Career Highlights

Smoky Mountain Wrestling – Tammy Fytch:

  • 1993: Tammy Sytch debuted as Tammy Fytch in Jim Cornette‘s Smokey Mountain Wrestling in Kentucky.
  • ~~~When SMW didn’t hire Fytch, she “threatened” to sue | To avoid legal action, Cornette brought her in.
  • ~~~After several rejections, Tammy Fytch found Brian Lee to manage.
  • July 17, 1993: Brian Lee w/ Tammy Fytch defeated Tracy Smothers for the SMW Heavyweight title.
  • 1994: Tammy Fytch then brought Chris Candido into her stable.
  • May 1994: Brian Lee and Chris Candido w/ Tammy Fytch beat the RnR Express for the SMW Tag Team titles!
  • August 5, 1994 – Smokey Mountain Wrestling: Night Of The Legends: The Rock and Roll Express beat Brian Lee and Chris Candido.
  • ~~~Ricky Gibson was handcuffed to Tammy Fytch during this tag team title match, which was won by the Rock’N’Roll Express.
  • August 8, 1994: Tammy Fytch fired Brian Lee for what she called a horrible performance representing her.
  • November 19, 1994: Chris Candido w/ Tammy Fytch defeated Tracy Smothers in the finals of a Tournament.
  • ~~~As a result, Chris Candido captured the vacant NWA World Heavyweight title.

World Wrestling Federation – The Bodydonnas (Skip and Sunny):

  • 1994: Tammy Sytch arrived in the WWF as special events reporter Tamara Murphy, but quickly changed and became SUNNY.
  • Sunny, and her partner Skip (Chris Candido) would come out in spandex outfits and brag about their fitness and insult the fans.

World Wrestling Federation – The Bodydonnas (Skip and Zip withSunny):

  • Sunny brought in a Skip-lookalike named “Zip” (aka Tom Prichard and they formed a tag team known as the BodyDonnas.
  • March 31, 1996 – Wrestlemania XII: The BodyDonnas (Skip and Zip w/ Sunny) defeated The Godwinns to win the Tag Team titles!
  • ~~~During this feud Phineas Godwinn fell in love with Sunny, and of course she used this as a weapon against the Godwinns.
  • April 28, 1996 – In Your House 7: The BodyDonnas defeated The Godwinns to retain the Tag Team titles.
  • Sunny turned on The Bodydonnas, so they brought in a crossdresser version of Sunny who then named “Cloudy”.

World Wrestling Federation – The Smoking Gunns:

  • May 26, 1996: The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) defeated The Godwinns to win the Tag Team titles.
  • ~~~Sunny was at ringside and had given the impression she manage The Godwinns, but she ended up helping the Smoking Gunns!
  • Sunny embraced the gimmick and became a “cowgirl” wearing chaps, cowboy hats and other western apparell.
  • May 27, 1996 – RAW: The Smoking Gunns w/ Sunny defeated The BodyDonnas.
  • Sunny got “slopped” (bucket of slop poured over head) by Phineas I. Godwinn on the “Superstars” program.
  • Sunny began favouring Billy Gunn, and this caused tension between he and Bart Gunn during their matches.
  • Sunny eventually fired the Smoking Gunns coincidentally right after they dropped the Tag Team titles.

World Wrestling Federation – Farooq Asad:

  • After being turned down to manage Ahmed Johnson, Sunny brought in Farooq Asaad, and the two began feuding.
  • Sunny and Faarooq eventually mutually split up and she became co-host of the WWF program called Livewire.
  • Sunny also debuted her own interview segment called “Under the Covers with Sunny”.

Extreme Championship Wrestling:

World Wrestling Federation – LOD 2000:

  • Sunny turned her attention to rejuvinating the Legion of Doom (renamed LOD 2000) in the World Wrestling Federation.
  • Wrestlemania XIV: Sunny returned to the WWF and managed the LOD 2000 (Hawk and Animal) who won a 15-team battle royal
  • Sunny eventually faded out of all storylines and became simple eye-candy for the WWF, modelling T-shirts and such.

Extreme Championship Wrestling:

  • Heatwave 1998: Chris Candido w/ Tammy Sytch defeated Lance Storm.
  • ~~~Tammy Sytch announced that she was as of right then and there officially employed by ECW!!
  • Lance Storm hired a valet of his own named Tammy Lynn Bytch (aka Dawn Marie) to feud with Candido and Sytch.
  • January 1999: Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch turned on Shane Douglas, and thus ended the Triple Threat faction.
  • Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch were eventually released from ECW for their personal “demons”.

