TNA IMPACT 10 01 2009

Location: Orlando, Florida (Universal Studios)
Date: October 1, 2009 (Taped: September 21-22)

Mick Foley + Abyss: Mick Foley called out Abyss to confront him about helping him recently when he did not ask for help – and costing him matches and championships along the way. Foley said he didn’t need Abyss’s help when he went flying off of Hell in a Cell (Foley just plugged the WWE PPV this Sunday). Foley said he didn’t need Abyss’s help and he didn’t need Abyss! Abyss said that Mick Foley was his hero, and Foley was the reason he got into the wrestling business. Abyss yelled about Foley repaying him by busting him open bloody last week. Foley said he spent several hours in the emergency room last week getting shards of video tape removed from the palm of his hand. Foley made a peace offering, and pulled out the portait of himself and Jeremy Borash. Abyss was happy that Foley had the portrait fixed, but Foley admitted that it was a reprint, a copy, a cheap knockoff. Foley made the comparison that Abyss was a cheap low-rate Mick Foley wannabe! Foley smashed the frame over Abyss’s head and walked off surrounded by security. Wow, another Foley heel turn? Abyss stood up and jumped out of the ring to go after Foley. Abyss took out Foley’s security team as Foley escaped backstage.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Abyss was freaking out and Lauren Brooke was trying to calm him down. Abyss stormed off, and Lauren said somebody else has to do the interviews cause she has to look after Abyss…

Amazing Red defeated “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed and Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi: Amazing Red earned an X-Division title match with Samoa Joe next week! Jeremy Borash interviewed Amazing Red at ringside after the match, and Jay Lethal confronted him and accused him of stealing the victory..

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Abyss was on a rampage searching for Mick Foley..

Jeremy Borash & Dr. Stevie & Daffney: Jeremy Borash asked Dr. Stevie if he has had any conversations with Mick Foley. Dr. Stevie said it’s not his fault that Foley finally smartened up and saw Abyss for the person he really is. Dr. Stevie yelled into the camera at Kevin Nash “you stole my money!” Dr. Stevie said the deal was $50,000 to end Abyss’ career. Dr. Stevie said Nash has his money, and promised to end Nash’s career tonight. Borash said “wow he’s mad!” and Daffney said “he’s angry.. I’M MAD! HAHAHAHAHA!” She’s awesome.

TNA Legend’s champion Kevin Nash defeated Dr. Stevie w/Daffney:

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Eric Young told Jeremy Borash that Kurt Angle owes him an apology..

The Main Event Mafia (Kurt Angle & Booker T & Scott Steiner) + The World Elite (Eric Young & Sheik Abdul Bashir & Kiyoshi & The British Invasion & Homicide): Eric Young told Kurt Angle that he owes his men an apology because of last week. Angle said Young’s men should have known better than to get in his face. Young said if Angle apologizes it will be water under the bridge, but if he doesn’t then they were going to have a problem. Young said the World Elite needs the Main Event Mafia, but not as much as the Mafia needs the World Elite – because they are young and hungry. Booker T got in Young’s face, and Young told Booker that the leaders were talking. Young said he has a match with Morgan tonight, and suggested Angle watch close because he’d show him how to he should be handled. The World Elite left the room and Booker T said he tried to tell Angle not to trust them!

Christy Hemme defeated Traci Brooks: Some of you might disagree, but I think Christy Hemme is way hotter than Traci Brooks. Traci’s boobs are way too big for her body type and look way too fake. Her Playboy pics aren’t that great, but if you’re 18+ you can see them at – but I suggest you Google “Christy Hemme Playboy” and check out her pictures instead! Hemme proved that she is a better wrestler with a victory over Mafia member Brooks! Traci attacked Christy after the match in a fit of anger.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Abyss finally found Mick Foley backstage. Foley yelled “so you want a piece of the original?” and bashed Abyss with the barbed wire baseball bat! Abyss fought back and tossed Foley into a dumpster and TNA security pulled Abyss off and also held back Foley. Abyss broke loose and then had to be separated once again..

Mike Tenay & TNA World Heavyweight champion A.J. Styles & Sting: A.J. Styles said he has to know if he can beat Sting because he is the BEST. Sting talked about 23 years in the wrestling business and not knowing how many times he has been World champion (he should look at his OWW Profile. Styles said he doesn’t mean to be disrespectful, but the whole “passing the torch” thing can be taken two ways. Styles asked if Sting was honestly passing the torch or did he just not want it any more. Styles asked Sting if he was ready, because if he wasn’t ready maybe Sting shouldn’t wrestle. Sting stood up and said “I love you, man!” and walked off the set..

