[FIP News] Go Shiozaki defeated FIP World Heavyweight Champion Erick Stevens on August 23rd in Crystal River, FL in a match of the year candidate to win the FIP World Heavyweight Title. The emotional bout saw both athletes struggle back and forth for over 25 minutes before Shiozaki scored the win. Some fans were shocked, many were angered as they started throwing garbage and storming out of the building at the outcome of this historic bout. Shiozaki, who is managed by Sean & Phil Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises in FIP and Larry Sweeney of Sweet & Sour Inc. in ROH, is now negotiating for his first title defense.

[Book News] Bruno Lauer, known professionally as Downtown Bruno or Harvey Wippleman (WWF), has published his hilariously entertaining biography, entitled “Wrestling with the Truth” though Scott Teal’s Crowbar Press (www.crowbarpress.com). The book was launched at this year’s Cauliflower Ally Club reunion but will be available to the public through www.1wrestlinglegends.com – I had the honor of being one of the proof readers for this book and I am thrilled to endorse the book and proclaim that Bruno’s story will open your eyes to the world of pro-wrestling and make you laugh out loud.

[Puerto Rican News] This match features Shawn Morley, now known as WWE’s Val Venis, in a contest against who is considered as the greatest wrestler from Puerto Rico, Ray Gonzalez. This was part of a long run in the 90′s from Val Venis in Puerto Rico’s longest standing promotion, World Wrestling Council.
