  • (WWE) World Tag Team titles (Batista & Ric Flair) defeating The Dudley Boyz in a Tag Team Turmoil match (Armageddon 2003);

Career History

Evolution Part I:

  • Late 2002: Rumors circulate of a reincarnation of the IV Horsemen involving Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista.
  • January 20, 2003 – RAW: Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista and Randy Orton join forces to pumble Scott Steiner.
  • January 27, 2003 – RAW: Triple H and Batista defeats Kane and Rob Van Dam after Batista ripped off Kane’s mask.
  • ~~~Scott Steiner made the save for RVD, but HHH, Flair, Batista and Orton pumbled him yet again.
  • February 3, 2003 – RAW: Triple H proclaims that the foursome is the “Evolution” of the wrestling industry.
  • February 10, 2003 – RAW: Batista defeats Tommy Dreamer and the Evolution gives Dreamer the beat down after the match.
  • ~~~Booker T runs out to make the save, but receives the same beat down, until Scott Steiner runs in and cleans house!
  • Febuary 17, 2003 – RAW: Booker T and Scott Steiner defeats Triple H and Batista despite interference from Flair and Orton.

Evolution Part II:

  • May 26, 2003 – RAW: Randy Orton returned and reformed the Evolution with Triple H and Ric Flair.
  • June 2, 2003 – RAW: Triple H/Ric Flair/Randy Orton defeat Kevin Nash/Shawn Michaels/Hurricane in a 6man tag.
  • June 15, 2003 – Bad Blood: Ric Flair defeated Shawn Michaels after Randy Orton interfered and whacked HBK with a chair!
  • ~~~Later on, Triple H defeated Kevin Nash in a Hell in a Cell match with Mick Foley as the referee to retain the World title.
  • June 16, 2003 – RAW: The Evolution tries to recruit Kane, but instead they set up a Mask vs Title match next week at MSG!
  • June 23, 2003 – RAW: Shawn Michaels/Kevin Nash beat Ric Flair/Randy Orton – Triple H defeated Kane unmask the Big Red Machine.
  • July 14, 2003 – RAW: The Evolution defeated The Dudley Boyz in an elimination match after Randy Orton pinned all 3 Dudleyz!
  • September 1, 2003 – RAW: Bill Goldberg / Maven / Shawn Michaels beat Triple H / Ric Flair / Randy Orton.
  • September 8, 2003 – RAW: Bill Goldberg and Randy Orton vs Triple H and Ric Flair went to a no contest after triple-teaming Goldberg.
  • September 13, 2003 – Live Event: Triple H beat Randy Orton and Ric Flair to retain the World title in a farce.
  • September 22, 2003 – RAW: Evolution defeated Mark Jindrak, Garrison Cade and Maven in a six-man-tag match.
  • September 29, 2003 – RAW: Triple H (taped segment) issues a $100,000 bounty to anybody who take “take Bill Goldberg out of the game”.
  • October 6, 2003 – RAW: Randy Orton and Ric Flair defeated Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak.
  • October 13, 2003 – RAW: Bill Goldberg and Shawn Michaels defeated Randy Orton, Ric Flair and Mark Henry in a handicap match.
  • ~~~After the match, Shawn Michaels accidentally superkicked Bill Goldberg and proclaimed that now they were even.
  • October 20, 2003 – RAW: Mark Jindrak and Garrison Cade steal the $100,000 bounty from Randy Orton, but Triple H gets it back.
  • ~~~Later that night, Batista rejoined the Evolution team by taking out Goldberg and claiming the $100,000 bounty.
  • October 27, 2003 – RAW: Evolution assumed the World title would go back to HHH, but GM Austin said Goldberg would be back for sure!
  • November 10, 2003 – RAW: Bill Goldberg defeated Batista by disqualification when Triple H interfered with a sledgehammer.
  • November 16, 2003 – Survivor Series: Bill Goldberg used a sledgehammer to defeat Triple H despite interference by members of Evolution.
  • November 17, 2003 – RAW: Rob Van Dam defeated Ric Flair by disqualification when Randy Orton ran down and RKO’d RVD!
  • ~~~Main event: Triple H/Batista/Randy Orton defeated Bill Goldberg in a Handicap match.
  • December 14, 2003 – Armageddon: Randy Orton wins the IC title, Batista and Ric Flair win the Tag titles, Triple H wins the World title!
  • December 15, 2003 – RAW: Rob Van Dam and Shawn Michaels beat Triple H/Ric Flair/Batista (HBK pinned HHH).
  • ~~~Later Randy Orton faced Mick Foley in a match that didn’t happen because Mick Foley walked out of the WWE.
  • January 25, 2004 – Royal Rumble: Ric Flair and Batista defeated the Dudleyz in a Tables match to retain the Tag titles.
  • Janaury 26, 2004 – RAW: Evolution (Ric Flair/Randy Orton/Batista) defeated Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho in a handicap match.
