October 14, 2017 – ROH TV (Taped): Bully Ray announced to the world that he was retiring from pro wrestling after taking a bad bump to the head at ROH Death Before Dishonor IV. He will still be doing autograph signings, etc and is still working with his wrestling school.
November 18, 2017 – ROH TV (Taped): Bully Ray cut a promo saying he was still under contract with ROH and was hoping he was going to be able to help the guys backstage and giving ideas. Out came Mark Briscoe attacked Bully Ray and Jay came in to rescue Bully but turned his back in joining his brother. Tommy Dreamer came to help Bully but got attacked by The Briscoes, In the end The Briscoe gave Bully Ray his finisher of the 3-D.
