IN THE RING
NXT Rookies (Kaval & Michael McGillicutty & Alex Riley) & Matt Striker + “Dashing” Cody Rhodes + Montel Vontavious Porter: Matt congratulated them for making it to the final 3 and wanted to hear from each of them how it felt. Michael said he had the greatest job in the world and he owes a lot of his success to his pro and he loved getting to perform in the same ring as his father did. Alex Riley said he expected to be here because it’s about finding the next breakout star which means total package. Alex said he is the total package, he looks walks and talks the part. Alex said Sheamus better hope he doesn’t get there first because if he does Sheamus is dismissed. Kaval said the feeling is indescribable and he can’t thank the WWE Universe enough. Kaval said his celebration was ruined last week thanks to Cody being all upset when he should have been upset at himself. Cody told Kaval to mind his tongue. Kaval said Cody was only there because of his father. Cody said he wanted to know what else Kaval believed in other than booster seats and bad promos. Kaval said he earned his way to perform there and if he wanted to continue talking it was easy to do it from 50 feet but he should get in the ring. Cody said he was floored at Kaval’s originality. Cody said Kaval is the gum that he scrapes off his boots. Cody said no to the challenge and MVP said he couldn’t stand by and let this go down. Cody said it didn’t concern him. MVP said Kaval is his dog. Cody told MVP to watch his tongue. MVP said if Kaval wasn’t on his level then he should accept a challenge from someone who is. Cody said just to shut everyone up he accepts.

WWE TRIVIA CHALLENGE
Kaval won the challenge: Matt said 1st round questions were worth 100 points and the 2nd round questions were worth 200 points. There was a button on a table and whoever hit it first got to answer. I won’t bother recapping the questions but they weren’t difficult at all and for some reason it took Michael like 20 seconds to figure out who was in the first Iron Man match. Kaval and Michael tied with 300 points each at the end of round 1 but Alex had none. Kaval won with 700, Michael had 500, and Alex had 200. His prize was getting featured on WWE.com.

SINGLES MATCH
“Dashing” Cody Rhodes defeated Montel Vontavious Porter: Cody went for MVP’s arm but was hit in the face so he freaked out. MVP was in control for the beginning of the match, knocking Cody all around and putting in an arm bar. MVP clotheslined Cody out of the ring, hit a top rope plancha, and threw Cody shoulder first into the steel ring post. Back from commercial Cody had taken over briefly but MVP came back and went for the arm. Cody made a comeback and seemed to focus attention on the face and ribs of MVP. Cody destroyed MVP for the longest time until MVP lifted Cody Rhodes into an electric chair drop out of a body/head scissors. Cody managed to hit a superplex moments later for 2. MVP exploded on Cody short after, hitting a pounce and ballin’. MVP went for his finisher but Cody turned it into the Alabama slam. Cody hit Cross Rhodes shortly after for 3. I don’t understand why the rookies can’t have matches this long.
