January 13, 2005 – SmackDown: Amy Webber defeated Joy Giovanni by forfeit when it was learned that Giovanni had been abducted!
~~~Later on, JBL was honored in a ceremony and named “Florida Agriculture Group Man of the Year”.
~~~Kurt Angle came out and discovered Joy Giovanni in the trunk of JBL’s limo, sending Big Show into a rampage!
~~~The Big Show cleaned house on JBL’s cabinet – as Kurt Angle was shown bragging about masterminding the whole thing!
January 20, 2005 – SmackDown: Kurt Angle is forced to stand in the ring alone and issue an apology to Joy Giovanni for his actions.
~~~The Big Show then came down, but Kurt Angle tried to escape, but was forced back down to the ring by JBL’s cabinet!
~~~It was a swerve though, as Kurt Angle (with Jindrak and Reigns) joined JBL’s Cabinet and DESTROYED The Big Show!

February 10, 2005 – SD! in Japan: Amy Webber accidentally shot JBL in the face with a tranquilizer gun! (Meant for The Big Show)
~~~JBL spent the night in a drunken stuper, hanging out with an inflatable Godzilla, then being confronted by The Big Show.
~~~Suddenly, JBL snapped out of it and was joined by Orlando Jordan and The Bashams in beating Big Show down.
February 17, 2005 – SmackDown: RAW’s Batista shows up and smashed JBL’s limousine to bits with a baseball bat and then drives off.
~~~JBL’s Cabinet (Bashams and Jordan) ran backstage to get Batista, leaving JBL in the ring to get attacked by The Big Show!!
~~~JBL’s Cabinet came running back to beat down The Big Show until Batista ran to the ring and cleaned house on JBL’s Cabinet!
February 20, 2005 – No Way Out: John Bradshaw Layfield defeated The Big Show in a Barbed Wire Cage to retain the WWE title!
~~~The Big Show chokeslammed JBL off the top rope THROUGH the ring and then broke open the door to exit the Cage.
~~~However, John Layfield had crawled under the ring and to the floor and was declared “still WWE Champion. JBL!!”
February 24, 2005 – SmackDown: JBL has a “Celebration of Excellance” party which was interrupted/destroyed by The Big Show!

~~~At the end of the match, Kurt Angle interfered and a huge anti-ECW Crusaders vs ECW brawl broke out with ECW on top!
June 12, 2005 – ECW One Night Stand: John Bradshaw Layfield sat in the balcony as part of an anti-ECW crusade led by Eric Bischoff.
~~~Paul Heyman shot on JBL saying “The only reason you were champion for a year is because HHH didn’t want to work Tuesdays!”
~~~JBL was shocked when Steve Austin showed up after the main event to throw a beer bash in honor the ECW wrestlers.

January 26, 2014 – Royal Rumble: John Bradshaw Layfield entered the Royal Rumble but was eliminated in seconds by Roman Reigns.
July 2014: JBL retired from the role of the NXT commissioner.
January 19, 2015 – RAW: On the January 19, 2015 episode of Raw, JBL, along with Ron Simmons (a fellow member of The Acolytes Protection Agency), the New World Order and The New Age Outlaws attacked The Ascension and then, JBL would give a Clothesline from Hell on Viktor.
March 30, 2015 – RAW: Layfield, along with Booker T and Michael Cole, were injured by Brock Lesnar after Seth Rollins refused Lesnar his WWE World Heavyweight Championship rematch.
July 2016: JBL was drafted to SmackDown Live to be on the announcing team.
September 1, 2017: In a tweet posted Friday evening, JBL announced that he is stepping back from his weekly role as SmackDown LIVE announcer to focus on his new role as a Beyond Sport Global Ambassador.
November 22, 2020 – Survivor Series: JBL made an appearance for The Undertaker’s retirement.
April 2021: John Bradshaw Layfield was inducted in the WWE hall of fame.
