Marcus Macshack wrote:I was wondering why is there no mention of Great Khali killing a kid in training while in APW? There was this Asian kid who’s name I can’t remember off the top of my head. But the kid was training in the garage to be a wrestler and Khali (Dalip Singh) was instructed to give him a power bomb. Apparently, the kid took the bump wrong and was told to do it again. The second time he was killed on the spot.
Chris Allen wrote: The information about Singh/Khali killing a kid with a powerbomb is slightly incorrect. The kid’s name was Brian Ong. He had already suffered a concussion but continued his training at the APW Beginner’s Camp anyway. Singh gave him two consecutive flapjacks (not powerbombs), and Ong’s concussion got worse. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Ong’s family subsequently sued APW and won 1.3 million dollars. Here’s a source: http://www.hershlaw.com/caseinv/ci_oth_cp.html#wrestling
September 27, 2010 – RAW: The Great Khali w/Runjin Singh defeated Sheamus by disqualification when Sheamus went nuts destroying Khali.
October 13, 2010: Great Khali returned to India to be in a reality TV show called “Big Boss House” – a show similar to “Big Brother.”
Mike Aldren wrote (On January 24, 2011): Great Khali and his entourage were involved in a shooting incident over the weekend, according to India’s 24-hour news channel, Aaj Tak. The shooting took place late Friday night in the city of Ludhiana near the home of Indian politician Sat Pal Gosain. Khali had just visited with Gosain and was leaving the area when his vehicle was stopped by a large crowd of fans who had gathered outside the politicians home. Eyewitnesses told Aaj Tak that one man from Khali’s security assignment became hostile and fired several shots into the air in an effort to disperse the crowd surrounding the vehicle. Local authorities are now investigating the matter but at press time no charges have been filed. “The fans became restless in a bid to click photographs of Khali,” police inspector Surinder Mohan said. “In the melee, some unidentified person fired in the air. Splinters of the bullet hit two people, one sustained a shoulder injury while the other sustained minor bruises.” It was later reported that two men were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. Khali in a statement to TMZ said he had left the scene when the shooting took place. “I am deeply saddened to hear of this incident and am disappointed it has been incorrectly reported that I was involved”, he said. “I had left my friend’s house a half an hour before the reported shooting took place and did not have any bodyguards with me. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people who were injured.”
