Matt Hardy & Ethan Carter III Face To Face Segment:

Josh Mathews asks Matt Hardy & EC3 what does it prove that both men advance to the round of 16 in the TNA World Title Series? Hardy says it’s proves to him that he’s ready, he’s on the road to regaining the TNA World Heavyweight Title. Hardy brings up the fact that he had a clean sweep in his group matches. He called the group “Tag Team Specialist” the most technically sound group out all of the groups in this TNA World Title Series. Hardy says that Robbie E is doing the best work of his career, The Wolves are two of the best wrestlers in the world and are the current TNA World Tag Team Champions and all three men fell to the Matt Hardy Formula (Bell, Wrestle, Twist of Fate and Win). This process will continue until Matt Hardy gets back the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

EC3 says that he doesn’t understand why he has to share the same screen with Matt Hardy. He’s lucky there’s a dividing line on this television screen because if either of them were in the same room neither of them would walk out. EC3 gives props to Hardy moving on from group tag team specialist, but says that if Hardy was a true champion he would be in EC3’s group champions. He calls Hardy a facade and a loser. This proves that EC3 is what he says he is and that is a winner and this TNA World Title Series will not be over until he recaptures the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. The Pope asks both men who would they like to face in the round of 16? Hardy says that there’s only one man that he has to face and that’s EC3 and when that match happens there will be no controversy, no shenanigans, no Jeff Hardy. Hardy says that he took the title away from EC3 before and he will do it again. EC3 says that the only thing that’s worst then looking at Matt Hardy’s face is listening to his dumb voice. EC3 says that he will get his vengeance. Both men get into argument about who’s the favorite heading into the Round of 16. EC3 says that he’s face of this organization and storms out of the interview.

Eric Young Promo:

Young says that this will be James Storms last chance. The best thing for Storm to do is to not show up. Tonight is not a goodnight to be mess with Young. Young says that if Storms comes to the ring tonight he will get hurt. He told Storm not to come, so cross him and see what happens. Young calls Storm a shadow of his former self and there was a time that he would be scared to get into the ring with him. Storm is nothing. Young is a world class athlete, man and maniac.

Matt Hardy Interview:

Hardy says this thing between EC3 and himself has gotten extremely personal. EC3 has disrespected his entire family, and there’s nothing he likes better than taking haters like EC3 and jamming his words back down his throat. He did that when he took the TNA World Title at Bound For Glory, and he knows that night dogs EC3 every day and night. EC3 wonders if Matt Hardy is the guy, and Matt assures him that he is the guy who will win their feud and take the TNA World Title. Matt swept his group, but now he can’t allow any losses going forward, and he gave up the title knowing he could regain it.

Hardy wanted to set an example for his son and everyone else when he handed that title back, and he is more confident than ever, and if he has to win seven matches straight to prove he is the best wrestler in the world, that’s what he’s going to do. He’s going to win the title because nobody can stop him, and when Josh asks him to pick a winner between Roode and Abyss, and Matt says he has to go with Roode because he’s the cornerstone of Impact Wrestling. He’d love to face Roode at some point in the tournament, and if he’s up to beating Bobby Roode, he knows he can beat anyone.

Fourth Match: Group Wildcard’s Aiden O’Shea vs. Mahabali Shera in a TNA World Title Series Match

Shera plays mind games with O’Shea by stalling and O’Shea has enough and pummels Shera. O’Shea yells at Shera and slaps him around, but Shera slams him off the top rope, hits another big slam. Shera with the Sky High to pick up the victory.

Winner: Mahabali Shera + 3 Points (Aiden O’Shea Officially Eliminated)

Eric Young Backstage Promo:

Young said that people have told him he can’t for his entire life, but he’s been winning and proving them wrong. He has the eyes of a winner, a man who advanced in the tournament, and he’s never going to stop winning and taking as long as he draws breath.

Fifth Match: Group Future Four’s Eli Drake vs. Crimson in a TNA World Title Series Match

Drake gets the advantage going after Crimson’s shoulder. Crimson starts to mount a comeback. Drake goes back to the shoulder, hitting a shoulder breaker and locking Crimson in a top wristlock to force the tap out.

Winner: Eli Drake via Submission + 3 Points (Crimson Officially Eliminated)

Ethan Carter III Interview:

EC3 asks Mathews how he’d feel if the thing most important in the world to him was taken away. He wasn’t wrestling tomato cans, he’s been going through the best there is. He’s not okay, but he will be when he beats Matt Hardy and kicks his ass out of the World Title Series. Mathews asks EC3 if he’s obsessed with Matt Hardy. EC3 laughs it off and says of course he’s taking it personally, but he’s not obsessed with Matt Hardy.

EC3 is obsessed with beating him, making sure he never wrestles again, and getting this blemish off his record forever. Josh asks EC3 who he thinks will win between Aries and Lashley next week, and EC3 isn’t impressed with either of them. Whoever the winner is will join him in the round of 16, but EC3 says he’s going to go through each round before his possession comes back to him.

Sixth Match: Group TNA Original’s Bobby Roode vs. Abyss in a TNA World Title Series Match
