WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT

4/25 Extreme Rules PPV results from Baltimore, MD: The Hart Dynasty won a tag title shot over ShoMiz in a gauntlet match that also included John Morrison & R-Truth and MVP & Mark Henry; Jack Swagger over Randy Orton to retain the World title; John Cena over Batista in a Last Man Standing match to retain the WWE title; Beth Phoenix over Michelle McCool to capture the Women’s title; Edge over Chris Jericho in a steel cage; Sheamus over Triple H in a street fight; CM Punk over Rey Mysterio in a hair match; and JTG over Shad Gaspard in a strap match. Dark match was Kofi Kingston over Dolph Ziggler.

Raw is live tonight from Richmond, VA. It’s the annual 3-hour draft show where we expect there will be around 10-12 moves with more to follow during an online supplemental draft on Wednesday. The only match announced for the show is ShoMiz defending the tag titles against the Hart Dynasty. There will be Raw vs. Smackdown matches to determine draft picks.

Some notes from the pay-per-view. The stretcher job with Triple H is believed to be his storyline exit for a while as he’s dealing with a neck injury and currently filming the WWE Studios movie Killing Karma in Louisiana. Joey Mercury was the hoodied guy who interfered in the Punk-Mysterio hair match. There was a lot of backstage speculation that Dave Batista is finishing up with the company in a few week’s. One person close to Batista said he will be leaving after the next pay-per-view which would mean Over The Limit on 5/23 from Detroit.

Mickie James fans are apparently planning a protest tonight at Raw since the show emanates from her hometown of Richmond. People often talk about doing these things but rarely do they pull them off.

Chavo Guerrero commented via Twitter on the fan accusations against himself and Mark Henry, and why he believes they’re ludicrous. He even joked, “If I could get Henry to kill someone, why wouldn’t I have him kill the writing team, not a drunk nobody?” Even more ludicrous is that he blamed wrestling media for putting out a false story when the story was first reported by a newspaper in Northern Ireland.

Lawler notes that he hasn’t missed a scheduled WWE booking for 15 years and was lucky to catch a flight out of the UK two week’s ago slightly ahead of the Raw crew who ended up stranded due to the ash cloud from the volcanic eruption in Iceland.
