Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga ended in a Double Countout: Umaga gave Jeff Hardy a vicious swinging Sidewalk-slam on the ringside floor just before they were counted out. Jeff Hardy received medical attention immediately following the match.

Chris Jericho & Batista: Batista told Chris Jericho to not get in the way of him getting his hands on Shawn Michaels at One Night Stand. Batista said that Michaels beat the hell out of Jericho last night and he (Jericho) is in no condition to fight tonight.

“General Manager/King of the Ring” William Regal + Mr. Kennedy + Vince McMahon: William Regal said Jeff Hardy will face Umaga at One Night Stand in a Falls Count Anywhere match. King Regal informed Randy Orton and John Bradshaw Layfield (on screen) that they will face Triple H and John Cena tonight. Regal said that if Orton and JBL win, they will get rematches at One Night Stand and earn the right to pick the stipulations. But if HHH and Cena win then they will face each other at One Night Stand for the WWE championship in an Extreme Rules match. Mr. Kennedy hit the ring and once again challenged William Regal to a 1-on-1 match tonight. Regal said he doesn’t take orders from anyone, and the next person to interrupt him will be fired on the spot! Vince McMahon showed up and told Mr. Kennedy to shut up. McMahon said they have received more viewer complaints than ever in the history of the WWE. McMahon said what he does care about is ratings, and said when Regal comes on the air, the ratings go down. McMahon said he wants Mr. Kennedy gone, and the fans want Regal gone, so they will wrestle tonight and the loser of the match will be gone… as in FIRED!
DIVAS MATCH
“The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix defeated Maria Kanellis: Melina Perez came out and did the splits on the announce table in front of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler and then sat down to provide commentary for the match. ….. After the match, Melina attacked Beth Phoenix from behind as she exited but Phoenix violently slammed Melina on the ramp!

Mickie James & Katie Lea Burchill: Katie Lea Burchill said she would be Women’s champion soon and she would carry the title with more class than Mickie. Katie Lea accused Mickie of sleeping her way to the top, by going out on the town with John Cena after RAW last week.

WINNER FACES HBK AT ONE NIGHT STAND MATCH
“The Animal” Batista defeated Chris Jericho: The winner of this match will face Shawn Michaels in a Stretcher Match at One Night Stand on June 1st. Both wrestlers tried playing mind games by faking leg injuries early in the match. Jericho fought hard, but Batista countered the Code-breaker into a Batista-bomb. Batista continued to sell the knee injury after the match. Shawn Michaels walked out to the stage and looked down at the ring where Batista was burning a hole through Michaels with his eyes!

Vince McMahon & William Regal + Ted DiBiase: Vince McMahon told William Regal that there were reasons behind everything. “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase showed up and McMahon asked to use Regal’s office for a meeting to talk about “money.”

Santino Marella (dressed as Roddy The Piper) + Cousin Sal + Rowdy Roddy Piper: Santino Marella came out wearing a kilt, a Hot Rod shirt with a pillow stuffed in it to make him look fat. Santino showed clips of Roddy Piper humiliating him on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show this past week. Santino called out Jimmy Kimmel’s “Cousin Sal” – who came out also wearing a Hot Rod t-shirt. Santino asked Cousin Sal why he idolized Rowdy Roddy Piper. Cousin Sal said that Roddy Piper backs up everything he said whereas Santino hasn’t done anything that comes out of his mouth. Cousin Sal said Santino was “hung like a 4th Grader” and Ron Simmons came up on the big screen and yelled “Damn!” – Santino brought out an “I’m sorry” cake and demanded that Cousin Sal apologize or he would smash the cake in his face. Roddy Piper showed up from behind and Cousin Sal flipped the cake onto Santino! Santino then challenged Cousin Sal to a match, and Roddy Piper accepted on his behalf – even though Sal didn’t look too sure about his first wrestling match!
LOSER GETS FIRED MATCH
Mr. Kennedy defeated William Regal: Right in the middle of the match, William Regal said he was still General Manager, and used his power to change the match to a No-Disqualification match! Regal got the brass knux and went after Mr. Kennedy, but Kennedy kicked Regal in the gut and nailed a Gut Check for the win! William Regal is FIRED! The crowd sang “Nah nah nah nah hey hey good bye” and “USA! USA!” at William Regal during his departure. Regal backed up the ramp with a dazed look on his face. Where are they going with this? Say it ain’t so!

William Regal & Theodore Long: William Regal was desperately knocking on his former office door wanting to protest his firing with Mr. McMahon. Suddenly the door opened and Regal’s face turned to utter shock as former SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long came out and slapped Regal on the shoulder, “What’s up, Playah?”

Todd Grisham & WWE Champion Triple H: Triple H said he and John Cena aren’t friends but that doesn’t matter because Randy Orton and JBL aren’t friends either. Triple H said that he beat Orton last night and Cena beat JBL so the match so they will win tonight (well we know who will win now, don’t we?)
MAIN EVENT
Randy Orton & John Bradshaw Layfield defeated WWE Champion Triple H & John Cena: Late in the match, Randy Orton went to kick Triple H in the head, but missed and luckily connected with John Cena instead! JBL covered John Cena for the win. Orton and JBL get their rematches with HHH and Cena at One Night Stand and they will get to chose the stipulations! After the match, Triple H tried to Pedigree Orton, but JBL clotheslined him and Orton began punching the crap out of HHH. JBL picked up HHH and Orton gave him a final RKO! JBL told Cena (and the World) that their match would be “First Blood.” Orton said he would take back his WWE title the same way he won it in the first place – in a Last Man Standing match!
