BLAST FROM THE PAST

IN RING SEGMENT
“Mean” Gene Oakerlund was introduced in the ring and he welcomed the crowd to the Blast from the Past edition of Smackdown. Gene then introduced his guest, new World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus. Sheamus thanked Gene for the introduction and then began to talk about the code of honor for the World Champions and that he broke that code last week when he Brogue kicked the official last week at the end of his match and he was here now to publically apologize for the incident, and he hoped everyone will accept his apology. As he finished his apology the new Smackdown General Manager, John Laurinatis came down to the ring and said that before Sheamus said another word he wanted everyone to see what he did last week.
After they showed the replay of what took place John asked Sheamus who he thought he was and yelled at him for putting his hands on his referee, and he wanted Sheamus to publically apologize, and Sheamus said he just did that, and Laurinatis said that he didn’t hear it so he wanted Sheamus to do it again. Sheamus irritated complies and does so again, John then said he wanted Sheamus to apologize to all the refs, and to the whole world. Sheamus does so and Laurinatis said that wasn’t good enough and Sheamus is on permanent probation and if Sheamus even accidentally touches a referee then he will be fired, and John is also fining Sheamus $500,000 dollars. Laurinatis then ended his rant by saying that Daniel Bryan will team with Alberto Del Rio to take on Sheamus and Mean Gene.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Randy Orton was backstage in his locker room and his father “Cowboy” Bob Orton walked up to him and told him to watch out tonight against the Worlds Strongest Man. Orton thanked his dad for his concern and then left the room to go to the ring for his match.
SINGLES MATCH
Randy Orton versus Mark Henry ended in a No Contest.
IN RING / BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Kane interrupted the match via Titantron telling Orton that their fun isn’t over just yet as it is fun for the whole family to enjoy and the camera panned out to show Orton’s father on the ground out cold. Orton then ran out of the ring and backstage. Orton found his father after a few moments of searching but before he could check on him Kane attacked Orton with a steel pipe, laying him out right next to his father. Kane then said that he is always a sucker for a family reunion and then laughed as he stood over the father and son.
SINGLES MATCH
Ryback defeated Benny Camer via pin fall: Ryback won with the Fisherman Muscle Buster on Camer.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Heath Slater was backstage with Tyson Kidd telling him that he knows Kidd had been tagging with Gabriel but he is a loser and he is injured. Not only that but if they can beat the Usos then they will be in line for a Tag Title shot, and to make things even better Slater had gotten them a manager for tonight only. Kidd asked who this manager was and Slater introduced Jimmy Hart. Hart and Slater then get pumped up for the match and walk out of the locker room leaving a confused Kidd in the locker room.
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Usos defeated Heath Slater & Tyson Kidd w/ Jimmy Hart via pin fall: Mick Foley who was announcing gave the mandible claw to Jimmy Hart which caused a distraction for Jimmy Uso to hit the Snuka Splash on Slater for the win.
IN RING SEGMENT
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper came out to the ring for the first Piper’s Pit on SmackDown in six years. Piper got into the ring and started off by saying that he missed the fans. He then said that tonight he has a man named Daniel Bryan who is a man that lost the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 28 in 18 seconds and he blamed it on his girlfriend. Piper then had the fans watch a replay of last week when Bryan broke up with AJ. After the replay finished Piper introduced Daniel Bryan.
Bryan came down to the ring. Piper started off by saying that Bryan looks a little too happy for a man who lost the World Heavyweight Championship in 18 seconds. Bryan said that is because he just got out of a meeting and he has been granted his rematch. Bryan said that this match will prove who the better man is because at Extreme Rules there will be a two out of three falls match, and that his ex AJ will be no where near the ring. Piper said that maybe true but he knows she’s in the arena and he likes her and it’s his show so he brings her out to the ring.
