WWE SmackDown kicks off with clips of last week’s show. We see Adam Pearce announcing that the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania will be a triple threat match.
Live in the ThunderDome, out comes Edge to the ring. He says what happened at FastLane and last week, the chaos, the mayhem, the destruction, it didn’t need to happen. Or maybe it did. Maybe he was being naive by thinking he could travel the road to WrestleMania without hitting any roadkill or speed bumps. And Daniel somehow got his way to WrestleMania.
Edge says the idea of possibly teaming with Bryan at FastLane was interesting to him but it wasn’t for Daniel. And he was so focused on Roman that he didn’t see Daniel coming and that is his fault. Because if anyone should see an opportunist coming, it’s him. And lesson learned. Then Daniel has these scenarios of Edge vs. Roman and he faces the winner after. Or the one where Edge and Roman face each other on Saturday and Bryan faces the winner on Sunday. Edge says so brave. But then after Pearce’s decision last week, he realized that he got out played.
He says that he has to thank Bryan because he had a lot of time for reflection. He looked in the mirror and he finally liked what he saw. He saw someone who when backed in the corner, he comes out biting and swinging, doing what he has to do. He finally saw the Rated R Superstar. We see the WrestleMania graphic for the Universal Championship. Edge says that is Pearce’s validation for his paycheck.
Edge says that he doesn’t think Adam understands the ramification of what he did. Did Edge snap after Adam made it a triple threat? He did. He finally woke the hell up. Edge says he is a man that Roman aspires to be, he is a man that Bryan aspires to be. He is a WWE Hall of Fame legend. He is the ultimate opportunist. And he is finally, once again, the Rated R Superstar.
Regarding last week, when he hit them with the chair, it felt so good. He says it will happen again and when it does, he won’t hesitate to hit them with the conchairto. He throws the microphone and leaves the ring.
-Commercial Break-
Edge is walking backstage and in comes Kayla. She says that he didn’t talk about tonight’s street fight between Jey and Bryan. Edge says he doesn’t feel badly that Bryan might get beaten senseless tonight. And he knows that the next question is what if Bryan can’t make it to WrestleMania. He wouldn’t feel badly about it, he would enjoy it.
The Alpha Academy are in the ring as Gable hyped Otis up. He says over the past few months, he has transformed this human bulldozer into a force of nature. He unleashed his inner alpha. The Alpha Academy is peaking at the right time and when they peak, they peak hard. Tonight, they outshine their own partners. And next week on a WrestleMania special edition of SmackDown, they will win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. And when they do it, they do it for the Academy as Gable and Otis point to the sky.
Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode and The Alpha Academy vs. Rey, Dominik, The Street Profits
The bell rings and we are under way. Dominik with a tornado DDT on Ziggler. He goes for the cover but Ziggler kicks out. In comes Roode and in comes Mysterio. All eight men fight as Ziggler and his tag partners are thrown to the outside.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Rey and Ziggler are in the ring. Dawkins is tagged in and he hits Ziggler with a clothesline. He knocks Otis off the ring apron. In comes Gable but Dawkins throws him down. Roode is tagged in and with the referee distracted, Otis hits Dawkins with a clothesline. Otis is tagged in. He stomps on Dawkins. Otis goes for the cover but Dawkins kicks out.
Otis slams Dawkins into the turnbuckle as Dawkins falls to the mat. Otis with an elbow drop. Roode is tagged in. A suplex by Roode. He goes for the cover but Dawkins kicks out. Ziggler is tagged in. Ziggler tauns him and Ziggler with a headlock and Otis is tagged in. A snap mare by Otis followed by a head lock but Dawkins with a jaw breaker counter. Both men run to the ropes and a double clothesline. Gable and Ford are tagged in. Ford with a clothesline. In comes Roode but a drop kick by Ford. He dropkicks Ziggler off the ring apron.
Ford with a modified side walk slam. He goes for the cover but Ziggler breaks it up. In comes Rey as Rey hits him with a drop kick. Rey goes for the 619 but Roode trips Rey up to the outside. Rey throws Roode into the barricade. Dominik flips Dolph to the outside. Ford with a roll up on Gable but Gable kicks out. Ford with a kick to the head. Ford climbs the top rope and he jumps but lands on his feet. Otis is tagged in and a German by Gable. Otis on the second rope, he jumps and a big slam on Ford. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Pearce and Sonya are backstage. In comes Heyman. He tells them the Tribal Chief has asked him to come to them regarding a clause, an agreement. Putting Jey up in a street fight vs. Bryan could end Bryan’s career and he wants Jey cleared of all legal problems. Sonya tells him he makes a good point as Heyman walks away.
Winners: The Alpha Academy, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode
Seth Rollins makes his way down to the ring wearing a purple suit.
