TNA IMPACT 12 17 2009

Location: Orlando, Florida (Universal Studios)
Date: December 17, 2009 (Taped: December 8)

Jeremy Borash & Mick Foley + Kevin Nash + World Elite: Mick Foley was storming around backstage looking for Kevin Nash, as Jeremy Borash tried to talk sense into him saying “Hulk is not going to like this!” Foley was upset that Nash set up a bogus meeting with “Hulk” just so he could be in charge of iMPACT for one week. Foley went into an empty iMPACT Zone and attacked Nash. The entire World Elite faction did their best to pull Foley off of Nash and diffuse the situation.

RECAP (LAST WEEK): Mick Foley goes to Nashville to ask Jeff Jarrett to return to iMPACT..

Lauren Brooke & Roxxi: Roxxi said she has taken some time off from TNA to sharpen her wrestling skills and enter some fitness competitions. Roxxi said ODB was ‘almost’ as unique as her, but she is the TNA Knockout champion. Roxxi said ODB is someone all of the girls can look up to, but tonight she’s going to bring everything she has in the hopes of getting a win..

Jeremy Borash & Kurt Angle: Kurt Angle said he feels great and wants TNA to throw everything at him because it’s the fastest way to the top. Angle said he hasn’t lost a match since September, and told A.J. Styles to remember that! Angle said his job won’t be done until he regains his TNA World title. Angle said Desmond Wolfe isn’t going to put a blemish on his record at Final Resolution. Jeremy Borash asked Angle for his thoughts on Jeff Jarrett arriving at the iMPACT Zone tonight. Angle just turned his back and offered no comments..

Roxxi defeated TNA Knockout champion ODB: Roxxi has dropped all the Gothy/Dark aspects of her gimmick and is basically using her Nikki Roxx gimmick now. After the match, ODB attacked Roxxi during her celebration until Tara ran down to make the save!

Jeremy Borash & Mick Foley: Jeremy Borash & Mick Foley went to Los Angeles to meet with “Hulk” – he thought it would be Hulk Hogan. Foley was greeted by Lou Ferrigno, the guy who played “The Incredible Hulk” on TV. Foley got upset that Kevin Nash wasted him time by sending him to a bogus meeting!

Jeremy Borash & Kevin Nash: A furious Kevin Nash said Mick Foley just made the biggest mistake of his life! Nash said Foley signed his death warrant. Nash said whatever authority Foley has, he better use it now! Nash said January 4th live on iMPACT Hulk Hogan will be there and Foley will be unemployed!

Jeremy Borash & Mick Foley: Mick Foley said maybe Kevin Nash played him for a fool last week, and claims to be the smartest man in wrestling, but he is pretty smart too. Foley said he has had a lot of problems with Jeff Jarrett in the past but now they have a lot in common. Abyss limped into the office with his burnt leg and yelled at Foley for ignoring him and focusing on Hulk Hogan. Foley said he hasn’t forgotten what Dr. Stevie & Raven did to his eye, and hasn’t forgotten what they did to Abyss’s leg. Foley said he was off trying to do what he thought was best for the company last week. Foley said he will watch Abyss’ back, and wanted to know if Abyss would be watching his. Abyss confirmed that he had Foley’s back, and added that Stevie & Raven would be DONE at Final Resolution..

NOTE: 40:00 into the show and we’ve had 1 match lasting less than 3:00

Brother Ray (w/Brother Devon & Rhino & Jesse Neal) defeated Matt Morgan (w/Hernandez & Pope D’Angelo Dinero & SUICIDE): Jesse Neal was carrying Brother Ray’s IWGP Tag Team title. SUICIDE came out about 10 seconds after the rest of his team, but I’m not sure if that means anything. The six corner men acted as Lumberjacks, but really they should have brought out some additional extras to make it more real. Eventually the six outside guys started brawling while Jesse Neal slipped in and low-blowed Matt Morgan, allowing Brother Ray to scored the victory! This match lasted about four minutes…

HYPE: Hulk Hogan coming to TNA iMPACT on January 4th!

Beer Money said it could be there chance to get another title shot at the British Invasion, or it could meat the end of Beer Money. Samoa Joe came in and said he was also putting his career on the line for a title shot which nobody wants him to give him. Joe said unlike Beer Money, he actually deserves his title shot. They all started to argue until Eric Young came in with the rest of World Elite. Young said there would be some new entrants in the Feast or Fired match; Kiyoshi, Bashir, Homicide, Big Rob Terry, and Kevin Nash! Young said they would be in the match to make sure Beer Money never gets another title shot again..

Awesome Kong & HAMADA defeated TNA Knockout Tag Team champions Sarita & Taylor Wilde and The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne & Lacey Von Erich): After the match, Lauren Brooke tried to get an interview with the Beautiful People. Lacey told Lauren “why don’t you go find a back seat to crawl into you skank!” so Lauren hauled off and slapped Lacey across the face!

Mick Foley & Jeff Jarrett: Jeff Jarrett was having second thoughts and asked Mick Foley why he was wasting his time! Jarrett yelled about Dixie Carter sending him home 5 months ago when he didn’t do anything wrong. Foley said a lot of people thought what Jarrett did was wrong, but they can’t change the past. Foley said Jarrett could walk into Dixie’s office and be proud, and after yelling at her, feel like a man – but what does that do for anybody. Foley said he needs Jarrett to keep his finger on the pulse of TNA, and deep down the people here respect him. Jarrett said the only reason he was doing this was so he can feed his three daughters. Foley said Jarrett was the only man who can make this happen for all of them. Jarrett thought about it and agreed to do the right thing..

Dixie asked what Jarrett wanted to talk about. Jarrett said he wanted to talk about returning to the company he founded. Dixie said she had to be clear about the past, pointing out that Jarrett put the company in a difficult position. Dixie talked about meeting with Jarrett years ago, he made her a lot of promises about TNA, you ending up with “his wife and children” was not one of them. Dixie said she gave Jarrett what she thought was his best option, in the hopes that time would heal this mess. Jarrett said from the bottom of his heart that he was sorry if he disrespected Dixie and sorry for everything. Dixie said at this point the time wasn’t right, but if Jarrett thinks the time is right he has to go face Kurt. Jarrett said he will take full responsibility for his actions, and thanked Dixie for her advise.. – Editor’s Note: WOW!

They cut backstage to show the Steiner/Lashley brawl, as well as the fight between Abyss and Raven & Stevie. . . After the match, Kurt Angle picked up the TNA World title and had a confrontation with champion A.J. Styles. Suddenly Desmond Wolfe attacked Kurt Angle and Christopher Daniels attacked A.J. Styles!
