IN THE RING
Jeff Jarrett + Mick Foley: “TNA Founder” Jeff Jarrett came out with the World Heavyweight title belt and introduced the NEW champion, Mick Foley! Foley came out wearing a suit and asked Jarrett to let the fans enjoy it while it lasts. Foley thanked the camera man for helping him at Lockdown and said he would have a job in TNA for life. Foley said his consequences were physical, but Stingers consequences were emotional. Foley said after the match, Sting was an emotionally shattered man, and it’s safe to say they wouldn’t see Sting in the iMPACT Zone for a while. Foley asked for a round of appluase to show some respect for Sting. Jeff Jarrett somewhat reluctantly presented Foley with the TNA World Heavyweight title. Jarrett said six months ago when Foley signed on as executive shareholder neither of them dreamed of these circumstances. Jarrett informed Foley that TNA management has decided that his first title defense would be at Sacrifice in a four-way. Jarrett explained that each participant in the match will be putting something on the line worth “sacrificing” for the TNA championship. Jarrett said the challengers would be determined by who is willing to put the most on the line… Foley called it the ultimate sacrifice. Foley asked who TNA management is (isn’t it Jim Cornette?). Foley pointed out that he and Jarrett are TNA management, and he doesn’t remember discussing it with anybody. Foley asked what ever happened to good old one-on-one matches, and accused Jarrett of being jealous. Foley said that part of Jarrett resents that he is champion. Foley said since Jarrett booked him at Sacrifice, then he will book Jarrett in a match tonight. Foley booked Jarrett in a “Cactus Jack Smack Attack” match with Scott Steiner. Foley said he would sit with Mikey (Tenay) & Donnie (West) to “add a little color” to the match.

Jenna Morasca was really hot before, but they have Diva-sized her and now she just looks generic. Sorry, Jenna, I know you’re reading this. Nash actually used the elbow pad as a weapon during the match. Midway through the contest, Booker T (led by Sharmell) came down to ringside. There were weapons scattered throughout the iMPACT Zone, including barbed wire wrapped around 1/6 of the six sided ring. The finish saw Jarrett smash his guitar over Steiner’s head (and go zero reaction from the fans). Jarrett pinned Steiner and sold a hamstring injury.