-Commercial Break-
Corey Graves is in the ring with Cesaro and Rollins. Corey is talking as Seth calls himself Mr. WrestleMania. He tells Corey he should start with himself but it’s fine, to ask Cesaro. Corey says this is Cesaro’s first singles match at WrestleMania, will it be the breakthrough moment? Cesaro says this is the biggest match of his career and Seth has been loud talking about his shortcomings. But he can’t and won’t fail at WrestleMania because htere’s something different, something in the air, swing is in the air, everywhere you look around.
Graves tells Seth that the entire WWE Universe saw him getting swung by Cesaro. Seth says he knows what they are trying to do. You can’t shake him because it’s WrestleMania season and when it comes to this season, he is unshakable. Seth vs. Triple H, Seth vs. Lesnar, Seth cashing in. Corey says no one is questioning his WrestleMania moments but the pressure is on Cesaro. He asks him if he has what it takes to get the win vs. Seth.
Cesaro says he wouldn’t be here if he didn’t know he could be Seth at WrestleMania. But he knows he can embarrass him at WrestleMania. Seth says he is unshakeable. Cesaro says he may be unshakable but he’s not un-swingable. Seth kicks Corey out of the ring and he tells Cesaro he is sick of him. There are levels to this game and Cesaro is at the bottom hile Seth is at the top. That is how it is and that is how it will be. And he will embarrass Cesaro at WrestleMania.
Seth says he will end Cesaro’s dream right now as the two go face to face. Cesaro tells him to take a swing. Seth backs off and leaves the ring.
Carmella is backstage warming up as Nia, Shayna and Reginald pass by her. Nia tells her she didn’t treat her guy very well as they all walk away
-Commercial Break-
Shayna Baszler vs. Natalya with Tamina
Nia Jax and Reginald are on commentary. The bell rings and we are under way. Both women exchange right hands and reversals. They both go for a roll up as Natalya gets the pin.
Winner: Natalya
Nija and Tamina get in the ring as Shayna and Nija beat them both down. Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott come out, as do Many and Dana Brooke. Lana and Naomi run down to the ring. Natalya and Tamina with a modified Hart Attack as they’re the last team standing tall.
Carmella is backstage and in comes Billie Kay with her CV. Carmella looks at it as Billie walks away.
We cut to earlier tonight where Logan Paul makes it to the stadium with Sami Zayn waiting for him.

Sami Zayn’s Red Carpet Premiere with Logan Paul
Zayn makes his way down to the ring. The mat is covered the red carpet and we have two chairs. He says it’s the red carpet premiere, the release of the trailer for his documentary which will expose the conspiracy against him. He says this will show without a shadow of a doubt that there is a conspiracy against him, to undermine him and his career. He says what you are about to see will shock you and leave you speechless.
Sami hypes up Logan Paul and introduces him to the ring. Out comes Logan as both men hug in the ring. Sami tells him that Logan being here says so much about his character. It will show all of his followers that this is not a conspiracy theory but a conspiracy.
Logan says he is excited to be in a WWE ring in the ThnderDome and based on everything Sami has told him, this could be huge. Sami says he is surrounded by people who don’t want to see the truth. And he invites Logan to be his guest at WrestleMania as Logan accepts.
Sami says this is great because he will get to see first hand but what he will do to Kevin Owens but that is WrestleMania. But tonight, we are here for this. Sami says it’s time to see the trailer.
We cut to the big screen and it’s rated T for Truth. All facts without fiction. The tailer shows bits of Sami talking at different times as they mention different conspiracy theories. We see him talking to Kevin, him attacking his camera crew and how referee’s conspire against him. It’s called Justice for Sami.
Sami says bravo, what a gem. He asks Logan about his thoughts. Logan says it’s a lot to take in, it’s compelling but when Sami wasi n the locker room, Kevin approached him and he said “He’s known you for 15 years, there is no conspiracy.” Sami asks what he is doing, he’s not Kevin’s guest of honor. He is here with him, not Kevin. Sami gets a little heated and apologizes. He says he knows what Kevin thinks and he doesn’t care what Kevin thinks, he doesn’t want Kevin poisoning Logan’s mind. He cares about what Logan Paul thinks.
Logan says he can see he put a lot of effort in it. Kevin attacks Sami from behind and hits him with the stunner. Kevin tells Sami, if he can’t talk sense into him, he will beat sense into him at WrestleMania. Kevin pushes Logan away and leaves the ring as Logan stands in the middle of the ring.
We cut backstage and in comes Edge. He tells Pearce and Sonya that last week, Pearce made the worst decision in WWE history. But tonight, the street fight is actually a good idea. And he wants them to know that he will be out there on commentary.
-Commercial Break-
Alyse is backstage with Kevin Owens. He tells hers he disliked hitting Sami with the stunner but he was trying to send him a message. It’s a message to anyone in WWE, he can stun anyone at any time. Sami attacks Kevin from behind.
