BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Kurt Angle was on the phone thanking Hulk Hogan for their support and promising to win the TNA title at Bound For Glory. Angle said the cage match with Abyss tonight is taken care of. Angle told Hogan to take care of his back and said “love you buddy, take care!”

IN THE RING
Kurt Angle + “The Monster” Abyss: Kurt Angle told Hulk Hogan publicly to get well soon and said the iMPACT Zone misses him. The crowd erupted in chants of “Hogan! Hogan!” Angle thanked Hulk for having confidence in him, then talked about his triple threat match with Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy. Angle said both of them are great competitors but at Bound For Glory the TNA title will be his. Angle promised Hogan not to let him down tonight against Abyss. Angle said Abyss has caused way too much damage in TNA lately; first RVD, and then Jeff Hardy. Angle said Abyss has been warning everyone about 10.10.10, but Angle is warning Abyss about 09.30.10 (tonight!) because they have a scheduled cage match. Abyss snuck up behind Angle and they started to brawl around the iMPACT Zone. They brawled backstage, where Abyss pushed some junk over onto Angle. Angle fought back and punched Abyss in the head a dozen times or so. Angle choked out Abyss and said he was a completely different animal than RVD & Hardy. Abyss hit a low-blow on Angle and took control again. Abyss started to walk away but Angle gave him a low-blow. Suddenly TNA security showed up and broke up the chaos. After the commercial, Abyss and Angle were still trying to get at each other as backstage personel tried to keep them apart.

TAG TEAM MATCH
EV2.0 (Tommy Dreamer & Rhino) defeated Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm): Beer Money came out with Ric Flair & Fortune (AJ Styles & Kazarian & Matt Morgan & Douglas Williams), who will act as lumberjacks, along with other members of EV2.0 (Mick Foley & Sabu & Stevie Richards & Raven & Brian Kendrick). Late in the match, the Lumberjacks all started fighting at ringside. Inside the ring, Tommy Dreamer managed to score the victory for EV2.0! After the match, Sabu did a suicide dive and took out EVERYBODY! Mick Foley took the mic and said “that’s enough, I don’t want to see any more fighting!” Foley said he only wanted to see two people in the ring, and invited Ric Flair to come in so they can resolve their differences.

IN THE RING
Mick Foley & Ric Flair: Ric Flair asked if Mick Foley wanted to talk to the WRESTLING GOD? Foley said he wanted to talk to Ric Flair the MAN! Foley said you got him what do you want to talk about A$$hole? Foley said he wanted to talk about 10.07.10, because he talked to Dixie Carter and they agreed that it was time for them to resolve their differences live on SpikeTV. Foley challenged Flair to go 1-on-1 with him live on next week’s iMPACT for the very last time. Flair asked if Foley wanted to wrestle him LIVE? Flair took Foley’s book and dropped it, and then stomped it and dropped the knee on it (classic Flair). Flair said the answer was YES and asked how Foley was going to get out of it? Foley went on a rant about loving professional wrestling again. Foley said he needs Flair to bring the best out of him. Flair that’s what he does for a living! Flair and Foley started punching themselves in the head to draw blood. They nearly came to blows but didn’t, agreeing to meet in the ring next week! Flaid said he would have his family at ringside to watch him take out Flair. Flair said even Tommy Dreamer admitted that he was HARDCORE. Foley said Flair hasn’t been able to speak his mind until he came to TNA and pointed out that Flair has been renewed since coming to TNA. Flair said he liked that Foley found his BALLS. Foley said he doesn’t like Flair, but he doesn’t hate him. Foley said he hasn’t walked alone in a while and that is why he wants to face Flair next week in a Last Man Standing match. Flair said “you got it!” adding that if he loses to Foley he will kiss Foley’s ass on live TV! Flair started going nuts in the ring and Foley did his “bang bang!” thing.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Mr. Anderson asked Eric Bischoff why Hulk Hogan has been calling Kurt Angle but not him. Bischoff said it’s just that Hogan and Angle have a lot more in common, so not to take it personally. Bischoff said Anderson can go out and face Samoa Joe so that he can prove to the world that he can carry the company too. Anderson said he was the sure bet, and he was also the sure bet to win the $10,000 Battle Royal next week.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Generation Me (Max & Jeromy Buck) defeated Ink Inc. (Shannon Moore & Jesse Neal): Generation Me came out with the tag team title belt which they stole from the Motor City Machine Guns. After the match, Generation Me kept attacking Ink Inc until Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley made the save and took back their tag team belt.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Samoa Joe said he was thankful to be going up against Mr. Anderson tonight, because he is a top contender and when he beats him he will be in line for a title shot – and then he will be TNA Champion again.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: The Motor City Machine Guns cut a promo on Generation Me, giving them a title shot at Bound For Glory – but their revenge starts next week on iMPACT and revenge is sweet!