AJ started by saying that she couldn’t believe that she was on Piper’s Pit. She then says hi to Bryan and then begins to defend Bryan saying that deep down he is truly a good person. Piper cannot believe this as he brings up Bryan’s antics over the last week and everything he had said about AJ. AJ said that it was all her fault, and that she made a mistake at Wrestlemania and that she was so sorry and that if they could just talk she could make it up to him. Piper is flabbergasted at what AJ is saying and then started talking her up saying that she is strong, smart and beautiful and that she has nothing to apologize for. Bryan then said that he had heard enough from both of them and that if AJ really loved him she would leave the ring right now. Piper then told her she didn’t need to leave the ring and then AJ gets out of the ring and goes to the back as Bryan smiled and laughed, and then Bryan tried to leave the ring and Piper stopped him.
Piper said that he sees YES, YES, YES, but he had a few NOS for Bryan, that you don’t yell at women, and you don’t use them as a human shield because that makes you a coward which is exactly what Bryan is. Piper then said the only bright light is that Sheamus gets to beat Bryan twice in one night at Extreme Rules. Bryan said that at Extreme Rules is going to prove how much better he is and its going to smack everyone across the face. Bryan then proceeded to smack Piper in the face and then bailed out of the ring before Piper could retaliate. Bryan then screamed YES! as he made his way to the back.
SIX PERSON MIXED TAG MATCH
The Great Khali & Alicia Fox & Natalya defeated Drew McIntyre & The Bella Twins: Fox won with a bridge pin on one of the Bellas. After the match as Khali, Natalya and Fox celebrated on the ramp Mae Young came out and partied with them and also French kissed The Great Khali.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Damien Sandow was backstage and talked about social media and how everyone is always under attack by tweets and pokes, and you are no longer challenged mentally but it is okay because he is the beacon of light for all to govern their lives after, and ended it by saying your welcome.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Mean Gene said to Sheamus that he doesn’t like their chances for tonight but Sheamus is smirking which Gene takes as Sheamus has a plan. Sheamus said to be honest he doesn’t but he doesn’t want to give Laurinatis the joy of watching him sweat and either way he gets to team with Mean Gene so it is all good, so if they survive tonight the first pint will be on him. Gene stopped Sheamus and said if we survive? Sheamus then put his arm on Gene and said they will either drink to remember or drink to forget.
SINGLES MATCH
Hunico w/ Camacho defeated “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan w/ Sgt. Slaughter via DQ: Duggan hit Hunico with the 2×4 for the Disqualification.
IN RING SEGMENT
Cody Rhodes came down to the ring and said that tonight we are calling tonight “A Blast of the Past” which is a waste of time in his eyes, as we should look to the future where he will be Intercontinental Champion once again. Before he can continue on his father the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes comes out to the ring. Cody said that none of this concerns him, and Dusty said it does as he said that Cody came to the WWE as the most gifted star but all he wanted to do is poke a bear. Cody stopped him and said that Dusty is embarrassing him and that they can talk about this in the back. Cody then began to get out of the ring, but then The Big Show came out on to the ramp. Show then began to impersonate Dusty Rhodes. Show then said that he knows Cody has been embarrassed a lot lately so tonight he is going to show the real Cody Rhodes. The clip Big Show shows is one of Cody’s Dashing tips videos from the past where he is putting lip moisturizer on. Show then said now that is embarrassing and then walked to the back. A speechless Cody then gets out of the ring as Dusty’s music hits and Dusty then danced in the ring as Cody walked to the back.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Sheamus & Mean Gene Okerlund defeated Daniel Bryan & Alberto Del Rio via pin fall: Sheamus won with the Brogue Kick on Bryan. After the match, all of the WWE legends got in the ring to celebrate. There was Mean Gene, Jimmy Hart, Howard Finkel, Hillbilly Jim, Jim Duggan, Sgt Slaughter, Tony Atlas, Ted DiBiase, Dusty Rhodes, Roddy Piper, and Pat Patterson. This was most likely something filmed for the Legends House TV show. Michael Cole got in the ring to insult the legends and ended up getting punched out by Pat Patterson.
