In the Beginning: Randy Orton is the son of legendary wrestler "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. and grandson of Bob Orton Sr... Randy Orton did a few shots as a referee with World Organized Wrestling, a promotion his uncle Barry O. worked for.. Randy Orton started out in St. Louis at the South Broadway Athletic Club for a promotion called Mid Missouri Wrestling Alliance.. Randy Ortons was U/A (Unauthorized Absence) on 2 occasions from the U.S. Marines once for 82 days making him a deserter and he received a dishonorable discharge. October 2001: Randy Orton began wrestling in special dark matches at WWF Television Tapings.. November 27, 2001: Randy Orton suffered a shoulder injury in a dark match at the WWF tapings against Brock Lesnar.. ~~~It is believed the injury is a separated shoulder as he had his MRI done, which means he'd be out three to six weeks.. ~~~If it is a rotator cuff tear, which was considered the worst case scenario, that could require surgery..