TNA Knockout champion ODB defeated Awesome Kong w/Raisha Saed: Tara (w/Poison) joined Mike Tenay and Taz on commentary and plugged her new t-shirt, which says “Tara Rizing.” Tara talked about her respect for Awesome Kong, and said she came to TNA to fight the best – and considered Awesome Kong one of the best. They even allowed Tara to talk about her online feud with MMA fighter Kim Couture. Raisha Saed came over and confronted Tara, who stood up and went after Saed. Kong grabbed Tara’s hair from inside the ring and ODB took advantage and rolled Kong up for the 1-2-3 to win the match! Tara got in the ring and congratulated ODB, who was not impressed with Tara interfering in her match! The Knockouts started bashing each other with punched until Kong came back and destroyed them both with a pair of Awesome-busters!

Kurt Angle vs. Hernandez ended in a Double Countout: This very competitive match got out of hand and both men were counted out. World Elite showed up and attacked both men, dragging them backstage. Homicide yelled at Hernandez and kicked him in the crotch. The World Elite then turned their attention to Kurt Angle, but the Main Event Mafia showed up and there was a huge melay!

So-Cal Val (sub for Lauren Brooke) & The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin): Chris Sabin said Mick Foley opened their eyes when he said they had the worst entrance music in the history of wrestling. Alex Shelley said they would have new entrance music next week and they would play it over a new highlight video too!

The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne) + Taylor Wilde & Sarita + Lacey Von Erich: The Beautiful People came out not acting like themselves (in other words, not acting like sluts during their entrance). Velvet said that due to contractual issues, Angelina Love was no longer apart of the Beautiful People. Velvet said she and Madison thought it was time to come clean with the TNA fans and the TNA Knockouts. Velvet said the truth was she and Madison have not been proud of their actions over the past year. Velvet said they were nasty, rude, and inconsiderate – adding that their behavior was largely due to Angelina. Madison took the mic and said Angelina turned them into monsters, and made them do things that they didn’t want to do. Madison said they were afraid to go against Angelina’s orders because it wasn’t worth the consequences. Madison said now that Angelina was gone, she and Velvet want to show everyone their true colors. Madison said they wanted to apologize for every heinus act that they committed in the past – and start fresh with a clean slate. Madison invited Taylor Wilde & Sarita out to the ring so they could apologize to them face-to-face and wish them luck with their match at Bound For Glory. TNA Knockout Tag Team champions, Taylor Wilde & Sarita, joined the Beautiful People in the ring. Velvet apologized to Taylor & Sarita and asked for forgiveness so they can have the best possible match at Bound for Glory. Taylor & Sarita reluctantly shook hands with the Beautiful People, but then turned their backs. The Beautiful People tried a sneak attack, but the champions wisely caught them! All four girls started to catfight until a new blonde (Lacey Von Erich) showed up and helped the Beautiful People destroy Taylor & Sarita. Lacey used the Von Erich Claw on Sarita. I’ll save my personal feelings for Lacey for another day.

So-Cal Val & Matt Morgan: So-Cal Val asked Matt Morgan how he will handle the feud between the World Elite and the Main Event Mafia. Morgan said he doesn’t care, promised to hurt Eric Young tonight, and looked forward to facing Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory. Morgan said Angle said awakened a sleeping giant and now he is pissed off!

So-Cal Val & The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne & Lacey Von Erich): So-Cal Val said the Beautiful People haven’t missed a beat. Velvet introduced the fans to wrestling royalty, Lacey Von Erich, the heiress to the von Erich throne. Velvet said Lacey will pick up right where Angelina left off, only this time the Beautiful People will be even more fabulous. Lacey delivered a speech and said she looked forward to taking the ugly out of TNA.

Matt Morgan vs. Eric Young ended in a No Contest: All night they showed a fan dressed as Abyss holding a chair that said “Abyss Use My Chair.” Well this fan reached over the rail and bashed Morgan with the chair, before taking off the mask and revealing Kurt Angle!! Scott Steiner & Samoa Joe hit the ring to attack Eric Young, and slow Kevin Nash & Booker T eventually joined them. The World Elite hit the ring and had a huge brawl with the Main Event Mafia! After the commercial, the brawl continued – including Kurt Angle putting the boots to Matt Morgan at ringside. Back from a second commercial, the brawl was still going on and tons of TNA security and office staff desperately tried to restore order!

Jeremy Borash & Bobby Lashley & Team 3-D (Brothers Ray & Devon): Hyped their match with Rhino and the British Invasion tonight.. Brother Ray had a raspy voice after having his throat bashed with a chair last week at the hands of the British Invasion..

Bobby Lashley & Team 3-D (Brothers Ray & Devon) defeated Rhino & The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Doug Williams w/Rob Terry): Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm) joined Mike Tenay & Taz on commentary and even shared their beers with them. After the match, there was a lengthy celebration with Beer Money sharing beers with Team 3-D. Bobby Lashley circled the ring slapping hands with fans, but he was attacked from behind by Samoa Joe, who put Lashley into the Rear Naked Choke as the show went off the air!
