Stinger off and he tosses Quen off a balcony onto Andrade and Blade! That god damn made man then Planchas off the damn balcony!

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Darby throws a chair at a charging Andrade and hits Code Red! Andrade rolls to the floor and Darby goes for a Coffin Drop but Andrade catches him and German Suplexes him onto the floor. The inside of the coffin lid is covered in tacks. Andrade throws Allin into the coffin but Allin stops him from closing the lid. Andrade then Suplexes Allin onto the ramp. Andrade Suplexes Allin onto a steel grate on the side of the stage.

Andrade drags Allin to the coffin and slams Allin into the ring steps. Andrade gets pissed off at the tacks poking him when he tries to open the lid and almost breaks it. He lifts Allin on his shoulder and carries him onto the apron. Allin counters into a Stunner and then hits a Tope onto Andrade sending them both crashing into the coffin. Andrade’s Jose runs out and stops Allin from closing the lid only for Allin to backdrop him onto the tacks. Allin closes the lid and wins the match.

Winner: Allin

The Hardyz come out and celebrate with Allin and Sting.