Kayla is backstage with Bianca. She asks about her focus right now. Bianca says she was wondering when she would finally get to see the real Sasha Banks but after she slapped the soul out of her body, the legit boss showed up. And that’s who she was waiting on. Bianca says when she beats Sasha, she will have no excuses. But tonight is Carmella. She got a chip on her shoulder when she is the reason that they all have to deal with Reginald’s drama. Bianca says she is going through Carmella to make history at WrestleMania.
Carmella vs. Bianca Belair
As Bianca is getting in the ring, Carmella attacks Bianca, knocking her to the outside. Right hands by Carmella as she throws Bianca into the ring steps.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Carmella is on top of Bianca’s shoulders and hits a hurricanrana. She hits her with the bronco buster. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Carmella ties Bianca’s hair around the bottom rope and stomps on her.
Carmella taunts Bianca. She runs towards her but Bianca with a huge clothesline knocks Carmella down. A drop kick by Bianca. Right hands by Bianca. She goes for a moon sault but Carmella moves out of the way. Carmella with the super kick. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Carmella taunts Bianca as Bianca hits her with the KOD. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Bianca Belair
Sasha Banks gets in the ring as she tries to attack Bianca from behind. Bianca tells her not today but WrestleMania. Sasha rolls out of the ring.
Roman Reigns is shown backstage with Jey Uso.
-Commercial Break-
King Corbin is backstage says he is tired of the disrespect he keeps getting on SmackDown. So when he heard that Lashley made the offer on Raw, he took a look at his 45,000$ Patek watch and decided he will go to WrestleMania. Then everyone will be forced to respect and bow down to the king.
Apollo Crews cuts a promo backstage. He says this time at WrestleMania, they do it the right way in a Nigerian Drum Fight. He says he challenges Big E to a Nigerian Drum Fight at WrestleMania, that way all of his family and his ancestors will drum around at his bones breaking and him becoming the Intercontinental Champion.
Edge is backstage and in comes Heyman. He tells Edge the main event should have been Edge vs. Roman Reigns and then that little bastard Daniel inserted himself to make it a triple threat. That match mathematically lowers Roman’s chances at defending and Edge’s chances of winning. Edge cuts him off. He tells him he going out there tonight for commentary.
Out comes Edge to the announce table to join the commentary team.
-Commercial Break-
Street Fight – Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso
The bell rings and we are under way. Right hands by Jey as he throws Bryan to the outside. A right hand by Bryan as he throws Jey into the barricade. He goes to throw Jey once more but Jey reverses it and Bryan hits shoulder first onto the barricade. Once more Jey throws Bryan into the barricade and into the ring.
Jey grabs a steel chair but as he is getting in the ring, Bryan kicks him away. Bryan goes for a suicide dive but Jey hits him with the chair. Jey gets in the ring and hits Bryan with the steel chair across his back. Jey places Bryan’s leg in between the chair. Jey climbs the top rope and goes for the splash but Bryan moves out of the way.
Bryan grabs the chair and hits Jey with the chair across the back. Jey rolls out of the ring as Roman’s music hits and out comes Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman. Paul has a chair for Roman to sit on.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Jey with a super kick on Bryan in the ring. Jey places the steel chair in between the two ropes. He throws Bryan head first into the steel chair. Jey with right hands. Jey goes to the outside and grabs a tool box from under the ring. He grabs a steel chair and gets in the ring. Jey hits Bryan with the chain, taking him down. A right hand by Jey knocks Bryan down.
Jey climbs the top rope, he jumps and lands the frog splash. He goes for the cover but Bryan kicks out. Jey rolls Bryan to the outside. He slams Bryan face first into the ring apron. He throws Bryan into the ring steps. Jey grabs Bryan and he slams him head first into the steel steps.
Edge says he doesn’t fear anyone which gets Jey’s attention. Jey turns his attention back to Bryan. He goes for a suplex off the ring steps but Bryan blocks it. A right hand by Bryan who lands a suplex from the ring steps onto the floor.
Bryan grabs a steel chair and looks at Edge. He hits Jey across the back with it. He slams Jey’s face into the announce table as he looks at Edge. He throws Jey back into the ring. Bryan on the top rope and he lands a drop kick. Bryan with the yes kicks. Bryan grabs the steel chain and he wraps it around his arm. He hits Jey with the chain and he gets Jey into the Yes Lock. Jey taps out.
Winner: Daniel Bryan
Daniel rolls out of the ring and hits Edge with the flying knee. He throws Edge face first several times into the ring post. Bryan stares at Roman and marches towards him. Roman stands up and he throws the chair towards Bryan but Bryan moves out of the way. Bryan with the running knee onto Roman. Bryan with the Yes Lock on Roman Reigns on the stage.