World Championship Wrestling:

  • Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch signed with World Championship Wrestling during its rebuilding (or sinking) stage.
  • April 16, 2000 – Spring Stampede: Chris Candido w/ Tammy Sytch won a 6-WAY to capture the Cruiserweight title.
  • May 7, 2000 – Slamboree: Chris Candido w/ Tammy Sytch defeated TAFKAPI to retain the Cruiserweight title.
  • April 24, 2000 – Nitro: Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch defeayed TAFKAPI and Paisley in a mixed tag match.
  • April 26, 2000 – Thunder: Paisley defeated Tammy Lynn Sytch in a catfight match.
  • May 15, 2000 – Nitro: Daffney and Crowbar defeated Chris Candido and Tammy Lynn Sytch.
  • Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch were fired from WCW after drug paraphanalia was found in a trash can in their dressing room.

Xtreme Pro Wrestling:

  • January 29, 2000: Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch debuted in Rob Black’s California-based XPW Wrestling.
  • February 26, 2000: Chris Candido w/ Tammy Sytch defeated “The Real Deal” Damien Steele for the XPW title.

Semi-retirement:

  • April 2002 – Tammy Sytch reportedly is set to release a pornographic video.
  • August 17, 2002 – USA Pro Wrestling: Low-Ki and Tammy Sytch had a confrontation backstage at the event.
  • ~~~The arguement was over Low Ki sitting in a seat Tammy said was hers.
  • ~~~As they argued, Chris Candido then got involved to attempt to defuse the situation.
  • ~~~Low Ki told Candido that he respected him but he needed to get Sytch in line.
  • February 2004: Tammy Sytch announced her retirement from wrestling for a career as a flight attendant, pending a test in Houston.
  • February 26, 2005 – Frank Goodman’s UXW: Mick Foley came out saying that there is no point waiting for June for an ECW reunion.
  • ~~~Mick Foley called out Axl Rotten, Chris Candido, Tammy Sytch, Balls Mahoney, Raven, Al Snow, Sandman and Justin Credible.
  • June 19, 2004 – USA Pro Wrestling: Chris Candido w/ Tammy Sytch beat Mike Tobin w/ Tony Lo to win the USA Pro United States title.

Rest In Peace Chris Candido:

  • April 28, 2005: In a shocking and unfortunate turn of events, Chris Candido died of a blood clot due to surgery complications.
  • May 2, 2005: Among those in attendance at the wakes for Chris Candido included Tom Prichard, Balls Mahoney, Mick Foley, Shane Douglas, Jimmy Shoulders, Johnny Ova, George Napolitano, Amy Lee, Ken Sweeney, Johnny Diamond, Donnie Buci, Tommy Cairo, Tommy Dreamer, Al Snow, Simon Diamond, Mike O’Brien, Allison Danger, Devon Storm, Electra and Justin Credible.
  • May 3, 2005: Among those in attendance at the funeral for Chris Candido included Dixie Carter, Jeff Jarrett, Terry Funk, Howard Finkel, Jeremy Borash, Bob Ryder, Scott D’Amore, Shane Douglas, Billy Gunn, Sonny Siaki, C.M. Punk, Rob Feinstein, Steven DeAngelis, Sandman, Sabu, Terry Taylor and many of the names listed above.
  • ~~Tammy Sytch was described as very strong and smiling most of the time, giving winks and hugs to those who were said.
  • ~~It was reported as a nice touching service with one of the NWA Tag Team title belts draped over the casket during the mass.
  • ~~TNA offered the belt if the family wanted to bury Candido with it due to his love for wrestling.

Tammy Sytch and the return of “Sunny”:

  • May 7, 2005: Tammy Sytch made her first appearance at a wrestling event since the passing of her husband at a WEW show.
  • ~~~WEW (Women’s Extreme Wrestling) – Sytch managed indy worker Talia while wearing Candido’s ring jacket in Philadelphia.
  • ~~~She also came out and gave a brief speech at the beginning of the show following a 10 bell salute in Candido’s honor.
  • May 8, 2005: Tammy Lynn Sytch was hospitalized after what was being described as a minor nervous breakdown.
  • June 4, 2005 – NWS – ECW Style Show: Johnny Candido (w/ Tammy Sytch) defeated Balls Mahoney (w/ Francine).
  • June 10, 2005 – Hardcore Homecoming: Johnny Grunge, Gary Wolf and Tammy Sytch participated in a tribute to wrestlers who died.
  • ~~~RIP: Louie Spicolli, Road Warrior Hawk, Rocco Rock, Big Dick Dudley, Pitbull #2, Eddie Gilbert and Chris Candido.
  • ~~~They also played the “Back In Black” song in honor of Chris Candido when Tammy Sytch made her appearance.
  • ~~~Danny Doring and Roadkill came out next and got into a brawl with Johnny Grunge and Gary Wolf in the ring.
  • ~~~Tammy Sytch ran backstage and brought out 911, who chokeslammed Danny Doring and Roadkill to hell!
  • ~~~Roadkill was then placed on a table and Johnny Grunge delivered a top rope splash through the table!!!
  • July 7, 2005 – National Wrestling Superstars: King Kong Bundy and Equalizer w/ Tammy Sytch beat Kevin Knight and Justin Cage.
  • July 30, 2005 – NWA Cyberspace: Lacey defeated Cindy Rogers with Tammy Sytch referee.
  • September 10, 2005 – Jersey All Pro Wrestling: Jackie Gayda beat Alicia by disqualification with Sunny as ref and April Hunter doing a run-in.
  • October 29, 2005 – Pro Wrestling Unplugged: Sumie Sakai defeated Luscious Lily with Tammy Sytch as referee.
  • November 19, 2005 – NWA Cyberspace: All Money is Legal w/ Tammy Sytch defeated The Solution w/ John Shane.
  • ~~~After the match: Tammy Sytch (managed by Rhino) defeated John Shane (Rhino gored Tammy Sytch after the match).
  • January 21, 2006 – NWA Cyberspace: Rodney Mack defeated Kip James (managed by Tammy Sytch).
  • February 18, 2006 – Jersey All Pro Wrestling: Mercedes Martinez defeated Talia w/ April Hunter with Tammy Sytch as referee.
  • March 26, 2006 – NWA Cyberspace: Rhino defeated Sabu (managed by Tammy Sytch) and gored Tammy after the match.
  • May 21, 2006 – NWA Cyberspace: Rhino defeated Kip James (As stipulated, Tammy Sytch must now leave NWA Cyberspace).
  • June 3, 2006 – National Wrestling Superstars: Lex Luger w/ Tammy Sytch defeated Johnny Candido w/ Dawn Marie.
  • October 7, 2006 – WCWA: Tito Santana w/ Tammy Sytch vs Greg “The Hammer” Valentine ended in a Double Countout.