  • February 16, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton calls out Mick Foley for a fight, but is joined by Evolution in a lenthy beatdown on Foley!
  • ~~~Earlier in the night, Booker T and Rob Van Dam beat Ric FLair and Batista for their Tag Team titles!
  • March 1, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton and Batista beat Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit when Michaels and Benoit start fighting!
  • ~~~Later that night, Mick Foley brings in The Rock to help him fight off Evolution (Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair).
  • March 8, 2004 – RAW: Evolution (Randy Orton/Batista/Ric Flair) beat The Hurricane and Rosey in a handicap match.
  • ~~~Later on, The Rock hosts “Mick Foley: This is your Life” but he and Mick got beat up by Evolution afterwards!
  • March 14, 2004 – WrestleMania XX: Evolution (Randy Orton/Batista/Ric Flair) beat Mick Foley and The Rock when Orton pinned Foley!
  • ~~~Later that night, Chris Benoit defeated Triple H and Shawn Michaels to win the World title when HHH tapped out!
  • March 15, 2004 – RAW: Evolution (Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair) defeated Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit in a handicap match.
  • April 5, 2004 – RAW: Evolution attacks and destroys Chris Benoit, Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels.
  • May 3, 2004 – RAW: Shelton Benjamin and Tajiri and Edge defeated Evolution (Triple H/Randy Orton/Batista).
  • July 5, 2004 – RAW in Winnipeg: Randy Orton defeated Chris Jericho with help from Batista to retain the IC title!
  • ~~~In the Main Event: Triple H and Ric Flair and Eugene Dinsmore defeated Chris Benoit and Edge (HHH pinned Benoit).
  • July 12, 2003 – RAW: Chris Benoit vs Eugene Dinsmore ended in a no contest after Evolution interfered and destroyed Eugene!
  • August 2, 2004 – RAW: Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho and Edge vs Evolution (Randy Orton and Ric Flair and Batista).
  • August 16, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit to retain the World Heavyweight title with help from Evolution!
  • ~~~After the match, Evolution (Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista) turned on Randy Orton and left him in a pool of his own blood!
  • August 23, 2004 – RAW: Triple H calls out Randy Orton to hand over the World title, but Orton instead spits in HHH’s face!
  • September 13, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton beat Evolution by disqualification in a 3-on-1 match (Shelton Benjamin and Chris Benoit made the save!)
  • ~~~At the beginning of the show, Randy Orton jumped out of a cake and spoiled Triple H’s World title celebration.
  • September 20, 2004 – RAW: Chris Benoit and Randy Orton and Shelton Benjamin beat Evolution (Triple H and Ric Flair and Batista).
  • October 11, 2004 – RAW: Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit and Edge defeated Evolution (Triple H and Ric Flair and Batista).
  • ~~~Edge stole the pinfall on Triple H from Shawn Michaels and celebrated as if he had done all of the work.
  • October 25, 2004 – RAW: Ric Flair defeated Randy Orton with help from Triple H (Therefor Orton never gets a title shot).
  • ~~~The entire babyface locker room came out and stood up to Evolution, concluding with Randy Orton RKOing Triple H!
  • November 1, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton and Chris Jericho and Maven defeated Evolution (Ric Flair and Batista).
  • November 22, 2004 – RAW: Chris Benoit (GM for the night) books himself in a Steel Cage match with Triple H for the World title.
  • ~~~Triple H and Batista staged a fight with Triple H being injured before the match, therefor unable to compete.
  • ~~~Chris Benoit went on to defeat Edge (sub for HHH) in the steel cage before learning that Evolution had swerved him!
  • December 6, 2004 – RAW: Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho defeated Triple H and Batista w/Ric Flair by Disqualification.
  • ~~~Triple H went crazy and got disqualified when he whacked Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho…AND Batista with chairshots!
  • January 9, 2005 – New Year’s Revolution: Triple H won his 2nd Elimination Chamber match to recapture the World Heavyweight title.
  • ~~~Triple H beat Randy Orton and Batista and Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho and Edge (Shawn Michaels was guest referee).

