John Cena is the NEW United States Champion!

BACKSTAGE: The Coach greeted Tom Prichard & Johnny Stamboli, and then walked up to Theodore Long and gave him a hug! The Coach walked into the General Manager’s office and found Eric Bischoff & Johnny Spade (later known as Johnny Nitro aka John Morrison). Eric Bischoff asked The Coach to go find the Undertaker..

BACKSTAGE: Evolution (Randy Orton and Ric Flair and Batista).. Randy Orton said he would establish himself as the new Hardcore Legend tonight..

Booker T & Rob Van Dam defeated La Resistance (Rob Conway & Sylvain Grenier) and The Dudleyz (Bubba & D-Von) and Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade to retain the World Tag Team titles: Booker T gave Rob Conway the axe kick and Rob Van Dam hit a frog splash for the pin!

BACKSTAGE: The Coach found Mean Gene Okerland & Bobby Heenan covered in lipstick with their clothes torn up! The door swung open and out walked the Fabulous Moolah & Mae Young!

Christian slipped into the ring and scored the pin on Jericho while pulling the trunks! Stratus then got in the ring to help Jericho, but turned HEEL and slapped him instead! Christian hit an Uprettier on Jericho and left with a heel-turned Trish Stratus! Christian grabbed Trish by the hair and made out with her as Jericho’s heart broke..

The Rock showed up and told Lilian Garcia not to look at the “People’s Package”. The Rock grabbed the camera and walked around, bumping into Hurricane & Rosey, then Don Muraco & Jimmy Snuka. The Rock said that he was “home” (even though he failed to mention WrestleMenia when he was on Jay Leno)..

The Evolution (Randy Orton & Batista & Ric Flair) defeated The Rock & Mick Foley: Late in the match, Mick Foley pulled out Mr. Socko but Randy Orton instead hit an RKO for the win! Despite the loss, The Rock led the crowd in a thunderous ovation for Mick Foley (Foley! Foley! Foley!)

Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler acknowledged the reaction, and explained that Brock Lesnar has dreams of being in the NFL. Mostly support for Bill Goldberg, with the exception of a few “Goldberg Sucks!” chants. The crowd ruined any chance of the match getting over with chants of “This Match Sucks” and “Hogan” and “Boring!” Goldberg won after a spear and a jackhammer, with Referee Austin having no influence at all. Brock Lesnar took his time getting to his feet and was met with “Nah nah nah nah hey hey hey good bye” chants!
