Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero + Kofi Kingston + Jack Swagger + General Manager Theodore Long: Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero came out embracing each other and Dolph was consoling her. Vickie said she was there to file a complaint against John Cena. Vickie said Cena tried to give her an Attitude Adjustment last week. Vickie said she does not have an attitude and it doesn’t need to be adjusted. Vickie showed a clip of Cena lifting her up on his shoulders, and said because of it she suffers from a serious case of vertigo. Vickie said she was not allowed to be above 2 1/2 feet above the ground. Dolph explained that vertigo was a sensation of dizziness and severely defected balance. Vickie said every day when she stands up the room spins uncontrollably. Vickie said she did research and over 1000 people suffer from it every year. Vickie said she knows not everybody likes her but she expexts them to show her some human compassion. Kofi Kingston finally interrupted the nonsense. Kofi showed a video from TLC of Vickie climbing a ladder to protect Dolph’s title. Dolph claimed the video was doctored. Kofi also put into question the finish of that match. Vickie said Kofi lost and should get over it. Jack Swagger came out and said for the first time in his life Kofi Kingston is right about something. Swagger showed a video of the ladder match at TLC were the belt dropped and Dolph grabbed it to win in cheap fashion. Dolph said they were just jealous because he was the Intercontinental champion and they aren’t. Dolph said he could have beaten both guys but it doesn’t matter because he’s the champion. Kofi said Dolph doesn’t deserve to be champion. Kofi said he deserves a rematch. Swagger said he deserves a rematch first! Dolph said they were the special guests of honor at Teddy Long’s New Year’s Eve party tonight. Dolph tried to sucker punch Kofi but he stopped it. Kofi ended up tossing both Swagger & Ziggler over the top rope. Theodore Long came out and said they weren’t the only ones upset about the finish of the ladder match. Long said they were all invited to his New Year’s Eve party. Long also booked a triple threat rematch (no ladder) tonight!
GRUDGE MATCH
The Big Show defeated Cody Rhodes by intentional countout: Big Show chopped the crap out of Cody’s chest until he jumped out of the ring and walked backstage getting himself intentionally disqualified – but lived to fight another day!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT (NEW YEARS PARTY): NXT’s Conor O’Brian was hitting on Rosa Mendes (who was with Hornswoggle). Alberto showed up and apologized, then told Conor not to bother the lady. Theodore Long invited anybody to come up and announce their New Year’s resolutions. Drew stood up and said in 2011 he will become champion, and second he plans to be a better person (he said this while looking at Kelly Kelly). A drunk Chavo Guerrero got up and said all of the so-called Superstars are a bunch of ignorant self-centered jerks. Long told him he was drinking non-alcoholic champaign. Chavo turned around and got some ugly looks from some of the roster.
SINGLES MATCH
Drew McIntyre defeated Trent Barreta by referee stoppage: I expected another squash match but Trent actually did quite well for himself – that is until he dove over the top rope and landed flat on his back on the ground. The referee called for the bell and called the match off. Gotta give Barreta some credit on that one. Hopefully he isn’t really hurt. Drew picked him up and gave him the Future Shock on the floor after the match!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT (NEW YEARS PARTY): Chavo Guerrero was hugging it out with the Soaring Eagle. Theodore Long said he wanted to announce HIS resolutions now. Michelle McCool & Layla El came in and claimed they did not lose their Tables match at TLC. They said they were too skinny to break the table, and said it was Natalya who broke the table. Beth Phoenix & Natalya Neidhart stepped up and wanted LayCool to repeat what they just said. They all started screaming at each other until Theodore Long cut them off and booked a tag team rematch tonight!
TAG TEAM MEGA-MATCH
World Heavyweight champion Edge & Rey Mysterio defeated Alberto Del Rio & Kane:
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT (NEW YEARS PARTY): Chavo Guerrero was flirting with Kaitlyn, trying to inhale helium and talk funny but there was no helium in the baloons. Chavo stormed off and Hornswoggle left with Kaitlyn (Hornswoggle was doing the chest-pec dance with Chris Masters). Big Show was talking to Kelly saying she can make her own decisions but be careful with Drew (McIntyre). Cody Rhodes got up and asked how the face of SmackDown! was supposed to go into 2011 when Big Show was trying to break his nose. Theodore Long got up and begged for no fighting at his party this year. Long booked Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio in a 2/3 Falls match and Edge vs. Kane in a Last Man Standing match for next week!
WWE DIVAS TAG TEAM REMATCH
Natalya Neidhart & Beth Phoenix defeated LayCool (Michelle McCool & Layla El):
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT (NEW YEARS PARTY): Food fight with Chavo Guerrero getting buried in food!
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero defeated Kofi Kingston and Jack Swagger to retain the WWE Intercontinental title: After a long match, Kofi Kingston had the match won, by pinning Jack Swagger, but Vickie Guerrero put Swagger’s leg on the bottom rope. Kofi knocked out Swagger with a spin-kick, but Dolph jumped in and rolled up Kofi for the 1-2-3 to win another cheap victory!
