Hawx, who hails from New Orleans has been wrestling for almost 15 years and currently competes for the up-and-coming promotion Extreme Rising. Hawx speaks on several topics from meeting Vince McMahon, feuding with Matt Hardy, WWE, Extreme Rising and more. Hawk’s also shares a funny story involving him and Vince McMahon.

Meeting Vince McMahon: I have met Vince every time that I have gone to WWE. When Vince McMahon sees you, he shakes your hand, he looks you in the eye and gives you full attention.

Being part of the birth of extreme wrestling: “You can go back to the first TLC ladder match with Edge and Christian or even before that to the original Omega. Myself and my brother were two of the guys who wrote the dictionary definition of extreme wrestling. Once we got to the WWE and we got the chance to have the ladder matches and the cage matches, we took them to a different level. We opened up a lot of doors for a lot of smaller guys to do more athletic, interesting, and entertaining stuff.”

Why he sees himself as not a “cancer” in Ring of Honor, but as the company’s”cure”: “I wanted to come to Ring of Honor to help. A lot of Ring of Honor die-hard fans think I’m the ‘cancer,’ but I don’t think I’m the ‘cancer.’ I think I’m the cure. Not only can I offer my experience and wisdom to these guys, but I can bring in a huge fan base as far as Hardy fans go. I want to change some things. I don’t want to take away what Ring of Honor stands for, but I do want to change it in a way where it evolves and grows.”
