I was at the Show in Madison Square Garden on 1/17/94 and during the match, the Harts came down with the title belts, the match was ultimatly won by the Quebecers and they became the Tag Champions again. This can also be confirmed by the PPV broadcast shows a snipet of the win from MSG before the match..on a side note that same night (1/17/94) they held a Royal Rumble style match and Owen was the winner of it.

  • August 15, 2005 – RAW: Shawn Michaels cut a super-heel promo against Hulk Hogan and teased the Montreal fans about Bret Hart.

However – WWE is picking up the bill for the travel and accommodation for the Bret and his wife, Cinzia. Accepting a payment would technically make him ‘working’ for WWE, something that he said over and over again that he will never do. PWInsider also said that it was Vince McMahon who called Bret earlier this month to offer him the spot at the Hall Of Fame. Interesting to note is that Bret Hart last appeared at a WrestleMania at the same arena in Chicago, IL., at WrestleMania 13 in 1997.
  • March 18, 2006 – Saturday Night’s Main Event: Shane McMahon w/Vince McMahon defeated Shawn Michaels in a Street Fight.
  • ~~~The lowlight of the match was the finish where Vince McMahon rehashed the screwjob – thus hinting a Bret Hart return!A week before WrestleMania, Bret Hart did an interview in Calgary Sun where he stated that he would not be going to Wrestlemania, saying he has a flight out of Chicago early Sunday morning, but joked he knew the WWE would do everything it could to convince him to stay. He also said that if he sees Shawn Michaels at the Hall of Fame ceremony, he’ll get in a cab and drive straight to the airport.

  • January 1, 2010: Bret Hart signed a short-term contract with the WWE which will end right after WrestleMania 26 in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • January 4, 2010 – RAW: Bret “The Hitman” Hart appeared on RAW for the first time in 12 years as special RAW guest host for the night.
  • ~~~Bret went for closure, making peace with Shawn Michaels, and then confronting Vince McMahon before making peace with him too.
  • ~~~Vince McMahon accepted the gesture and agreed to put Stu Hart in the Hall of Fame – but then turned and kicked Bret in the crotch!
  • January 11, 2010 – RAW: Vince McMahon arrogantly proclaimed that Bret Hart would never again appear on WWE programming.
  • January 18, 2010 – RAW: Vince McMahon shot down rumors that Bret Hart would be there – adding that Hart was banned from WWE!
  • February 1, 2010 – RAW: Bret Hart showed up for another confrontation with Vince McMahon – this time wanting to “kick his ass!”
  • ~~~Mr. McMahon insulted Stu Hart and the Hitman started punching him in the guts – until Batista ran down and attacked Bret Hart.
  • ~~Batista held Bret up so McMahon could spit right in his face! After the show ended, John Cena came out and brawled with Batista!
  • February 8, 2010 – RAW: Mr. McMahon came out surrounded by security and admitted to screwing Bret “The Hitman” Hart again.
  • ~~~John Cena tried to get Mr. McMahon to accept a big money match with Bret “The Hitman” Hart at WrestleMania 26.
  • ~~~Bret Hart showed up unannounced to attack Mr. McMahon, who escaped the brawl and refused the match!
  • February 15, 2010 – RAW: Bret “Hitman” Hart thanked the WWE Universe and John Cena and took the opportunity to say good-bye.
  • ~~A number of WWE Superstars, including John Cena, met the Hitman backstage and wished him good luck as he prepared to leave.
  • ~Bret Hart said good-bye to John Cena and got into his limo, but suddenly a second vehicle backed into the door crushing Hart’s leg!
  • The next day, the WWE website (www.wwe.com) reported that Bret Hart suffered a “broken left leg and tendon and ligament damage”.
  • February 22, 2010 – RAW: Mr. McMahon claimed he had nothing to with the “accident” and invited Bret Hart back next week.
  • March 1, 2010 – RAW: Vince McMahon introduced Bret “The Hitman” Hart, who came down with his leg in a cast and on crutches.
  • ~~~Hart called McMahon a World champion LIAR. – Vince suddenly wanted a match with the ‘injured’ Hitman at WrestleMania.
  • ~~Bret Hart said he couldn’t wrestle because of his broken leg, but Vince just continued to goad him and actually spit in Bret’s face!
  • ~~McMahon kicked the crutch, causing Hart to fall down in the ring – causing Hart to get angry and accept the WrestleMania match!
  • March 15, 2010 – RAW: Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared as the special RAW guest host to hype WrestleMania 26 on PPV.
  • ~~~Stone Cold Steve Austin helped Bret “Hitman” Hart outsmart Vince McMahon during a contract signing for a Street Fight..
  • March 22, 2010 – RAW: Bret Hart cut a great promo about his past WrestleMania matches and his father going into the Hall of Fame.
  • ~~~Mr. McMahon came out at the end and simply said “this Sunday, one way or another, you’re screwed!”
  • March 28, 2010 – WrestleMania 26: Bret “Hitman” Hart defeated Vince McMahon in a No-Holds-Barred match by Submission.
  • ~~~Mr. McMahon paid off the Hart family to be Lumberjacks and paid Bruce Hart to be the referee and help him screw Bret again.
  • ~~~Bret said the Harts were stronger than ever and told him what Vince was trying to do so they made up a plan to screw Vince!
  • ~~~Bret said the Harts made sure they were paid in advance by McMahon, but they would be on the side of Bret “Hitman” Hart!
  • ~~~Bret beat the crap out of Vince for 12 minutes, and threw him out of the ring so the Hart family members could get their shots.
