Guest Booker with Kevin Sullivan

Description: In an industry where original concepts are few and far between, has actually come up with a unique idea to release to the general wrestling public. KC owner Sean Oliver takes viewers on a trip back to 1984 when the wrestling industry, specifically the WWE, was on the verge of national expansion. Kevin Sullivan appears as the “Guest Booker,” and was given the task of booking the entire twelve months of the year – but there’s a catch; Hulk Hogan is nowhere to be found.

Kevin Sullivan digs down into the shallow grave to resurrect some classic old-school booking philosophies. Sullivan makes a series of cuts to the roster and then raids several of the other territories, before re-booking the entire territory to build towards a huge Christmas Day show at the end of the year with major title matches and blow-offs to intense feuds. Sullivan covers the World title division, the Tag Team title division, the Intercontinental title division, and addresses several under-card scenarios.

Deep down inside of every mark, there is a wannabe booker fighting to get out. This DVD is a really fascinating look into the mind of one of wrestling’s top bookers. It’s certainly not your typical shoot-style interview. Sullivan literally turns the territory up-side-down and puts forth a series of intriguing storylines. Here’s a preview – you will probably be surprised by who he puts on top. I only hope there are more Guest Booker releases in the future. Are you looking for something different? Check out Guest Booker with Kevin Sullivan.