The Destruction of Evolution:

  • January 30, 2005 – Royal Rumble: Triple H defeated Randy Orton to retain the World Heavyweight title.
  • ~~~Batista entered the Royal Rumble at #27 and made it down to the final 2 with John Cena when they both hit the floor!
  • ~~~The match was restarted by Vince McMahon, and Batista eventually tossed John Cena over the top rope to WIN THE RUMBLE!
  • January 31, 2005 – RAW: Batista is faced with the decision over which title he’ll challenge – HHH’s World title, or JBL’s WWE title?!
  • ~~~Triple H ‘seemed’ enthusiastic about facing Batista at WrestleMania, but a JBL interview played on the screen insulting Batista.
  • February 7, 2005 – RAW in Japan: Batista squashed Maven and celebrated until an interview with Big Show came up on the big.
  • ~~~Triple H and Ric Flair continued to encourage Batista to go after the SD! title so that Evolution could rule the whole WWE!
  • ~~~In the main event, Triple H defeated Edge to retain the World Heavyweight title with help from Batista.
  • ~~~Batista raised Triple H’s arm in celebration, but HHH noticed Batista couldn’t take his eyes off the World title belt.
  • February 14, 2005 – RAW: Batista w/Triple H vs Edge ended in a no contest when JBL’s limousine pulled into the parking lot.
  • ~~~Evolution ran to the parking lot, where Batista found himself in the path of the limousine, but HHH tackled him out of harms way!
  • February 25, 2005 – Live Event @ MSG: Randy Orton and Batista beat Triple H and Ric Flair (Birthday Boy) in a Steel Cage Match.

Whatever Happened to the Evolution Members?:

  • Triple H continued to dominate RAW with Ric Flair as his ass-kissing manager.
  • Batista and Randy Orton went on to great success after leaving Evolution, both winning the World Heavyweight title.
  • Batista’s World title victory came at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania 21 in Los Angeles, California.
  • Also at WrestleMania 21, Randy Orton challenged the Undertaker but came out on the losing end of that encounter.
  • December 10, 2007 – RAW 15th Anniversary: Evolution (Triple H and Batista and Ric Flair) beat Randy Orton and Edge and Umaga by disqualification.

World Wrestling Entertainment – Evolution returns!

  • April 14, 2014 – RAW: The Shield defeated Alberto Del Rio, Fandango, Heath Slater, Titus O’Neil, Jack Swagger, Jinder Mahal, Drew McIntyre, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Alexander Rusev, and Wade Barrett by disqualification when Triple H, Batista, and Randy Orton interfered.
  • ~~~Triple H, Batista, and Orton reformed Evolution.
  • April 28, 2014 – RAW: Roman Reigns fought Randy Orton to a no contest.
  • ~~~The Shield and Evolution interfered.
  • May 4, 2014 – Extreme Rules: The Shield defeated Evolution in a 6-man tag team match.
  • June 1, 2014 – Payback: The Shield defeated Evolution in a “No Holds Barred” elimination match.
  • June 2, 2014 – RAW: Roman Reigns fought Randy Orton to a no contest when Seth Rollins turned on Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
  • October 16, 2018 – SmackDown Live: Evolution made a special appearance on SmackDown 1000th Episode.