SINGLES MATCH
Mr. Anderson defeated Samoa Joe: Before the match, the Pope came out and joined Mike Tenay & Taz on commentary – and they were joined by Sting & Kevin Nash. The Pope asked Taz who was the man with the big black bat, and he said Sting. The Pope said to ask Miss Tessmacher cause she’ll say it’s The Pope! The Pope continued to complain about what was going on in TNA on bahalf of Sting & Nash.

POST MATCH SEGMENT
Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash + Sting & The Pope + Eric Bischoff: Kevin Nash grabbed Sting’s back and said he would try one last time to talk some sense into Joe. Nash yelled at Joe that it was his last chance to join them. After the commercial, Joe was gone and Nash, Sting, and the Pope were in the ring. Nash said bad things happen to bad people, and it was amazing that Hulk Hogan was in a hospital right now. Nash said the rest of the roster has been duped by Hogan/Bischoff, but the three guys in the ring know exactly what is going on. The Pope said that Sting & Nash have been around the block a few times and they are two wolves that know how to run their own pack. The Pope called Eric Bischoff liar and a no good son of a bischoff (not a typo). The Pope said in this game, Hogan & Bischoff are coming out on the losing end. Sting said it all started between he and Hogan a long time ago back in WCW. Sting asked if the fans came to see the good guys or the bad guys (they were louder for the bad guys). Sting wondered who was wearing the white hats and who wore the black hats. Sting proposed a six man tag at Bound For Glory with Jeff Jarrett, Samoa Joe, and Hulk Hogan. Eric Bischoff came out with Miss Tessmacher on his arm, but said what was going on in the ring was disgusting. Bischoff said the three guys in the ring are showing their true colors. Bischoff said he sees two guys, Nash & Sting, whose better days are behind them. Bischoff said the Pope still had a lot to learn. Bischoff talked about his experiences with Sting & Nash in WCW. Bischoff said The Pope has been losing lately and now he thinks there is some kind of conspiracy – but the only conspiracy is the one in his head! Bischoff said Angle, Anderson, and Hardy are looking forward to Bound For Glory. Bischoff called the three guys cowards for challenging a guy who is in the hospital right now. Bischoff said Hulk Hogan would be on the live iMPACT next week to answer the challenge himself.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: A.J. Styles (w/Ric Flair) cut a promo on Brian Kendrick and said he was willing to put up his TV title. Styles then ribbed Flair and made him drink a bottle of “ICE”.

VIDEO PACKAGE: They showed video footage of Amazing Red winning the X-Division title at a live event, and then Jay Lethal winning it back at another live event.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Miss Tessmacher & Madison Rayne & Tara + Angelina Love & Velvet Sky & Lacey Von Erich: Miss Tessmacher oversaw a meeting with all of the former Beautiful People. Madison produced a waiver that would allow Tara to back into the ring. This was the first strong thing Tessmacher has done since she was hired. Tessmacher said Eric Bischoff booked a fourway at Bound For Glory for the TNA Knockout title. They started screeching at each other and securty had to intervene. Tessmacher ordered everyone out of the office and she got a phone call. She told whoeever was on the phone that she would meet them in 20 minutes, then hung up and licked her lips.

TNA TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
A.J. Styles w/Ric Flair defeated Brian Kendrick to retain the TNA Television title: Brian Kendrick came out dressed in a white robe just because he has been acting nutty lately. Ric Flair did not come out with A.J. Styles, but he instead showed up at the commentary position to hype his showdown with Mick Foley next week! Flair then went to ringside to route for his protege. Midway through the match, Matt Morgan came out but Kendrick took him out! Moments later, Kendrick went to the top rope, but Flair distracted the referee so that Morgan could knock Kendrick off. Styles nailed Kendrick with the Styles-clash and got the victory to keep the title!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Abyss cut a promo on Kurt Angle and challenged Rob Van Dam to enter the $10,000 Battle Royal next week!

ON LOCATION (LOS ANGELES): Rob Van Dam said it was out of his hands; it was in the hands of the doctors and the universe. RVD said he will return to TNA to take on Abyss on 10.10.10!

STEEL CAGE GRUDGE MATCH
Kurt Angle vs. “The Monster” Abyss ended in a No Contest: Midway through the match, Kurt Angle was sliced open and the blood poured out of his forehead in a puddle. A few minutes later, Angle climbed to the top of the cage to do his moonsault but the show went off the air! Thankfully, they do an hour of ReAction right after so they continued the match in the third hour. That’s a cheap but effective way of making people watch ReAction. Abyss hit the referee into the cage and Angle lost his balance and fell down. Abyss choke-slammed Angle, but the referee was knocked down. Mr. Anderson showed up and climbed over the walls to get into the cage and fight with Abyss. Abyss turned the tables by ramming Anderson into the cage and then planting him with a Black Hole Slam! Abyss tried to get out of the cage but the door was locked, so he ripped the door off of its hinges and walked out to get his hands on Janice (a 2X4 with spikes in it). Angle caught Abyss and knocked him off the ring apron. Angle took posession of Janice and the segment ended.
