May 4, 2009 – Buffalo, New York Announcers: Michael Cole & Jerry “The King” Lawler
SUPER GRUDGE MATCH Randy Orton vs. Shane McMahon ended in a No Contest: Randy Orton came out first, but then when Shane was introduced, he attacked Orton from behind after running through the crowd. The brawled around the arena for a while until Legacy (Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase) ran out and helped beat down Shane. Montel Vontavious Porter hit the ring to help Shane but he got beat down too. They went back to destroying Shane until Batista ran out and cleared the heels out of the ring. General Manager Vickie Guerrero came out and booked MVP vs. Rhodes and Batista vs. DiBiase – the winners will be legally able to join in the Shane vs. Orton main event..
SINGLES MATCH Kofi Kingston defeated Matt Hardy: Matt Hardy still has a broken hand, and is wrestling with a cast on his arm like “Cowboy” Bob Orton (except more of a crybaby). Matt said he was being forced to wrestle in pain, and said he was wrestling under protest. After the match, Matt knocked Kingston out cold with a shot from the cast! Jerry Lawler yelled, “that must have hurt Matt!”
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT Santino Marella & Kelly Kelly + Chavo Guerrero: Santino Marella said Kelly will have so much fun tag teaming with his sister, Santina, this week on WWE Superstars. Santino said his sister was not here tonight because last week she was breathed on by Vickie Guerrero and now she has the swine flu, and that’s funny because Vickie is pig-like. Chavo Guerrero showed up and excused Kelly, and asked if Santino was making fun of his aunt Vickie. Santino said they weren’t related, and Chavo was actually older than Vickie. Chavo said if Santino wanted to make it on RAW, he better not make fun of him or anybody in his family. Santino told Chavo to give Vickie a message and started squeeling like a pig!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT Vickie Guerrero & The Big Show: The Big Show said he wants a match with John Cena tonight so he can end his career. Vickie said Cena has internal injuries and the doctors won’t clear him for two weeks. Vickie did book the match at Judgment Day so Big Show can let out all his frustrations..
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT Montel Vontavious Porter + The Bella Twins: The Bella Twins swooned over Montel Vontavious Porter and asked him about being a guest on the View. The Bellas asked MVP is he wanted to hang out tonight, and he said after he wins his match. When MVP was walking away he remarked, “I think I’m gonna like it here!”
NON (UNITED STATES) TITLE MATCH Cody Rhodes defeated WWE United States champion Montel Vontavious Porter by Countout: William Regal joined Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler on commentary and complained about the opening video package of the show. Regal pointed out that all the recent draft picks are in the video, and even the injured Mr. Kennedy, but he was left off! Late in the match, Regal clipped MVP’s leg and caused him to get counted out of the ring. Rhodes earned the right to join Orton against Shane later tonight..
IN THE RING Jerry “The King” Lawler + Jillian Hall & Festus: Jerry Lawler mentioned the Brooklyn Breakdown Dance-off between Layla El and Eve Torres on SmackDown!, and said they would do them one better on RAW with a Sing-off between Jillian Hall and Festus. Jillian sang first and made the crowd cover their ears with her rendition of what I think was “Womanizer” by Britney Spears. Lawler then called for Festus to sing, but he just stood there with that dumb look on his face. Lawler put the microphone up to Festus’ mouth and asked for the bell to be rung. Festus hulked up and started singing “The sun will come up, tomorrow! tomorrow!” The fans votes for Festus and Jillian took a fit asking for one more chance.
IN THE RING Mike “The Miz” Mizanin + John Cena + The Big Show: Mike “The Miz” Mizanin came out and kicked Festus out of the ring! His arm-band said “Miz 1 – Cena 0” – The Miz said last week he called out John Cena and Cena failed to come to the ring. The Miz said that means Cena is afraid of him. The Miz continued to insult Cena and issued another challenge for TONIGHT! Knowing Cena was still injured. Cena came up on the big screen and started walking towards the ring…. COMMERCIAL BREAK! The Miz was still alone in the ring, bragging that Cena was still afraid of him. The Miz said Cena was created by the WWE machine for the kids and their cougar mothers. The Miz said he was the most talanted wrestler on RAW and continued to aggresively call out John Cena. The Miz said the record will show that the he called out Cena and he beat Cena for the second straight week. The Miz 2, and Cena 0. The Miz asked Lilian Garcia to declare him the winner, and called her worthless when she didn’t. Suddenly, John Cena did limp out and cautiously entered the ring. Before he could lock up with the Miz, the Big Show walked to the ring. Cena and Big Show looked at each other for a few moments before Show kicked Cena in the guts! Big Show continued with a methodical assault on Cena. Big Show put Cena in the Camel-clutch until Cena passed out!
NON (DIVAS) TITLE MATCH Mickie James defeated Divas champion Maryse Ouellet: Jared (from Subway commercials) was the special guest ring announcer.
SINGLES MATCH Ted DiBiase Jr. defeated Batista by DQ: Batista got a little carried away with his aggressive offense, and the referee disqualified him. Ted DiBiase earned the right to join Randy Orton against Shane McMahon in the main event. That means it will be all three members of Legacy against Shane-O-Mac!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT Vickie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero: Chavo said that Santino’s jokes don’t even make sense, but he will take care of Santino. Chavo started kissing Vickie’s ass saying she is great at her job. Chavo suggested Vickie take away MVP’s title, and take away Batista’s title match at Judgment Day. Chavo said he was going to let the people know Vickie’s decision right now!
SINGLES MATCH Carlito Colon defeated Brian Kendrick: Primo Colon came out with Carlito, but went backstage so it would be an even playing field.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Batista apologized profusely for getting carried away and letting Shane McMahon down. Batista said he would make it up to Shane by taking the WWE championship away from Orton at Judgment Day..
HANDICAP MATCH Shane McMahon vs. Legacy (Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr.) ended in a No Contest: Legacy mostly dominated the match, but Shane made brief come-backs and was described as “a man possessed” by the commentators. Shane laid out Orton on the announce table and climbed to the top rope. Shane took a leap of faith off the top, but Orton moved and Shane crashed though the announce table HARD!! Legacy held Shane down while Orton smashed his ankle with a steel chair on the ring steps! They put Shane’s leg on the bottom steps and Orton bashed it with the top part of the metal ring steps! Shane screamed in agony. Finally Batista showed up and Legacy escaped via the opposite side of the ring. Batista was frustrated that he couldn’t help Shane more. Orton told Batista that his Judgment Day is coming. Shane was stretchered out by a team of EMT’s.