Ring of Honor (vs. Lacey) and WSU (vs. Rick Cataldo):

  • December 22, 2007 – Women Superstars Uncensored: Sunny defeated Alicia to become the NEW WSU Champion!!!
  • December 29, 2007 – Ring of Honor: Daizee Haze defeated Lacey and SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Ray in a Non-title match.
  • ~~~After the match: Lacey verbally assaulted Tammy “Sunny” Sytch who was sitting at ringside during the match.
  • March 8, 2008 – Great Lakes Championship Wrestling: Matt Longtime defeated Scotty Too Hotty with Tammy Sytch as referee.
  • March 21, 2008 – WSU: Nikki Roxx defeated Alexa Thatcher and Tammy Sytch in a 3-WAY to win the WSU Championship.
  • March 22, 2008 – WSU (Women’s J-Cup): Becky Bayless defeated Dawn Marie w/ Sunny by disqualification (1st Round).
  • March 28, 2008 – Ring of Honor: Jimmy Jacobs and Lacey tried to recruit Austin Aries to join the Age of the Fall group.
  • ~~~Sunny also made an offer, but Austin Aries turned down both offers and left – Lacey attacked Tammy “Sunny” Sytch.
  • March 29, 2008 – Ring of Honor: Jimmy Jacobs and Lacey once again tried to recruit Austin Aries into the Age of the Fall.
  • ~~~Tammy Sytch offered money, fame, and sex to Austin Aries – but he turned Sunny down and left with Lacey.
  • April 11, 2008 – American Wrestling Rampage: Balls Mahoney and Sabu w/ Tammy Sytch beat Joey G and Dunky D w/ Rachelle St Clair.
  • April 12, 2008 – Ring of Honor: Larry Sweeney opened a “Diva School” and invited Tammy “Sunny” Sytch to be the trainer.
  • June 28, 2008 – South Atlantic Wrestling: J-Sinn w/ Tammy Sytch defeated Phil Brown w/ Baby Doll in Louisa, Virginia.
  • October 10, 2008 – WSU: Melissa Coates and Trixxie Lynn w/ Tammy “Sunny” Sytch defeated Annie Social and Rick Cataldo.
  • ~~~After the match; male wrestler Rick Cataldo cut a scathing promo on Tammy Sytch but Sytch aggressively fought back.
  • November 30, 2008 – GCW: Jennifer Blake beat Miss Danyah and Cat Power in a triple threat match with special guest referee Sunny.
  • April 11, 2009 – Squared Circle Wrestling: Sara Del Rey defeated Portia Perez w/ Joey Eastman with Sunny as the referee
  • April 5, 2009 – WrestleMania 25: Sunny participated in a 25-Diva “Miss WrestleMania” Battle Royal (won by Santina Marella).
  • June 11, 2010 – National Wrestling Superstars: Val Venis defeated Salvatore Sincere to earn the right to go home with Tammy Sytch.
  • ~~~After the match, Sunny turned down Val Venis and went home with the legendary Iron Sheik instead.
  • June 9, 2012–FWE: FWE Tri-Borough champion Damien Darling w Tammy Lynn Sytch defeated Harry Smith to retain the title.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE Hall of Fame):

  • March 7, 2011 – RAW: The WWE announced the induction of SUNNY into the WWE Hall of Fame on WrestleMania Weekend!

 

  • August 16, 2023: Sunny pleaded no contest Wednesday to DUI causing death and faces up to 25.5 years in prison.
